If so, then look at the condition of their bedroom, and is it the same as the garage. That'd give a clue.
No I was talking about when they were a kid. They're a grown adult now with a family and stuff. But like i said the house is clean except for their garage which is dedicated to that whatever garage. And ya i guess its 'sentimental' but more on the mental side lol So since they aren't a hoarder what aspects then do yu think present themselves as to make this person sentimental enough to keep every personal/family thing from their life? I don't know what to call this thing they do besides hoarding D:

Yeah I agree...it sounds like person she is talking about is sentimental NN in the 4th and buys a lot of sentimental stuff jupiter in the second combined with NN in the 4th. A real hoarder collects all kinds of stuff to feel safe and is hard to navigate their home bc they don't have stop bottom is a real big problem. IP: Logged |

No this person doesn't buy these things they held onto all this crap from their childhood teenhood adulthood and all that. Besides i don't like how hoarding is being confined into the category of having a messy house and this person probably keeps all those mementos to feel safe because they won't let go of them and i mean the entire garage is full of their stuff. Its not like a couple photographs of old memories its like every photo in existence from family members friends and notes and cards etc... How is that not hoarding? Sentimental is like keeping a thankyou card a while and throwing it away after it starts to yellow. Or keeping a ring that yur sweetheart gave yu in high school. IP: Logged |

I keep cards that are from many many years ago and pictures from my childhood and have them even posted on facebook which all my friends from chilhood that were also in pics had a blast seeing. I would never throw away pictures or cards...perhaps once I scan them and post them up somewhere but if I could preserve them even better. I have moon conjunct IC. I value my past a lot even though I moved to Miami and then colorado bc I am packed with sag influence so I am restless. Edit to add: Labels are used in psychology to separate a functional person from a non functional person so that then the psychologist can help them become functional. When collecting stuff disrupts your relationships with family and gets in the way of you keeping a job or moving around your house and maintaining acceptable hygeine of your house or self then it is a problem and hence the label hoarding. I would say she is a collector and sentimental. IP: Logged |

Interesting. I thought Cappies love things in order. Somehow hoarding in orderly fashion rings like an oxymoron. But your statement reminds me of this Cappie Sun/Venus who is Oh My Gawd if not a hoarder then a very messy "bookkeeper" to put it mildly. His office is FULL with junk. I'm sure he thinks -like you said- that he might need them at some point. Specifically, apart from the mountains of books and magazines (his computer is buried under these mountains - I'm not kidding!), he has this disgusting habit to collect (hoard?) newspapers. They are so many that he "keeps" them on the floor. The result: you have to step over mountains of newspapers to make it to/near his desk. You can't use a chair in his office because of the uneven "floor" of old newspapers. It's very weird really that a Cappie is so messy. I think he's a hoarder. I know he has a Taurus moon but I have no time of birth so I don't know house placement.

I came accross this description at cafeastrology..Pluto in 2nd House When it comes to building your resources, your instincts are powerful. You might find it hard to let go of things, attaching much sentimental value to your possessions or holding on to them because you fear poverty or because you fear a feeling of helplessness and wanting. You might feel a powerful need for control over your money and possessions. You could be driven to make money. Others taking something from you without asking, even right in front of you, could be especially irritating to you. It's not about being stingy--you simply have a strong sense of ownership and prefer that you are asked. You may experience some form of loss in your life in order to learn lessons of change, and that strength, worth, value, and wealth come from within. You are excellent at strategy and planning when it comes to finances, and you are able to spot a good deal or objects of value instinctively. Your advice on these matters can be invaluable to others. I am thinking that pluto conjunct jupiter in the 2nd will produce a major hoarder of things. IP: Logged |

I don't think this person is particularly hoardish in the way you described them, they DO seem sentimental, though. IP: Logged |

This is a good find! Although my person here doesn't have that aspect, I do. lol. Pluto in 2nd House conjuct moon in scorpio. Im not a hoarder but that line right there totally is me. I hate people touching my crap! without asking. And even if they ask and i dont wanna share ill say no anyway but in as nice a way as possible. Which is hard to do haha.

So i asked the person if they were sentimental and they said not particularly. Lol, and I asked why they kept all that stuff and they said so that they "don't forget." I guess its like a mental thing about being able to remember things exactly like they happened. I heard once too that they go in there and just look at the stuff and re read letters and articles or whatever. This is sounding more obsessive actually. IP: Logged |
