It was my understanding that the vertex moves when you relocate and that it is the relocated vertex that is active and sensitive to transits/synastry.
But even after reading a few articles, i am no closer to figuring this out because the relocation part it vaguely mentioned.

The reason i ask is because my vertex moves a lot from my natal position in the relocation chart. So now instead of my anti-vertex conjuncting my venus, the anti-vertex now conjuncts my mars.

Is it much like the way the angles move in the relocation chart but the natal angles are still the main angles?

Thank you for helping me figure this out

All planets move in a relocations chart, not just vertex and there is no simple easy answer to your enquiries unfortunately..

Your basic natal chart, will always be your blueprint of who you are. Secondary progressions show how you have grown and evolved as a person.

Best way to analyse this is do your own research and See if transits resonate to new Asc, MC and house cusps. It could take a lot of work on your part. but if you have the time, why not give it a go...

very best of luck with your studies. If there is anything else I can help you with please ask

Vertex
"Those who use the Vertex generally feel it is a point of karmic or fated connection. Some consider it a point of "wish fulfillment". It is perhaps most widely used in synastry. The Vertex is said to be activated at major turning points in our lives, most notably when we meet a significant other or end a significant relationship, and some believe it is triggered when there is a birth or death" http://www.cafeastrology.com/vertex.html http://www.falconastrology.com/vertex.htm
