I came across a description for Venus in 1st house. Those of you that have had it in synastry, did it manifest this way?

Yes the interpretation makes sense, putting the two symbolisms together.
though I usually do not quite agree with the interpretation of the ASC. Just because something is very visible and apparent, doesn´t make it superficial.

But apart from that, yes, I agree.
I have a certain liking for men with Sag ASC, and even though that probably may have to do with my DESC-ruler being in Sagittarius and the familiarity that comes with Sag ASC`s (I have one myself), usually it puts my Cappy Venus in their 1st house, and I tend to find these guys atttractive.
