I've never really gotten a full grasp of my sextiles.
So I was wondering if you guys could tell me how they work for you and what they are?
Do you feel its something within your reach that you can call upon? Stories?

I call sextiles *opportunity aspects* if you see, feelthe energies and can find some energy/impetus to act

ALL aspects are describing *FACETS* of your personality. they break them down by compartmentalising them, while you learn and identify with them...

I have mars sextile mars,so it's an 'easy aspect' like a trine. So energy/mars and emotions/moon are in accord and come accross as described below..

"Moon sextile Mars
The sextile aspect of the Moon with Mars gives the emotional force necessary to win many battles. Any tendency to argue and flare up on occasion is kept under control, and you aren't a person apt to have difficulties with people. It does make you an energetic person, and one who has an infectious and personable manner. You respond to people eagerly, and your enthusiasm stimulates them to respond to you as well. While impulsive by nature, you have due respect for the feelings of others. Even when you do lose control of your temper, you are not one to hold a grudge. You simply work out your differences, and proceed." http://www.skyscript.co.uk/moonaspects.html#moxma

Hope this helps?

are these major aspects? i thot all blue lines were major ryt but i was doing my dominants from the quiz over at skywalker and they didn't include sextiles..

anyway..

Jupiter sextile Saturn
The sextile formed between Jupiter and Saturn shows the good business attributes of caution, prudence, and good organization, combined with optimism, enthusiasm, and expansion. You are thus able to carry through plans and fulfill your obligations, earning respect in your business or profession. You are respected for your honesty and integrity.

My chart is almost nothing but sextiles, some tight, some out of orb. I have a loose Grand Sextile with Aries Jupiter, Gemini Mars, Leo Saturn, Libra Pluto, Sag Venus and Neptune, Aquarius Mercury.

But the only real aspects are Mars sextile Jupiter (exact) and Mercury sextile Venus (1 degree orb).

I can feel how these have blessed me in many ways, but it's true that the abilities they give me are not always "on." It's frustrating when I can't get them to work!

sextiles are considered major aspects...

that's why sextiles are called EASY aspects, as they lack energy and impetus of the square. so if you have a square coming from either planet, it may well put some 'energy' into working with the energy..

Exactly what is the orb for a sextile in natal/synastry/composite?

I read that Natal is (5degs), Synastry (2degs), and Composite (5degs)..?
