Do you think some placements and/or aspects are common for dancers, and that even make a living of it?

I know one guy that is a dancer and he has a Gemini Mars, which I can imagine giving him good body coordination. Although I would think something else could contribute.
Can you think of other things that could be important? Dancing is very artistic, and Leo comes to mind.

My friend has been a semi-professional dancer and dance-teacher for several years.

She has a Stellium of Mercury-Venus-Mars-Pluto-conjunction in Libra in 12th house, with Uranus at the end of the 5th house.

As a dancer myself, I've looked into this in the past. What I've found:

-Mars/Neptune aspects
-Pallas conjunct Asc. or Mercury
-Emphasized 3rd House
-Mars in Sagittarius
-Taurus/Leo placements

I'm not sure about this as it's said that mars in pisces is bad for agression/athletics/etc...and although it is true that there is a somewhat statistical correlation involving lack of pisces, the greatest athletes in the world vs. the majority have mars in pisces...point in case...

Anderson Silva - the greatest fighter who ever lived...is a mars in pisces...and he fights and dances like a balerina...

so to make a long story short...if you're asking this to be a dancer why not just go with nurture instead of nature?

In the beginning of Liz Greene's (famous prolific author on astrology), “Astrology for Lover's” book there is a good chapter on What astrology can and can't do.
“Astrology is baffling because it works. What it's not is a way of foretelling the future, or of determining whether that tall dark stranger will turn up next week. To put it briefly the horoscope is a map of the psyche of the individual. it's a kind of blueprint, a seed plan, a model of the energies and drives which make up a person. Because it's calculated precisely for time and place, it's unique, unlike the sun sign column. Even identical twins are born at least four minutes apart, and in four minutes the picture has shifted.”

quote:
Astrology can be used to help you in many ways. It can reveal damaging behavioral patterns or forewarn you of upcoming challenges. It can help you pinpoint latent talents you may possess and provide you with specific hints on how to best develop them. Astrology can also point out expansive, rewarding trends that are coming up and assist you in figuring out how to take advantage of them before they fade. Finally, astrology is an excellent means to determine the perfect timing for certain actions.

The beauty of astrology is that it will help you to always be in complete control of your life. Astrology is not fortune telling: but it is a recognition that we have free will. We know we are not controlled by the planets, but the planets do create a certain atmospheres of constriction or ease, that keeps us on our toes. Alas, you cannot blame the planets and say, for example, Saturn made me do it! The few times I have said this to an audience, most people laugh it does sound funny.

“The planets work to help us help ourselves. By applying pressure, planets help us to overcome inertia. At other times, they help us to see unproductive or even self-destructive behavior that we may have never noticed before but that we can fix. Astrologers believe we must be accountable for our actions and to recognize that we do have choices. The study of astrology will help you sort out all your options and to act at the proper time. http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/whatastrologycandoforyou.html

I understand the Mars in Gemini association because you speak with your body. I'm a professional dancer and I have this as well.

You can see my chart via the link below (Gumbi) if you see anything else. For me its the 5th house that is packed.

When I was in dancing class, the teacher said I was the best there. I wish I'd been able to continue, because I loved it (hated the stage fright, but loved the dancing).]

Mars in Pisces trine Uranus/ascendant.

My mother loves to dance, and is very good at it. She has Mars in leo, conjunct Pluto, trine her Sun.

I looked into this a while back. I can't say that Mars in Pisces stood out but I wonder if this has something to do with the kind of dancers we're attracted to?

If you go to http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Main_Page

you can look up the charts of famous dancers and see what you come up with. I noticed Mars/Pluto aspects are common enough. Mars in Virgo/Taurus too. Professional dancing takes a lot of discipline and endurance so I can see why Mars/Pluto contacts are useful.

My friend`s Mars is in Libra, though her Venus/mars/Mercury stellium is conjunct Pluto, sextile Saturn and sextile Neptune. (and opposite Moon).

she has a Kite formation, a Grand trine of Moon in Aries in 11th, Saturn in Leo in 3rd, Neptune in Sag in 6th.
And her Moon opposes her Mercury/Venus/mars/Pluto in Libra in 5th, and additionally her ASC-DESC-axis squares the Libra-stellium and Aries Moon. It is all very interconnected.

I myself am good with choreography and learning moves and I have an emphasized Third and a Leo placement, as well as a strong Fifth. Pallas in Taurus trine Rising.

My mumma is an amateur weightlifter (as in it's a hobby, not for shows or competitions). Aside from the cultural dancing of the heritage her and I share, she claims to have no talent in dancing whatsoever.
