Can someone cheer me up or remind me that this is nuts?

0 degrees Leo is associated with homicide. http://astrologystudy.blogspot.com/2011/01/leo-individual-degrees-astrology.html

That's where my Saturn is, and I've got Saturn in the 12th house.

So am I more likely to get murdered? Surely these are outdated or flat-out wrong?

I agree with Venus, don't worry about it Faith, I am sure there are plenty of people who have "bad" placements that are considered super malefic but it doesn't mean they will have a tragic life/death.

Keep positive

Faith, don't worry about it. Saturn in 12th is a difficult placement indeed, but it can be overcome. The degree is not relevant.

On an unrelated note, if any of you lovely ladies with whom I feel an affinity with would like to talk via email, mine is blondapenet@yahoo.com.

Those degrees may offer difficulties in the energy of them which may have to be overcome, but you cannot say "murder" etc

However, it may make your Saturn placement harder, due to the degree, imo

12th House Planets
By amiann | Published: December 14, 2011 |

Some respected Astrologers shirk when they see planets in the 12th house. They shirk with empathy for the person who must deal with planets placed here. The astrological chart is the wheel of life. It goes from birth to death. The 12th house represents death. As such, the person is not your typical earth bound person occupied with earth bound pursuits. Some part of that person lives in the next dimension. As you can imagine, it makes the sphere of life represented by the 12th house planet harder. For example, if Venus, the planet of love, is in the 12th house, love comes harder for this person. This person may see other people falling in love, seemingly effortlessly, and wonder “Why, me? why is it so hard for me?” Venus in the 12th house wants love, as much as any other Venus, or person, but the 12th house makes Venus not in step with the ways of the world, almost awkward and self doubting. If one has Mars in the 12th house, one’s anger and drive may turn inward to such a degree that the person may boil with anger, but be afraid to express it. This would be a classic aspect for passive-aggression. The Sun in the 12th may make one insecure about shining one’s light, standing out and standing up for one’s unique identity. Saturn in the 12th may want to join in a group, but will wait on the sidelines, for fear of rejection. Pluto in the 12th may push his primal emotions in to the realm of fantasy and be driven by sexual fantasies that seem to propel him to places he does not wish to go. Uranus in the 12th house may, similarly, have fetishes and unusual ways that may cause him to feel he is different in a way that may feel hopeless. Jupiter in the 12th house may make the person feel as if luck is elusive. Other people seem to get all the breaks while he watches from the sidelines. Jupiter in the 12th may protect the person from near miss accidents . It is called the Guardian Angel placement. Neptune is the easiest planet to have in the 12th house, but it is not easy. No 12th house placement is. This person may be psychic. I have this.

A Song for the 12th House
By amiann | Published: February 17, 2012 |

I have been haunted by a song. What is the song trying to say? Why is it so haunting? To what does it speak? I think it is a 12th House song. The 12th House hurts so badly, because the person yearns, but cannot seem to get what he yearns for. It seems he cannot act in his own behalf. He swims in the waters of Pisces, wanting and yearning, yet not being able to make his dreams become reality. That seems to be the legacy of 12th house planets.I seem to be doing many charts with 12th house planets. How does one put in to words, the feeling of living in an alternate reality? Non 12th House people do not understand. The 12th House person is a sort of alien. He feels things more deeply. He feels pain more deeply. Rejection hits him deeper. In that sense, he is living in a world within a world. Music can speak where words fail. Does this song speak to your 12th House reality? It speaks to mine.

Thank you for the replies!

I also have the 12th house ruler in the 8th, about which one old text predicts:
A chronic or languid illness. A painful death.

Well, I won't know if this or true or not until I die. What lesson can I take away from these eerie things?

*Enjoy the moment* Really learn to love life intensely.

Ami Anne, I love this song and totally, completely agree, it's like a theme for the 12th house! Having good music helps me love life more, too.

Namaste!

Thanks for your interest, Ami Anne.

Yes, only Saturn in the 12th, with Cancer on the house cusp. Pisces moon in the 8th...I guess the Pisces moon strengthens the 12th house connection somehow?

You know what, I just realized that this might be showing my near-death experience at birth. I don't know the precise details, my parents are dead, but it was something like, I swallowed too much amniotic fluid and was "drowning" in it.

Saturn is near my ascendant so maybe that was it.

Well I like to think it's over!

Thank you for your kind words, Faith. They made my day. Is your Saturn within 10 degrees of the ASC.If so, it would be conj the ASC, like mine. That is easier than 12th House. I am so sorry to hear about your parents, Faith.

((hug))) I love to make people's day!
And thank you for your condolences

So you have Saturn conjunct ASC too? I guess we could talk on and on about this.

Anything you can tell me, I'm all ears to hear about.

I know I was born around 6:45 pm, but I don't know my exact ascendant. My birth certificate is in my safe deposit box and I haven't checked it yet!

I'm sorry for just laying out my whole autobiography here but it's just started clicking with me, how perhaps certain events in my life are related to this 12th house-8th house thing.

I have Jupiter in the 9th, close to the 8th I think...maybe that's why I've had NEAR death experiences but lucked out?

For example, I thought I was going to die at age 22 when my car got plowed into by a Mack truck. My car was almost completely demolished EXCEPT for where I was sitting. I was perfectly fine but it looked like a miracle, I mean...you should see the car.

And I was in another car accident where everyone was hurt except me, AND I almost got hit by a car when I was little, but it just ran over my foot.

Hmm!

So maybe Jupiter is taking care of me....I need to get my birth time exact.

Thanks for listening, I appreciate it!

saturn in or ruling 12th house can show a father either absent, missing or simply effectual in setting boundaries structures and alike in early childhood. psychological or physical absence of a father (or authority figure) who worked, or who provided a model for you in terms of discipline, organisation, and coping with the realities of everyday living, you were not encouraged to develop your ambition or your competitive spirit, or to believe in your potential for success. This can add listlessness and not finding ones direction

Serve or suffer are the keynotes here and the individual can choose which way he will take: but choose he must. Always a subconscious wish to retreat.
Craving for solitude. Great sensitivity. A deep seated selfishness has to be dissolved through suffering. These people need a sense of inner purpose and make good behind the scenes organisers. They often suffer from an inexplicable fear of authority or concern about the future, and should find a way to develop self confidence.
Capable of bringing stability into other people’s lives, by helping and organising those less fortunate than yourself.
Don’t like to acknowledge figures of authority (including parental)

Saturn can indicate deep seated loneliness, fear or guilt, despair or negativity which may be difficult to confront. But it also shows the ability to apply yourself with determination and/or ¬concen¬tration to some SOLITARY TASK perhaps to your work, which helps you to bring order to the internal chaos.

the often hidden weakness that having saturn here can suggest with Saturn or Capricorn here, you hesitate to openly express and come to terms with your negative feelings, particularly fear, guilt, loneliness, and mistrust. Because you haven't dealt with the fear and self doubt, which inhibit you, you may deny your desire for professional accomplishment. This Saturnian influence can manifest as psychological rigidity and withholding, due to inability to let go of past patterns. You above all, need to come to terms with your repression.

Saturn's strength and positive side here provides inner strength and self discipline, a capacity to cope with loneliness and handle responsibility, and a ¬willingness to work on your own with determination and ¬perseverance.

This house is where you learn to 'become whole' you could reject or deny someone you love.

Now here's a thing why not learn Astrology Properly from experienced astrologers, like myself??

Ruler of the Twelfth House in the Eighth House

"You may be able to easily receive past life impressions during your sleep.
Any buried psychological problems you may experience will be purged at some point and will go through a complete transformation.
Trying to control or manipulate a situation in any way that is not completely aboveboard can backfire. A direct and open approach to getting what you want can avoid undesirable repercussions later." http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm#hr12

Thanks so much for the help...SaggiMC, the description of Saturn in the 12th that you posted does ring true for me in many ways.

Ami Anne...your insights are clear and greatly appreciated!

I hope you won't feel any pressure to write for my sake, but whenever you get the chance to talk more about it... I'm listening!

Because I could have Saturn in the 12H with the whole sign system. However I have it in 11H w/ the Placidus, Koch, and Equal house systems.

I thought there was something to individual degree claims as well but i realized that the interpretations are inconsistent .

For instance, some sources say that 9 degrees of pisces is a tragic, body in the ditch, suffering degree, yet others say its a positive, beneficial influence. Same goes for neptune south node at 11.11 degrees of aquarius..

One thing that i would encourage you to look into are the fixed stars. But again, there are sooo many and the degree has to be to the minute. Two degrees right next to each other can have very different influences. I will post a link in a bit.

But i wouldn't worry too much, my ASC is at 0 degrees leo
