i've always been understanding and kind to her and she appreciates that (has told me without actually saying it). nonetheless my head is trying to convince me there will be even more pain and suffering if i don't walk away now (it's been several years). i mentioned up thread it has taken 'quite a bit of my strength' but actually it has taken much of my strength and that's exactly why something has to change. rather sooner than later.
