Topic: What ascendent sign complements each sun sign the best?

I've been thinking about how each sun could possibly be best complemented by a certain ascendent. This is more apperence wise but you can bring personality into it...For example...My gran has a Libra sun and Virgo ascendent and in her day she won a big beauty contest for her county. Si I've been wondering if anyone has noticed any patterns between sun signs and the rising signs... :P IP: Logged |

Libra/Virgo - good combo.I will bit veer off from you question; I will speak in general manner- You have the classic combo :
- Earth/Water combination for women
- Fire/Air combination for men
Then it is the ethereal combo :
And exotic combo :
^Sun/Asc combination,last two categories- regardless of gender. To be specific,as to what is appealing to me: Scorpio and Libra/Gem Asc,Cancer with Virgo Asc,Libra with Cappy Asc,Leo with Leo Asc,to name a few

I think the sextile sign in the same category - is best. It would make it easy for the person to express themselves.
So for Aries that's Gemini (personal)
For Taurus it's Cancer (personal)
For Leo it's Libra (social)
For Virgo it's Scorpio (social)
For Sagittarius it's Aquarius (transpersonal)
For Capricorn it's Pisces (transpersonal)and vice versa ^^ IP: Logged |

ooooh good question, Thanks - I've never thought about this!My instinct is to say trine but I cant work out what effect that would have on house placement! lol

sun capricorn aries rising cappy has exalt in mars and aries gives cappy confidence in areas cap usually doesn't have and youthfulness and playfulness to its character rather than being strictly business and serious all the time. killaa combo IP: Logged |

I'm triple water, and I guess you can say my Sun Scorpio makes a good combo with my Pisces ascendant since the form a 1deg trine. IP: Logged |

I think having a 'confident' asc with a more introverted sun helps alot.I'm an earth sun, so I'm glad I have a fire asc. I wouldn't wanna be too much earth, or too firey, think my air placements balance things out. IP: Logged |

I've REALLY found a pattern with people that have pisces and libra in their placements. They're really often good looking, it's not even a coincidence. Like pisces with libra moon = pretty, libra with pisces moon = pretty. Hell any combo, as long as there's pisces and libra they're pretty.o_O IP: Logged |

But then according to the above, where does Libra/Virgo fit? There's nothing about Air/Earth in your list. (Unless you mean it interchangeably as well for instance you listed Earth/Air meaning Sun: Earth and Asc: Air but did you also mean Asc: Earth and Sun: Air? In any case, I'm a Fire/Air which according to your list is a male combo. However, I'm a rather feminine looking woman (thanks perhaps to my Venus in Scorpio squaring my Air Mars in the 1st). Cap sun, Leo ASC...exotic.Strangely, I feel like I don't look like anyone else....even though I am so average looking, my husband can never find me in a crowd. I just blend in. You have to zero in on my features* and notice my facial expressions before you "get" the exotic, methinks. *Edit: I could say some negative stuff about that close-up view, but in an effort to be kind to myself, and if it's relevant to the thread... I have dark hair and dark eyes (earthy.) In the sunlight I have a lot of natural blond highlights (I was blond as a child, and all my kids are blond) and my eyes appear mostly light green.
