i had saturn square venus in synastry, i was saturn she was venus, plus alot of other saturn stuff, basically there was alot of love between us and had amazing connection, but continuing the relationship was impossible because of the long distance, venus square saturn is called the romeo and juliet aspect XD, but i wouldnt say its impossible to have a relationship with it, it just depends on the rest of the aspects. I don't know how old you are, but i found that people with these aspects, being in natal or synastry, later in life are better equipped to carry on a relation ship. It is harder on them when they are young. The romantic courtship and couple forming seems to meet all kind of roadblocks.IP: Logged |

Honestly, hard Saturn aspects are really painful. And they usually make the connection/relationship end in an even more painful way.Now when I see hard Saturn aspects in synastry all I want to do is run for the hills. Maybe oppositions are a bit easier than say, squares, but I think they're still quite difficult. There is just so much insecurity and fear that it would take *very* mature people to handle the energy in an adequate manner. Sometimes circumstances get in the way while the two people want to get closer, but in any case, such aspects aren't going to be easy. So good luck! IP: Logged |

I feel your pain I have been Venus twice in a Venus-Saturn opposition. Both at 3 degrees. And it was very painful because the love is very very deep, especially if you spend a lot of time together. The fear and insecurity is certainly there. I am still trying for the relationship with the second person, and there seem to be less roadblocks, but its the first man that truly has my heart and that one that may never be http://sasstrology.com/2010/08/rethinking-venussaturn-in-synastry.html That article is very informative, and rather positive so perhaps there is hope. I am also wondering what degree orbs are your Venus-Saturn opposition at? And have either of you been through your Saturn return?

All depends on other aspects and how THEY come into play. for a relationship to get off the ground Ascendants, physical attraction and lust play a part, more than anything else.. IP: Logged |
