I know this is a weird question, and I am pretty new in my study of astrology so I apologize if this is something that has an obvious yes or no answer.

I have been wondering about synastry and/or composites between more than 2 charts. I am mostly referring to those sort of friendships and relationships that work better (or worse) in a group.

For example, my two best friends and I are like the 3 Musketeers. Our energies just seem to work better when the 3 of us are together. That's not to say we don't get along one-on-one, quite the contrary. But it's always the best when the three of us are together. When one is missing--the two of us together inevitably talk about the "missing" friend, how much we miss them, what they would be saying if they were here, etc.

Is this something that is practiced at all in astrology? I was just thinking I'd check our charts to see how the *three* of us work together so well. I've already read the synastry and composites in the traditional "one-on-one" sense. I just don't feel the question has been answered that way.

And we called ourselves 3 Marauders (HPotter thing, lol)

I did synastries for the two composites Try that and lemme know what do you get

edit: Two composites, because I chose myself as some sort of focal point,I introduced two of my friends to each other. So,synastries of the composites between me and each of them.

Interesting, i hadn't thought of that. I will check it out!

In our friendship, the way we met is more complicated so it's hard to say who the "focal point" of our friendship is.

I also wanted to point out the opposite. As in, the inclusion of one extra person in a synastry creates all sorts of discord.

I see what you mean. But,maybe it is manageable, since it is a friendships relation? Socialising = being part of group,so 3+ is natural?

There's an option on astro to look at 3 person composites. I've done it when I lived with 2 roommates and we had Sun exactly conjunct the 4th house cusp lol

^ oh wow gonna have to give that a go to see whether it works for my family. I get along with each person ok on an individual basis but when three of them are together the energy drives me nuts.

OP: Are you all in junior high?!

Maybe your friends' separation anxiety can be cured with techniques used on puppies: leave the room at random times, gradually increasing the intervals/duration. Praise good behavior, they sound like they're codependent and need constant reassurance anyway.

you would have to split them out and analyse two people at a time as you can only get a bi wheel from astro.com

You then by hand ( labour intensive)could compare chart by chart.there is no easy way to do what you are asking

Basic astrology forum, How to approach Synastry http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000667.html
when you get this chart, please also post the *pdf file*, above left should be *view additional tables (PDF)* This will bring up the aspect grid –at a glance planet to planet. Post the whole PDF file, what we are looking for if scroll down to ‘partner comparison’ aspect grid
Please remember to reduce the orb ratio down to 40% as the max orb between planets is 3'

That's really obnoxious. We're all in our twenties. There's nothing wrong with enjoying our time together, but that's not a sign of immaturity. And anyway, I was not implying we *need* to be around each other constantly (although we like to see each other often). I was explaining the way the *3* of us like to be together; our friendship has a better dynamic as a group. What a pity, apparently you don't have friends like I do.

Anyway, I figured out how to do 3-way composites on astro.com. It's called the multi-composite method, if anyone's interested. Here's our chart:

I like it!
