I have Moon in Aquarius and I DETEST rhetorical questions from the bottom of my heart. I really HATE it if someone poses a question, in which I am forced to answer a certain way. It always triggers the urge in me to vehemently dissent, even if I basically have a similiar opinion. But rhetorical questions feel almost disrespectful of my mental capacity to me or limiting my choice of answer, while posing as an open question, which they are not, obviously (otherwise they wouldN´t be rhetorical). Does anyone else with Aquarian energy (or without) feel like that?

Rhetorical questions doesn't require answer. So,Mercurians,scorps/plutonians could butt heads at these type of situations.Uranian/Aquas are also in the search for answers,so I suppose it is hard for them as well. IP: Logged |

Well, I can only talk for myself, and for me it is hard. I haven`t noticed the same in Aquarian-Suns though. They seem pretty indifferent to that. IP: Logged |

Aren't they just irritating? Very sorry. Just trying to inject levity. IP: Logged |

I'm with Venus. Rhetorical q's do not require an answer. It's like "philosophizing". Perhaps you mean something else. I'm an Aqua rising with MArs in Aqua trining my Uranus in the 8th, and a packed 8th house with Pluto in the 8th. I love to dissect. But I also have no issues with rhetorical q's. Not sure if that helps at all. IP: Logged |

Yes, you`re right. Actually I was rather talking about suggestive questions. Doesn`t matter. Still can`t stand this kind of questions. IP: Logged |

For example, the phrasing "Don't you think this was wrong?" is more suggestive than "Do you think this was wrong?" despite the difference of only one word. The former may subtly pressure the respondent into responding "yes," whereas the latter is far more direct" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suggestive_question Doesn`t matter. Sorry, pushed the wrong button.

Oh, I get what you mean. I meant to ask myself earlier (I've had very little sleep).I think it would only bother me if they kept pushing, or I was already in a bad mood. I don't like being put on the spot. IP: Logged |

Oh yes, that's annoying! Most of the times it's an indirect way of asking for your approval or support. Of course if you don't agree, you have to refuse to cooperate with the suggestion. Quite sneaky definitely. IP: Logged |

Actually, there's something that bugs me about people who seem to want to be Aquarian rebels - they have this thing about standing out, being different, wild, rebellious, trouble - which I find to be stupid and boring, for the most part. I've been open-minded and done my best not to judge, but these people will sit there and tell me that I'm a prude, unconscious (and proceed to tell me to "wake up", to which I retort that I'm wide awake), but that they have a lot of hope for me. Condescending, pretentious, and deciding what's best for everyone else, all whilst saying that being free is the best thing ever, and that people should be themselves... at least, when they're just like them.IP: Logged |

Now when Aquarius know a subject, they know that subject inside out and upside down and talk with authority on that subject. they want logical debates, rather than having to inject emotions like water types. Of course it IS a fixed signs and really don't like making changes for changes sake, there has to be a point to it. (like all fixed signs actually) ------------------ I love the parable, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, BUT if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.” IP: Logged |

I can't stand when people ask a question they know the answer or like you are a child. Like I know people who do this, they come in the house I'm sitting eating and they ask me what I'm doing casually and non sarcastically...... O_O I'M NOT ANSWERING THAT! Then they are like ugh fine and offended. Really? Those instantly put me in a bad mood.IP: Logged |

I realized once I walked away, that this was the type of question I chimed in on a few weeks ago, where you were concerned. I had meant to add that I didn't expect you to say anything, I was just amused (and a little sad) over my wondering the same thing as another poster. I think it's natural to think, though, if someone mentions something that could be attributed to you, you like the person, and you worry that they're just being polite when dealing with you.If I'm putting someone on the spot, I will admit it. If I'm working up the courage to ask something, and have finally got myself there, I'll admit that, too, with a "just tell me whilst I'm asking" type of statement. IP: Logged |

Yes! I couldn't believe it when this guy told me that he had real hope for me, that I had real potential to wake up (and become a sheep in his world). The one guy had a lot of harsh Uramus aspects. It just bugged me when he kept telling me to "wake up". I'm not nearly as polite as I used to be, and I ended up telling him to sod off, because of other, more personal things. IP: Logged |

Oh, and I wasn't saying that about Aquarians - it was in regards to people actually needing to be different, and telling me I should be, too. I know that when I've been in that head space, when I was younger, I thought I'd stumbled across the "right way" but I was also scared and defensive - hence my usual politeness with most people.IP: Logged |
