oh i am thrilled. i just had a gigantic revelation about my chart, woo! was looking at my midpoint chart and i saw that my moon/pluto midpoint conjuncts my jupiter which is my chart ruler.

so i looked it up (dang google doesn't let you search 'moon/pluto = jupiter' even w/ quotes) and i found THE definitive explanation for my life, and my mommy dearest and why my reaction to her psychotic hateful 'mothering' of me was to just be a happier more enthusiastic person in general.. and how i tend to find the edges of ppls' emotional deals (rather involuntarily i think??) and attempt to supplant the pain with joyful enthusiasm.. etc.

so yeah jupiter as the midpoint is:

Jupiter: An enthusiasm that can radically transform how others feel. The ability to find emotional limits and push beyond them, usually ultimately with successful results. To feel confident that one can get in touch with one's deepest emotions and heal one's deepest wounds.

and the moon/pluto midpoint is about:

Planets activating the Moon/Pluto midpoint
Principle: Obsessive feelings. Intense, overpowering impulses which arise from the subconscious. The compelling need to come to terms with the past and all those events therein which have created trauma. The relentless desire to break out of old, limiting and restricting emotional patterns into a cosmic emotional reality where one can connect intimately and freely with others.

moral of the story: midpoints are amazing. here is the website if you wanna check out yours! looks pretty thorough:

The Point of Meaning
“Sun/Moon Mid-point
The most important midpoint in astrology, the Sun/Moon midpoint represents the externalization, practical realization, purpose and the meaning of personal existence. The sign placement of your Sun / Moon midpoint will reveal your overall character. The house placement of your Sun / Moon” http://www.cornerstone-astrology.com/articles/midpoints_astrology.htm
third planet conj sun/moon midpoints http://cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpointspictures2.html http://cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpointpictures.html

the *third planet* conj sun/moon or Asc/Mc could be described as weak conjunction, bit like parallels (conj) and contra parallels (oppositions)

For a planet to BE conj this midpoint, necessarily the must be in *hard aspect* in the natal chart...ie: conj, square or opposition..... so you will already have a flavour how these hard aspects work and I doubt whether you will identify or feel this influences/energy. BUT like parallels if you don't have a natal aspect and a planet is conj this midpoint then it brings in another energy in

The orb has to be very tight 1’ or max 1’30” to be effective though
