Just reading some topics and i started realize that people are using this part for some kind of redemption or diary... Please at least, relate it ASTROLOGY AT THE END IN A LOGICAL WAY. If you need diary, start writing to your diary or make a blog or use your facebook statuses(like many moron do) If you need redemption, go to your religious place or redeem by doing sth, not in internet. If we look at it another way, having stories and personal life on the forum and checking the transits to the natal charts, we may be able to understand/learn better what the person is going through. Application could be through seeing what they are experiencing and avoiding what may be in our own natal chart and with transits. It is not entirely pointless. Learning not necessary has to be as what the topic thread typed. IP: Logged |

--agreed On top of that, I would also say that it puts a human face on the signs and placements. Many a time I've read forums and hearing from people of signs/placements that I struggle to get along with has, honestly, made me feel a little more compassion for them and a little more understanding. Plus, the only people who have any right to tell us what we can and cannot post where are the mods. So, yeah, unless the mods say something or set guidelines, no one else really has any authority to do that.

Guys.., probably you dont/cant read or you cant understand...
As i write there, if the moment or incident or whining is related any particular part of astrology at the end such as aspects, transits then it is super cool which is purpose of these part. IP: Logged |

There's a place on the site for just about anything; if things don't fit, they are moved to the Forum with a better fit. Just make sure it's related to Astrology if you post it in this one--except for Asteroids and Personal Readings. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I suppose I agree with this, actually. But I think there are levels of personalizing that I've happened to read on here.I think when people, or perhaps when I, post things that are personal, it is because I want to hear something that is more experiential. They want to know how other people have experienced a transit, aspect, placement...etc. Particularly if it is an emotional issue or they want to know how something feels, something visceral. Sometimes, things can be presented very abstractly, so 'story telling' is a way of taking the abstract conceptions and placing them into concrete molds and experiences for analysis and consideration--whether they be 'objective' or 'subjective.' There are mediums and extremes of this, I feel. There are moments when a detached, theoretical approach to astrology is useful for me and probably to others as well. When you want to almost take a step back from the present situation. Many people seem to be driven to astrology by some personal event in their lives or person...etc. When one wants to consider a very broad stroke or overview. Then, there are moments when the personalized emotional component is useful, not just as a person, but as a [beginning/amateur/experienced] astrologer as well. But, I think there is room for balance presentations of both. So, yeah! IP: Logged |

RANDALL, I wish asteroid astrology was named something else because people move ANY thread that is NOT about main planets and signs to the Asteroid forum, even if its NOT about asteroids. For instance, someone moved the BML thread someone just made to the asteroid forum. Black Moon Lilith is not an asteroid. Neither are any of the fixed stars talked about in that forum. It might confuse people who are newer to astrology.IP: Logged |

We have been moving towards discussing fixed stars there also. I will add them to the description.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Can I just say WHO CARES? I think this place can be healing for a lot of people and find it insulting for others who this probably feels aimed at. Yes, lets make people feel like total cr@p. I think dialogue of any kind can open up a lot more understanding(astrological makeup being known). The reason conversation happens is letting it flow without unnecessary blockades. IM not saying lets start talking about the weather, Im just saying, instead of going STFU...try to move the convo to astrology...learn from others...let it flow.IP: Logged |

I have to say I'm relatively new here and I have posted about personal stuff from an astrological point of view (ie....my most recent post) and yes, VERY healing. I also pick up bits here and there, however small that teach me more about astrology. I'm like a sponge, and the less lingo and astrological jargon used, the more I can understand and learn. If it's in simple everyday terms, I can use it so much better.IP: Logged |

this is how I have always looked at it myself. reading people's stories and reading their personality cannot only be linked to transits but also their natal charts which I see it as an opportunity for me and others to learn more about astrology. Not to mention that we live in a world already too dehumanized were people are becoming more and more isolated and losing a sense of community so if we can all learn astrology while retaining a sense of community I think that is even better!

There's nothing wrong with personal stuff, but post it in Lindaland Central 2.0 or another more specific Forum.IP: Logged |
