Would an Unaspected Moon Be Able to Blast Someone?
By amiann | Published: February 26, 2012 |

This is a good question as one tries to plumb the depth of Unaspected Planets. Oneself, one’s friends, one’s study groups and especially the doing of charts is the laboratory. With that being said, I want to talk about the Unaspected Moon. I know two natives, to whom I will show this article. Perhaps, they will comment. They know better than anyone. However, per the nature of an Unaspected Planet, it may be buried to the person. Back to my question. Would an Unaspected Moon be able to blast someone? I ask this as I ponder the nature of an Unaspected Moon and, more particularly, the validity of the concept of a Semi-Unaspected Moon. I ponder this from trying to get behind the eyes of an Unaspected Planet. For me, I understand Astrology and each placement, purely, by getting behind it’s eyes. Until I do, it is, simply, head knowledge . Head knowledge is needed. However, it does not allow one to be fluid with a subject. Fluidity makes creativity, in my experience. At any rate, I have been pondering if an Unaspected Moon could blast someone. I would have to go back a few steps and explain an Unaspected Planet and the concept of Anger, astrologically.

An Unaspected Planet has no parents. Aspects are parents. Aspects link planets to each other. Hence, an Unaspected Planet is flying solo, in what the planet represents. I will list what each planet represents with a keyword or two.
Sun—-Identity, Sense of Self, Ego Strength

Moon–Emotional Nature ,Deepest Feelings, Deepest Heart

Venus–What one Finds Beautiful, How one Loves

Mars–Any Drives, Passions, Aggression, Assertion

Saturn–Restriction, Patience, Slow Working to a Long term Goal

Jupiter–Optimism, Expansion, Joy, Good Vibrations, Luck

Neptune–Makes Reality Hard to See, Lives in the Next Dimension of Creativity and Mysticism

Uranus–Rebellion,Being Out of the Box
The Moon is one’s feelings, if one wants to put it in one sentence. It is one’s inner child. Picture a child. His emotions become him. He does not smile with his lips and constrict his body with rage, at the same time. Picture a dog. A dog does not wag his tail and growl, at the same time. He is one, organic whole. Such is the case with the moon.It is our feelings. Hence, what relationship does an Unaspected Moon have to his feeling? He has no aspects. He has no linkages with other planets. What is the nature of his emotions? How does he feel his emotions? Consequently, how does he communicate his feelings? With that as a kind of background to my question, I come to my question. I postulate that an Unaspected Moon would not be able to blast someone. However,it would not be that simple, as an Unaspected Planet is buried,by the nature of it. Hence, it can both under do and over do, in the nature of it. The Unaspected Moon person may be overemotional or unemotional. His task is to be a genius in the realm of feelings.Quite a formidable task. However, it is his. This leads me back to my question and I will attempt to answer it, before I fast forward this to my Unaspected Moon friends. I think an Unaspected Moon would either blast someone off the face of the earth or be frozen. As to a Semi-Unaspected Moon, I wonder about the validity of Semi-Unaspected Planets. One aspect( other than a minor one) would provide a linkage. A linkage is not feral, by it’s nature.I left out an important part of the issue: anger. Mars is anger, astrologically. Mars is any drive from sexual passion to rage. My original question was brought up by a person who has a Semi Unaspected Moon and blasted someone. That person was myself, as this article may make no sense without that piece of info. I have a Moon/Mars conjunction at 9 degrees and a Moon/Saturn trine at 8 degrees.

Lol, remember that we are on different time zones
I'm not sure what "blasting" means. Is it a big display of anger?

I guess my question to you is "How do you get angry? What does it look like, if you Moon does not touch any planets. The planets are all the different parts of you. Your emotions would seem as if they are in a vacumn and cannot touch anything. With anger, how would you get angry if you had no access to Mars?

Oh, then yes, definitely. Remember, all the energy is repressed, but that does not mean it isn't there. Only that the native is unaware of these emotions or perhaps chooses to ignore them.
I can count the number of *big* anger displays on the fingers of one hand. But they were big. As you know, my moon is in Taurus, and it is said of Taurus people that they are slow to anger, but you'd better watch out when they do. I call this energy "demolish the house" energy

In day to day life, I am really calm. One of my long time friends once annoyed me to the point where I raised my voice, almost yelling and we both paused, he asked: "what... are you doing?". People are often surprised when I display anger, because I come across as really calm and "together" (which is not the case, as my stellium in Aries confirms; I think the impression they get might have something to do with Saturn on the asc and Pluto in the 1st. It is however just a mask).

I think there is one more aspect to consider: progressed planets. My Aries stellium eventually progressed and conjuncted my Moon. In the progressed chart, I now have a stellium in Taurus... that might be one way for the planets to communicate.

I have worked a lot. I think that I am more aware of what I am feeling than most people. It's more an ability to turn off the emotions, contain them if you want. That's why I was talking about a choice when it comes to emotions. I think most people don't have one because they get carried away by emotion and act without knowing why. In most of the cases, I can deconstruct an emotion and look at it form a rational point of view (SN Aqua; the chart is an intricate puzzle )

I must be doomed.

I have an unaspected Moon (the trine to Pluto is a tad over 8 degrees, and for me 8 degree orb usually is too wide) AND I have Mars in 12th house conjunct Neptune on the ASC.

What am I to do?

Having said that, I agree with you, anger IS an issue, or to be more honest expressing anger in a healthy way.

For many years during my childhood and youth and young adult days, I was not even really repressing my anger, I was simply NOT feeling it.
Like I would not even get upset if "friends" walked all over me, thinking they might have had their "reasons" and that I should "understand".

*snorts* These days are gone, for the most part!

Of course I WAS angry, I simply repressed the feeling of that anger. It expressed itself in autoaggressive behaviour (Mars as ruler of IC in 12th house conjunct Neptune and ASC can develop such a tendency).

Forms of autoaggressive behaviour is of course my overeating (which I still do not have a reliable firm grasp on at all times, though I am doing better). Eating disorders are such a MOON-thing.
Plus it doesn`t help that I have CERES (also connected to eating, nurturing) conjunct expansive Jupiter in limitless Pisces squaring Neptune (and said Mars, though the square to Mars is wide with 4 degrees).

Moon is in the 2nd house, and whatever is in the second house, somehow gets stuck on your physicality, it is the house of collecting. So I am gathering emotions (and food) and we all know how easy fixed signs / houses let go of things. NOT.
Well, my Moon is in a fixed sign (Aquarius) AND house (2nd house).

I also have had iron deficiency for many many years, but two years ago it got so bad, that I finally sought treatment (it had dropped to a low that would have me hospitalized before long). I did not only swallow this yucky brew (I still have that nasty taste in my throat, in my imagination it tasted like blood; though of course I have never consumed blood. lol), but even more important than this I started expressing my annoyance and anger more quickly.
And I realized that to get a reliable access to my emotions and be sure that it is really a FEELING and not a THOUGHT that masks itself as a feeling (it is difficult to explain, probably an Aqua-Moon-thing.), anyway to get a reliable access to my feelings, it is very wise to listen to my physical reactions, my body. It tells me EXACTLY what I am really feeling with its reactions to certain things, people, environments, thoughts.
If I LIKE what I feel is a totally different matter.

Well, listening to my body, makes probably sense in respect to my chart, as this unaspected Mars, ruler of the lunar 4th house, is conjunct the ASC, signifying my physicality.

I am extremely emotional, sentimental, even mushy; just today I was crying in front of TV,w hen I saw how a school-choir was being invited to perform at last year`s oscars, and to see the incredulous joy and amazement on the children`s faces; if I see someone experiencing such unexpected pure joy, I start crying because it is so beautiful and touches me so deep.

On the other hand I can be horribly detached (or at least seem so) and overanalyze just everything.

THAT is my unaspected Moon for me.
Too much or too little - but somehow never the right dosis.

What, luminaries get 10' each so for me it's not unaspected... simples

this can be a contentious issue like house systems and vary quite a lot.

I use, 10' for sun/moon
8' + or - for hard aspects, conj,square,opp
6' + or - for trine easy aspects 120' and sextile 60'
3' + or - for quincunx

In natal charts, usually accepted orbs (exactness of aspect) are 9 to 10 degrees for oppositions and conjunctions, 7 to 8 degrees for trines and squares, 4 to 5 degrees for sextiles, 2 degrees for quincunxes and sesqui-squares, around 1 degree for semi-sextiles and semi-squares, and often 0.5 to 1 degree for quintiles and their family (semi-quintiles and bi-quintiles). http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology_aspects.php

absolutely, something at some point will activate your moonm, if not a progression then a solar arc or transit.

all the energy is repressed,

I would say 'disconnected in the psyche' ratther than repressed, only because planets that are unaspectd can go ALL out to feel things and stay longer in emotional situations to really feel the emotion..

Saggi MC,

like you said, orbs are a source of an ongoing debate (like housesystems). I disagree with using a 10 degree orb, even for luminaries.

Hamaker-Zondag and Noel Tyl for example suggest an orb of 6 degree, as Roscher and Weidner and Robert Hand do as well.

There certainly are others who are suggesting a bigger orb; I suppose Liz Greene uses wider orbs.

Well, I have been talking about that before as well.

It was a great breakthrough emotionally when I realized that "theme" in my behavioural pattern some years ago, yes, definitely.

I still trying to "pick" my fights, and I am not expressing annoyance or anger in an immediate or impulsive way; I guess it is leaking out in my tone or choice of words sometimes though.
But you can be certain that if I am expressing annoyance or anger clearly, that I have been thinking before IF and HOW I should do it, and if it will be any good or will make things only worse and if it`s worth it.
Well, as long as I am arguing, it means I still care on some level.
But even if I am not arguing, because I for some reason did not deem the issue worth it, nowadays I FEEL the annoyance at least, and know what is going on within me.

I never put it together with the Unaspected Moon so could not conceptualize it. The Unaspected Moon is the hardest of the Unaspected planets--bar none.In my opinion. Have you read everything I wrote on the Unaspected Moon? I don't know what I put on or not

Basic Basic Astrology—What is the Moon?
By amiann | Published: February 26, 2012 |

The Moon is your feelings. If you are out of touch with your feelings, you are out of touch with your moon. Your Moon Sign shows how you process your feelings. Are you a Chessnut Tree or an Oak Tree? Are you a flowering bush or a prickly one? One cannot help which type of tree one is. However, one can try to get in touch with one’s Moon, as it is one’s inner child. If one shoos him away, one will lose childlike wonder. One will lose childlike innocence. One will lose belly laughter. Last but not least, one falls in loves: child to child. Let your child out.

I had the biggest A-ha experience Ceri and Maira.

I don't know why I did not put 2 and 2 together. You will be able to be a genius with your emotions--a genius in feeling. The upshot of the Unaspected Moon is an UBER feeler.

That goes for me, too
My Moon/Mars conj is 9 degrees
Mu Saturn /Moon trine is 8 degrees.
My Moon is unaspected according to IQ. He is my role model as an AStrologer--bar none

Firstly I have my moon in mutual reception to Jupiter in Cancer. Which means sometimes means my moon acts like a cancer moon even if it's in saggie.

I have no problem in accessing my emotions, I have the opposite problem, I wish I could stop feeling/being so sensitive, since I'm hypersensitive and I get my feelings hurt really easily. Having a Pisces Sun/12H Pluto chart ruler doesn't help much since I the ego(sun) and how I present(12h chart ruler) am hardwired for that.

With anger it all gets directed through a semisextile to Pluto(sco) and Saturn(cap). Even if minor aspect are not counted, hence the unaspected moon, the minor aspect become far more important in the attempted integration of emotions.

I had Pluto transit my moon at 13-15 years of age. So my moon had enough practice taking to Pluto that in can in some small way through the semisextile. I'm guessing that Saturn may do something like that when it goes though Sag in a few years.

I get angry through Pluto (which is sextile to mars/saturn/venus in cap). Either way the feeling get repressed.

Your explanation reminds me very much of my mercury retrograde. It went direct age 19 and boy did I come out of my shell, bigtime. But before that and still now, I try to think before speaking. I hate arguements and find it doesn't trip off my tongue as easily as with someone who has mars/mercury or mercury/uranus (typical argumentative aspects)

Having said this if someone has upset me it *always has to go inside* to be analysied and internalised before I can express it. But boy once I have had chance to respond, it could come out as mercury/pluto
my mercury is conj venus and trine to jupiter.
