I was wondering whether anyone can illuminate for me the difference in experience when my partner's sun is conjunct my ic, and his sun is conjunct my dc. Our suns are also trine to each other. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I posted something like this in an earlier thread except our Suns sextile.
On CafeAstrology it says that Sun conjunct DC is one of the strongest compatibilities in synastry.
"When the Sun conjuncts the Descendant in synastry, the attraction is fascinating. The Sun person mirrors many of the traits that the Descendant person lacks, and unconsciously seeks in order to fill a balancing act within himself or herself. This aspect represents a powerful connection that can be difficult to break. In many ways, there is a feeling of being "meant to be together". However, although it's a binding tie, it's not always an easy one. If either person is immature or defensive, there can be frequent arguments about who is "right". However, each person is magnetically drawn to the other. They take an active interest -- and role -- in one another's lives. If the relationship is a mature one, the individuals involved can learn much from each other." http://cafeastrology.com/synastry.html

In one another site about Synastry aspects in Marriage.
"(O = Often, S = Seldom, N = No Influence)
his Asc opposite her Sun N 23 23 (14 .. 37) 0.0 0.0
her Asc opposite his Sun O 32 26 (21 .. 33) 1.4 76.1" http://www.astroinvestigators.com/marriageframe.htm

With the Ic conjunction I'm guessing the this increases the feeling of being "soulmates" not only does it seem like it's meant to be, but you feel like your at home w/ eachother.

Thanks for your reply. I am surprised that, according to the second marriage site you mentioned, my sun on his dc has no influence, that is weird when cafe astrology says that he would see me as his natural complement and partner with this placement.

Your welcome ^^
Oh, I thought his Sun was on your DC according to your first post. I doubit it has No Influence, afterall it is a powerful aspect in synastry. Again, especially when his Sun is on your IC that is definitely some fated conjunctions.

Basic astrology forum, How to approach Synastry http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000667.html
To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology….

Please remember to reduce the orb ratio down to 40% (ONLY for syn bi wheel) as the max orb between planets is 3'. To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology….Composite should be 85% orbs

when you get this chart, please also post the *pdf file*, above left of chart look for *view additional tables (PDF)* This will bring up 2pages. Scroll down to last page for the *aspect grid* (ONLY for syn bi wheel) THIS is very important as it seems to show more aspects than is visible on the bi wheel…

problem is uploading to photobucket you have to change this from abode format into a picture. This is done by getting the relevant page/grid/bit in front of you,on screen then( if bit big press ctrl and - to reduce image). the press ‘prtsc sysrq’ - top row inbetween pause break and F12. This has copied to clipboard.

Paste into Paint or some other photo software. Crop the picture and save to hard drive, then upload to photobucket, select chart press IMG and past link into thread.... done

Sorry, I made a mistake writing this question originally.
