I know 2 people with this placement and both seem to be very "I'm different and I'm unique and I will keep shouting it from the rooftops and anyone who isn't different or unique is just no good". Is this a typical Venus in 12th type attitude? Critical of anyone who is not "quirky". If you ask me judging is judging, even if your'e judging 'mainstream'. It's still non accepting, which is something else they like to advocate, "accept others for who they are bla bla bla" but they are indirectly judging too.IP: Logged |

I have Venus in 12th but I'm not at all like that.In fact this the first time I have read something like this It could be the placement of Uranus in their first house, conjunct Asc or its ruler that could make them like that.IP: Logged |

I have Venus in 12th House in Aquarius. I don't know if I can relate to that need for quirkiness. Or for that matter, the aloofness that I'm supposed to have in Aquarius. Or the secrecy of emotions aspect. I'm not sure I agree with the popular perceptions out there.IP: Logged |

Maybe it's just these particular people then. Very 'hippie' like but too in your face with it. Both of them, like me, have a fair bit of fire and water but very little earth or air. IP: Logged |

I think venus in the 12th is super hard. They are very afraid to be direct with their love.------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Venus is exalted in the 12th house, partly because of their sensitive, compassionate nature. The downside of this placement are the secret affairs that always seem to find them. The very best caregivers and nurses have this placement. IP: Logged |

I have aqua venus in 12th + sun aqua... I am secretive about my "quirkiness". At work my coworkers think I'm a pearl wearing sorority girl... They are shocked when I talk about football, astrology, or hiking. Whereas my friends know I'm out there and get weirded out when I'm on a business call or use sales jargon.... I divide my worlds sorta.------------------ Aqua Sun Gem Moon Aries RIsing IP: Logged |

Venus in the 12th House By amiann | Published: January 21, 2012 | Venus may be one of the hardest planets to have in the 12th house. Neptune is thought to be the easiest, followed by Jupiter. After that, it is a matter of opinion, perhaps. To me, Venus seems hard. We, all, need love. Love is the soul food for the human. Venus is the planet of love, all love, not just that between lovers. The 12th house Venus seems to sit on the sidelines and watch love go by. There does not seem to be much for her. She may think that the outer world is denying her, but that is not the case. The outer world, reflects the inner world, in most cases. This Venus hurts too much to put herself forward and risk rejection. She may try, but she may find herself hiding under the bed, as the result of the effort and vowing not to try, again. Love seems to come easily to some. To Venus in the 12th house, she is a creature of the next dimension, as are all holders of 12th house planets. As such, she needs a lover to take her hand and encourage her to come out,and tell her that she is loved despite her flaws, which she magnifies more than any one else . Be gentle with this Venus. You will have a special creature love you, if she gives you her heart. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

A Song for the 12th House By amiann | Published: February 17, 2012 | EditI have been haunted by a song. What is the song trying to say? Why is it so haunting? To what does it speak? I think it is a 12th House song. The 12th House hurts so badly, because the person yearns, but cannot seem to get what he yearns for. It seems he cannot act in his own behalf. He swims in the waters of Pisces, wanting and yearning, yet not being able to make his dreams become reality. That seems to be the legacy of 12th house planets.I seem to be doing many charts with 12th house planets. How does one put in to words, the feeling of living in an alternate reality? Non 12th House people do not understand. The 12th House person is a sort of alien. He feels things more deeply. He feels pain more deeply. Rejection hits him deeper. In that sense, he is living in a world within a world. Music can speak where words fail. Does this song speak to your 12th House reality? It speaks to mine. The Ruler of Another House Residing in the Twelfth —–Does it Indicate Sorrow in the House from which the House Ruler Came? By amiann | Published: February 19, 2012 | I was thinking about this, in terms of my chart. I have Ruler of the 5th in the 12th.I lost a child. The 5th is the House of Children. It’s Ruler travels to the 12th, the House of Sorrow, as was it’s old name. Does anyone have a House Ruler in the 12th House? If so, please tell me from which House it came and what you have experienced. This would apply to people with 12th House planets, only. A lovely woman in one of my Astrology Study Groups allowed me to use her name and to bring you part of her story, related to the Ruler of the 5th House in the 12th House. Gisele Matthews is her name . Here is what she wrote: You know, the ruler of my 5th is in the 12th which is why I chose to never have children.. I did have two abortions when I was in my early 20′s. I had to have them, as I was on heavy medication at the time that would have caused a deformed fetus. And yes, it was very sad. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. this sounds exactly like someone with venus in Aquarius Basic astrology forum, 12th house planets http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000666.html To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology…. if you only ever talk about a planet in a sign you will only ever get 1/3 of the picture. so talking about generics such as a planet is a sign is ONLY taking into account 1/3 of what you should be talking about, the other 2/3 are house and aspects. Personally I would prefer to SEE a chart where planets are posited and how they are aspected for a more full picture rather than seeing just 1/3 of a picture.!!!!

I don't see someone with venus in 12th as *afraid* to express affection at all..It may of course if it's in hard aspect to saturnThey could be prone to secret laisons, but basically are ususally very private about such matters. Probably (depending on how venus is aspected of course) they may not have received enough affection in early childhood and now a 'fear of rejection' mechanism is set up perhaps...? [quote People with Venus in the twelfth house are denied the experience of knowing unconditional love and acceptance from those close to them. http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/dkfoundation/dkfArtTwelfthHouse.htm [/quote] the 12th house planets seem to have an *inner life* First of all it is the house of SOLITUDE. If you have several planets there, (especially the Sun, Moon, Venus, Jupiter or Neptune), you probably crave times alone and enjoy remote ¬environments where you can commune with your inner world. Venus, feelings of peace and love, and an appreciation of beauty which you may channel into artistic pursuits. The hidden weakness of 12th Venus suggests that you may deny your desire for an intimate partner, or relate primarily to fantasy, rather than the person in front of you. Your hidden weaknesses are likely to be excessive ¬self love, vanity, self indulgence, or materialism. If Taurus is in your twelfth house, you could disavow your materialistic ¬tendencies, dogmatism, laziness, or sensuality. If you have Libra here, you avoid facing the compulsions and illusions, which ¬interfere with your personal relationships; your ¬peace at any price attitude, applied to yourself, may prevent you from honestly looking inward. the hidden strength of this placement suggests ---Venus indicates love for yourself, and to initiate activities. You can demonstrate courage and determination as you explore your psyche, and as you battle for yourself or the causes in which you believe Apart from solitude and confinement, your twelfth house planets may suggest that you are oversensitive to public attention, and that you desire to OPERATE BEHIND THE SCENES, QUIETLY EXPRESSING YOURSELF and sustaining yourself without public acknowledgment. ------------------ I love the parable, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, BUT if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.” IP: Logged |

I have Venus in Pisces in the 12th, conjunct my ascendant (Venus-14 degrees, 5 minutes; Ascendant-16 degrees, 30 minutes), so mine is more of a 12th/1st house "blend". I can't always tell if that's "better" or "worse" than a definitive 12th house Venus. Let me illustrate... On more than one occasion (several times, in fact), I've been at places (typically restaurants, but not on a date) where I've received glances (coy ones at first, then as minutes pass, they look more interested, and eventually they rest their chin on the palm of their hand and stare at me). It's as if they're having some imaginary affair with me. An affair never physically consummated, but one that makes use of--presumably, given the intensity of the stare--a vivid imagination. It feels nice to be admired, but since the admiration tends to not get beyond the stare at the restaurant, it feels like an opportunity that teased me.IP: Logged |

I can't deal with this placement, or Venus in the 11th. I'm too misanthropic and jealous in love to tolerate my guy spreading his love hither and thither. It's either all for me or get outta my face!! -Venus in Detriment conjunct Exalted Uranus....two selfish planets

Venus in the 12th, or anything in the 12th house is no joke. This seriously must be the hardest placement there is to deal with. I can't even describe the feeling honestly. I live everyday dealing w/ a feeling of aloneness and feeling misunderstood. I am compassionate but I can't relate to others. People might say I do fine, but I feel very socially awkward. On easy days, which is rare, I feel amazingly connected to others, on other days I usually feel very disconnected. In fact, I don't feel comfortable being around others. I choose to be alone for that reason. I've come to accept myself for who I am, but still, I wish I didn't have it. Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Chiron in the 12th. Tauurs on the 12th house cusp. Sometimes 12th house planets are just desperate to express themselves at the expense of the person suffering them. I used to like this poem when I was a teenager (I still do actually)---If People Disapprove Of You. By Sophie Hannah. Make being disapproved of your hobby. Make being disapproved of your aim. Devise new ways of scoring points In the Being Disapproved Of Game. Let them disapprove in their dozens. Let them disapprove in their hordes. You'll find that being disapproved of Builds character, brings rewards. Just like any form of striving Don't be arrogant; don't coast On your high disapproval rating. Try to be disapproved of most. At this point, if it's useful, Draw a pie chart or a graph. Show it to someone who disapproves. When they disapprove, just laugh. Count the emotions you provoke: Anger, suspicion, shock. One point for each of these And two for each boat you rock. Feel yourself warming to your task - You do it bloody well. A last you've found an area In which you can excel. Savour the thrill of risk without The fear of getting caught. Whether they sulk or scream or pout, Enjoy your new-found sport. Meanwhile all those who disapprove While you are having fun Won't even know your game exists So tell yourself you've won IP: Logged |

I'm sorry that I must be the only person with this aspect that doesn't understand what exactly is so hard about this.I have no issue with expressing emotions and love. I have no issue with commitment. Quite to the contrary, I have a wonderful relationship and love life. True, it was difficult finding someone to my liking, but I have had no problems with having others like me. Regarding being alone, I prefer to be alone most of the time. Besides my wife, everyone else just pi$$es me off. IP: Logged |
