Hey everyone, im sorry if this has already been asked on here, i couldn't find it through the search engine. Im wondering at how many degrees do you start to feel saturn transits.. The reason i ask is because my ASC is at 0 degrees leo. When the transiting saturn hit libra 27 or so, my friends become somewhat distant.. Even those i was really close to. I thought saturn didn't cause much trouble till exact. What have been your experiences with saturn transits? IP: Logged |

You might need an advil if I list everything right now. Although Pluto was probably largely responsible, too. I'll come back later. It wasn't all bad. I loved my Saturn Return, mostly, with the exception of the dizzy spells, and the suddenly feeling old when I thought about going back to school (I ended up not going, and now I regret it). 29 is not old. (rolling my eyes at myself here.) IP: Logged |

Is Saturn retrograde in your chart? My return was horrible, but I did end up going back to school. The Pluto in Scorp generation is awesome IP: Logged |

I think the OP did not ask for the Saturn-Return specifically, but for Saturn transits in general. Lava Flower,
I am VERY certain I start feeling them one degree before exact. When I had Tr Saturn being exactly one degree from my natal Mars/Saturn-mp (Ebertin called it the "death-midpoint", nice hu?) and exactly one degree from squaring my natal Sun, I was developing very nasty difficulties with my digestive system (I did have Virgo emphasis in the Solar Return as well, so the kind of ailments made sense). These troubles lessened considerably, when Tr saturn after one degree separating from my Sun, maybe a bit earlier. The troubles were back again a year later, when Tr Saturn was one degree applying to my natal Pluto, which squares my 6th house ruler Venus. Now, I`ve been free of any trace of health trouble like this for over a year, and Tr Saturn is nowwhere to be seen near to my Sun or Venus (as a matter of fact Tr Saturn had been sextile my Sun). I do think thouh that most transits are felt about 3 degrees applying, but when they were exact, they will lose impact much more quickly, maybe within a degree or even less.
Unless, they will bridge a natal aspect. Like Tr Pluto does in my case. I have natal Venus on 6 Cap and natal Pluto on 9 Cap I guess even when Tr Pluto will have left my natal Venus by being on 7 or 8 degrees, it still will square my own Pluto, and therefore trigger the natal Venus-Pluto-square, so that natal Venus will still be indirectly influenced by Tr Pluto, even though the conjunction is separating.

Teasel,I was suffering from dizzy spells since being 15 years old, sometimes they felt even life threatening, as if I was losing contact with my "physical shell". For some weird reason after having some strong events of eye migraine in 2008, with flickering lights in front of my eyes and pressure on my skull, and crown chakra, the dizzy spells have disappeared for most part. Well, sometimes I feel a bit dizzy, if too much is whirling around in my mind, like last night, but they are mostly gone in a short while and have nowhere the strong impact and are definitely not as fearinducing as they used to be. Are you still suffering from these dizzy spells, or if they have gone, do you know when or what made them go away? IP: Logged |

I once heard that saturn transit just make blockages so you can make yourself stronger with thoose dificulties and than, when the transit pass away you can't imagine how you lived before that!I remember when my saturn squared sun last year, I have to be honest, at the time was terrible, I felt I couldn't do anything. But than I realised that most of the thing I was doing wasn't althentical, was to impress others. It's related on the 1st house. Don't worry about your frieds, who really care about you and the friends that really worth caring about will remain. You can fill a little lonely, but it's a transit and it's not forever! The good part about Saturn on the 1st house is that you'll have a VERY clear self-image, so you should go to the gym or something. I regrat a little because I didn't cared about my body in this transit, I'm too thin although I don't always see myself as that, and was the fist time I saw me really thin. Now saturn is in the 2nd and my self-image isn't very accurate anymore. So, Saturn ask us to be very althentical and at the same disciplined. If you feel that there is something important going wrong, fix it! If you don't know how to fix try to learn from it! I guess this is what Saturn asks us for. Also, there is any natal planet making an aspect with transiting saturn? IP: Logged |

Thank you for the reply's everyone Ceridwen, im glad you're made it thru and healed after the the saturn-mars midpoint transit all while saturn was squaring your sun. Sound scary. Im not especially worried about losing friends, I realize that those that matter will always be in my life no matter how things may seem to me during the transit. In fact i will take the opportunity to reflect, do my own thing and learn some more about astrology Saturn will retrograde and come back later on in the year. I read information about the square to the ASC transit prior and then in late Nov i started noticing things. In the beginning of January it was very obvious. I was just surprised is all I suppose i shouldn't take it personally, no one seems to escape that saturn IP: Logged |

To be honest, I usually start to feel Saturn transits at 3' applying. I feel it most intensely at 1' applying right before it hits exact. To me, it seems that once it hits exact the pressure of the aspect is 'released' so to speak. If it goes over the point and then retrogrades back, I can still feel the aspect, but it is less intense than the first transit, since usually by that point I have been already dealing with the energy of the transit. So, right now I am currently having my Saturn return (my Saturn is at 0' Scorpio). Saturn is currently at 29' Libra about to retrograde backwards. I have been feeling the Saturn energy very acutely in the form of hopelessness, minor depression, realization that time has been slipping away from me, and that there are many things that I still want to accomplish and do and I've been trying to figure out how to accomplish them. This will probably be the worst of the energy for me because it will retrograde, come forward again, and then release the energy once it hits my Saturn exact. To be honest, I've been feeling the energy for awhile anyway, since Saturn transits my Pluto first (27'Libra) so it's like an amplification of the energy. So, with Saturn about to hit your 1st house, you are likely to start feeling it a few degrees before it actually goes into the house, but then once it gets there, you will be more able to figure out ways to cope with that energy in your first house.
