I made sure we did not get married in venus retro becuase of all the research i read on picking a date, it looked like venus and mercury retro were the worst. mercury for signing the marriage license.

Jupiter was retrograde AND conjunct fixed star Algol.
Saturn was stationing Retrograde.
Pluto was direct but conjunct fixed star Algorab.

Before I was a year old, we moved into the house I'm currently in (Spring 1979). It has always had a problem with the basement flooding (the previous owners couldn't be bothered to tell my parents that apparently). Then, when I was 4 (~late 1982-early 1983), we were burglarized and not only did the burglars make it across state lines and evade capture, the insurance company did really cover anything and I think cancelled the policy on us, forcing my dad to sell some of his machine shop equipment to keep the house and putting us in some hard times for a long while as I recall.

Hearing dad talk about it, mom never really recovered from that experience. Her depression got worse, she was eventually checked into the hospital for observation for a couple weeks when I was in my 2nd go of Kindergarten (1986 - yeah, was left back, was too young to have really started the first year considering I turned 5 the week before that school year started (late August 1983)), and at the beginning of fifth grade (Sept. 1989) my mom went into the hospital with pancreatitis. Died 18 days later (ironically after stabilizing enough to come out of the ICU). So yes, the marriage ended in death due to illness.
