How did you arrive at Jupiter in Aries as an alternate? Sorry I removed the chart but I can put it back up if you need to see it. Many thanks IP: Logged |

Back in the day before Neptune was discovered, Jupiter was the ruler of both Sagittarius and Pisces. Modern astrology uses Neptune as the primary ruler of Pisces, but you can still consider Jupiter a ruler if you want.IP: Logged |

Modern astrologers only use neptune as ruler of pisces. Whilst Traditional astrologers will use Jupiter. It's not a good idea, espec for beginning to mix and match like this.. The main differences with Modern and Trads, is that they don't use the outers, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.... IP: Logged |

House meanings thread http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/212349.html Ruler of the First House in the Ninth House "You have a strong interest in broadening your mental experiences, perhaps through higher education, exploring different philosophies of life, or even through developing your own ideas about what makes the universe tick. Be ready to do some long distance traveling during your life. It's in the stars." http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm#hr1 You can get an immediate chart interpretation from astro.com. From ‘free horoscopes tab look for free 'personal portrait' or ‘astroclick portrait’ interpretation of a natal chart in the free horoscope section, you simply put the cursor on a planet and it brings a pop up box to explain what it means to have a planet in that house and any other aspects it has to natal planets. plus a six month free transit report in 'short report' Robert Hand gives a valuable in depth explanation of transits here – only slight objection I have with astro, is they use orbs of upto maybe 10' approaching, exact and departing. So most transits seem very long in effect. I use more realistic orbs of 1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing. http://www.khaldea.com/ephemcenter.shtml Basic astrology forum, Which charts to use and when http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000682.html Basic astrology forum, All About Moons http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000681.html Basic astrology forum, Learn the basics, Free courses + House systems. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000671.html To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology…. your Jupiter is a singleton ie: only planet in fire element. Mercury is retrogradeBasic astrology forum, retrogrades,Unaspected & Singletons http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Basic+Astrology&number=12&DaysPrune= To enter this forum you need an extra password – astrology…. With pisces they are sooo impressionable, easily manipulated and make lots of sacrifices trying to please family to much I really recommend the above thread as excelent and you should identify IF your TOB is correct of course.. Quoting you, Saggi MCMercury Retrograde * reconsiders before speaking * lots of inner conversation and thoughts * expresses self better in writing * feels misunderstood "If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. "
So, my Jupiter in House 2 in Aries is powerful. Jupiter expands and inflates the quality of the sign it is in and the house it rules, as well as the one in which it is posited. The 2nd House is the focus of wealth and possessions. A singleton Jupiter in 2nd House makes me an overly-materialistic, insanely ambitious, money-faced ego-maniac! IP: Logged |

Regarding ASC in Pisces, I'm just going to quote Lion_o_ness. She comes up with all the wisdom and it is precisely what I would have to say.
quote: As a child (an only child) I just wanted to be left alone.. I was extremely shy and I avoided people.. I spent most of my childhood alone and in my room. I did most of the stuff for myself..
Note: I was the only child for the frst 12 years of my life. My parents had another son because they pretty much gave up hope on me. quote: IT didnt really bother me though, I liked the solitude and no one bothering me.... I was very independent.
quote: Deep down inside I feel abandoned by family, friends.. The world... When ever I need something or help.. No one is available. I have to do everything for myself... It bugs me because everyone comes to me for something and Im there, but when I go to them I get nothing back..
quote: Ive always felt like the world is against me. But I fight back.. I dont let any one knock me down... Nothing can break me.
quote: I dont really only see the good in people.. Im not very trusting in people, but I have my reasons why... It takes me years to trust someone...
quote: I do feel the need to help people, and do when ever possible.. I usually drop what ever I am doing to go and help someone... That ask.. Even minor things such as a ride or advice.. What ever they ask...
quote: I just wish I had someone to turn to in a time of need.. We all need it, but its never available to me.. Im left alone to figure it all out.. Sometimes it just bothers me soooooo much I disconnect my self from everyone... I avoid and wont have any contact with them...
quote: I live like a loner (with the exception of my kids) and, in my case, includes my wife
Lioness, I know you are a Pisces ASC and I am guessing that you are this Lion_o_Ness on astrologyweekly. I am enthralled! IP: Logged |

Yes, chart ruler and where it's placed should be a major focus for you. doesn't matter if it only has one aspect or multi aspected. Unless of course you have a stellium of planets in another house and this may well trump over chart ruler. If you want to learn about astrology, here are some links. If not feel free to ignore. How to post your chart… http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc.c gi?action=getannounce&ForumNumber=11&Start=2455736.99&End=2459389&Session=

Just for the sake of completeness you were NOT quoting my words ie: copyright belongs to http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/retrogradeplanets.htm#neprx as quoted in that thread and various others. However, my threads on planets in houses like, pluto, neptune, uranus and saturn ARE my copyright quote:
Second House The second house deals with the physical plane of existence with regards to what you have in the material sense. Money, money you earn, debts, and possessions, especially those you value highly. It is also your value system in general and your personal feelings of self worth. In other words, what you can allow yourself to have, based on what you feel you deserve. For example; are life options few because of lack of cash? Do you spend every penny you have and then some because you don't really feel you deserve to have money? Attitudes pro and con about money and material goodies are found here. This is the house of liberty. This refers to the liberty and options in life that having a secure financial picture produces. The second house corresponds to Taurus and so any planets in this house function with some underlying Taurus style. Additionally, the second house, also represents our personal likes or dislikes, deep emotions and attachments. http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houses.htm
Second house is not just about how you earn your money and spend it, but also your personal values and beliefs, self esteem and self worth. So with jupiter here I would expect quite high self esteem and quite possibly some luck in these matters? ------------------ I love the parable, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, BUT if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.”

My 2nd House Jupiter is in Aries. It's ruler is Mars in the 11th House in Capricorn. I work extremely hard for my successband my self-esteem is intricately tied to my career. That drives my perception of self worth. It all motivates me to succeed, which ultimately drives the material gains. I'm motivated by the success a lot more than the money per se, but I need the money to provide the best for my family. My wife likes nice things. It keeps her happy. I'm more driven by good deeds, self satisfction and and recognition. IP: Logged |
