If everyone thinks 12--we can take it out of the running as to me, the answer would be 12 for any planet.

After that, I would say 5 would be the hardest as my self expression, fun and creativity have always carried me through when outside experiences stung me.

to me it would be saturn in the first cause it restricts the personality and might make it harder for amazing people to show their light to the world (coming from a cap rising )

also i heard that planets in the first house (especially conj ASC) can actually effect every area in your life so saturn can hit a lot of areas with this placement

the moment i saw your question i was reminded of the article you wrote on cap ASC and it lead me to choose saturn in 1st as the hardest placement

Saturn in 1st/4th/5th.

I relate the houses to their correspondingly signs, though it is not EXACTLY the same, but it has a similiar vibe most of the time. We can argue about 1st and 5th house later.

Well, Saturn in 1st would resonate with Aries, and would be in fall, though accidentally dignified (as it is in a cardinal house it would get MUCH attention, being a very central theme).

Saturn in 4th would resonate with Cancer - and Saturn is in detriment in Cancer, though again accidentally dignified.

Saturn in 5th wold resonate with Leo and would be in detriment.

^Ceridwen's answer makes good sense.

I have it in the 12th and some astrologers say, it actually gives strength there, preventing depression.

I have Saturn in the 10th in Scorpio and it REALLY sucks! It does not matter how hard I work, how honest I am, eventually everything that I earn is taken from me. Then I have to start all over again... It doesn't help that Saturn is also my chart ruler.

I would call it as Saturn in 2nd House. Nobody likes to lead a life of poverty or financial mishap.

do u think a h2 saturn is more aware of their plight? i mean wealth is relative, some people do not know they are poor or middle class etc because that is all they see and know.. probably harder to do today with everyone being interconnected and all.. but i'd think it is still possible.

i haven't read about this placement tho so just wondering..

I have been blessed materially since I was a child. I do not feel comfortable in the material world as I am an earth void. This could be the Saturn here.I feel like earth bound things are hard like organization etc

I think saturn in the 4th is the hardest. That's just based on what my values are.

I think saturn in house 1 conj AC seems to be hardest because my personality is an big part of me .... If I not could express my personality like I do I think I must put so much focus on that. Ive so much interesting subject in my life and will put my energy on that. Im glad Ive AC conj Sun.

I think saturn work out very well in the karmic house 12. Karma meeting karma....

either the 8th house or 12th, but saturn is hard anywhere, but having said that what could possibly be harder than saturn ,the planet of karma, in the twelfth, the house of karma, add them both together and it can cause some pretty unpleasant things, i have this and also it conjuncts the sun and the north node exact,i always have felt heavy even as a child, alot of worries, depression, and self doubt, and having no idea why, always feeling that life is completely out of my control.

Having Saturn in the 5th, 6th, or 8th seems like it would be a pain in the ass imo

(Coming from someone with Saturn in the 4th)

yea its heavy stuff, not saying that any other placement is easy ,its just atleast in other houses you have an awareness of the problem,in the twelfth you dont get that, all the self doubt and depression and feeling helpless is hard to deal with if you dont know where it began in the first place

Saturn in any house makes you more serious in that area of life and makes you strive harder to succeed. Success in that area will take time but Saturn will make it worth your while. I know a guy with Saturn (and Uranus) in the 2nd and he's very serious about his finances. He already had his 401k set up by age 22 lol.

I don't mind Saturn. Saturn gives me the grounding I need, as someone with very little earth in my chart.

7th house. Only reason I say that is because in this day and age it's difficult for me to find someone who takes relationships, or feels at the depth I do. I think Saturn in the 7th adds to feeling as well even if that's usually attributed to the moon. Well, my moon is also TRINE my Saturn so perhaps that's why I think that.
