Has anyone ever given a clear definition of Love. I can't work on abstract concepts, I need something solid with a foundation. I am not knocking those who love because I claim to 1ove others but what does that word really mean? IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, Love is an abstract concept. It can never be concrete - you can't touch it, see it, hear it, smell it or taste it.In astrology, it is my belief that ALL the planets are a manifestation of love when they operate at their highest vibration . Love is that which you give of yourself unconditionally for the benefit of someone else without expectation of return. Sun - to love consciously and purposely, to share your sense of personal identity.
Moon - to love by forging an emotional connection, supporting and caring.
Mercury - to love through communication and sharing of ideas and thoughts
Venus - to love through sensuality and giving pleasure to another
Mars - to love through taking action and taking initiative
Jupiter - to love through expanding horizons, postive encouragement and generousity of spirit
Saturn - to love through working through difficulties and sticking it out
Uranus - to love through being inventive, unusual and uniquely you
Neptune - to love through merging with another and sharing in universal oneness
Pluto - to love through sharing passion, depth and experiences that lead to transformation and growth. These are just brief examples of how love through the functioning of the symbolism inherent in the planets can operate, however once you get to understand the planets more and more you will discover other dimensions too. Yes, I know that theory, fascinating.Actually I once had made a categorization system to apply this theory to synastric links.
In the very least it was interesting.
Also tried to combine that with the "love styles" Eros, Mania, Agape, Storge, Ludus and Pragma.
