They say that the divorce rate in general in America is 50%. Actually, the divorce rate among couples who lose one child is 90%. We have lost two children.

She is the one who gave her right kidney the first time around. Whether their own flesh and blood or not, most folks would have checked out of the hotel and walked. She stayed.

I was successful as a young man and had hit a net worth of a million by myself by 30 years old. By 32 years old, as I had to take care of Mitchell's medical issues, my total liability was in excess of $3 million. I was forced to declare bankruptcy. We lost our very beautiful house. We lost three beautiful new cars, autos which newly wed couples would not ordinarily drive.

In front of the judge, my wife sneered. At the proceedings, in front of the judge and the lawyers for the hospital, she took off her gold watch and her wedding diamond rings. I took mine off. She said, take this and shove it. You can't put a price tag on my son's life and you can't take him away.

And when we get ourselves back financially, we'll have a house ten times larger, diamonds ten times the size and cars ten times nicer. Well, that hasn't happenned, but at least we are better off then before.

For a year, we lived in a cramped one bedroom apartment and drove a $500 car that veered right when we steered left. That was after driving $75,000 cars. But no matter. In another year, we were back in full force.

She backed up my career and struggles. Over the years, I lost my job six times. Never a peep of complaint. She is as comfortable wearing clothes off the rack from Goodwill and shoes from Pay Less as she is comfortable wearing Christain Lacroix and Christian Louboutins. She is as comfortable wearing costume jewelry from the alley in Chinatown as she is wearing jewelry from Cartier and Van Cleef. She was alright wearing a Timex watch after I went bankrupt as she did wearing a gold Rolex Lady President, and now she has a couple.

She was the one who did dialysis on Mitchell when he was a baby. She stayed out with him in Palo Alto California by herself cramped into the Ronald McDonald House for one year while I worked in New York City to provide insurance and money.

As crazy as it sounds, I commuted from New York to San Francisco every weekend, leaving New York in the afternoon on a Friday, working through Sunday evening, and getting off the plane on the redeye and going straight to work on a Monday morning. Every weekend without fail. For almost 45 weekends. The phone company loved me for sure.

And yet, my contribution was nothing. She taught herself everything there was to learn about medicine, studying directly from the doctors at Stanford. She learned everything she needed to know about kidney dialysis, cardiac intervention, inserting IVs, following sterile procedure etc. She pracically ran a hospital in her little room. Yet, she would never eat. She would never take a bath unnecessarily because her baby may need emergency care at anytime. Imagine sticking your own baby with needles, with multiple injections daily. Imagine fishing around for a vein withIV needle in your own baby's hand. Yet, she managed to do three loads of laundry a day to take care of a sick baby. And when I arrived on Friday evenings, I would find her famished and wiped out from exhaustion, and she would sleep for 24 hours. I don't know how she did that.

My job has been nothing compared to hers. That is why she has my full respect. When it comes to affairs outside of money making and money retaining, she not only has full authority, she has absolute veto power.

Elsewhere I see guys who are afraid to put their wives' photo on fb, afraid to be linked to the mother of his children.. afraid to talk more about her. I even know one who will delete or remove any photos that tag his wife/photo to his page.. I dun care how wealthy or fanciful a title he holds in his career, to me, that is crap and there is no explanations I can accept.

I do see indications of his problems in his chart with current transits. He has t. Pluto opposite moon, which is the ruler of his 9th house -- 9th house rules the liver. Moon is also the ruler of the stomach, so that can be showing the C.Diff -- bad bacteria colonizing the stomach can cause this likely due to antibiotics or some other drug he's taking. Anyway, t.Pluto is on his jupiter, which rules the liver. Pluto tends to destroy and transform whatever it touches, so there you have it.

He just had the new moon in his 4th house, which is a health house. The upcoming full moon on April 6th will be on his NN and chiron (wounding/healing) in his 11th house of hopes, wishes, and other people. I'm wondering....are you looking for a donor? Maybe not a live donor? Because with the full moon there and t. Jupiter approaching the 7th house of others, I do wonder if he will have a benevolent or even deceased liver donor for transplant. I do hope that's the case.

Yes, Mitchell has been placed on the National Donor Waiting List. It can take a while because he can use a liver, a kidney and bone marrow.

Ideally, they would have to find a donor in a teenager whodid not abuse his/her body. In order for the organs to be intact, the teenager would need to have passed from something like traumatic brain injury and certainly not something like a car accident.

Even then, the donor liver would probably have to be split, with the smaller left liver lobe going to a baby in need.

Naturally, there has to be a close genetic match, and that is no easy feat.

It'll take a while for this to occur, and because Mitchell is not severely ill, he'll stand behind others who have a more dire need. If this were to occur, I anticipate waiting for two years.

The medical team would make a determination whether a cadaver transplant would be viable. Of course, cadaver organs would simplify the process and eliminate the risk to the parents and make surgery easier. However, the probability of success over the long run is also probably lower. Uts a delicate balance between those two factors.

More gemane, perhaps you can restore faith in select women about men in general. Some see only the worst in a few and assume the worst in everybody.

One of them (I think you know who) constantly accused me of coming to LL to prey on younger women half my age, showing affection through words with the hope that my ugly self would eventually land some form of online emotional relationship. She even explicitly said that a proper married man would never flock to a forum with lots of women.

If it was mentioned once, I would have laughed it off. Her taunting was persistent and repeatitive. And yet, as sharp mouthed as I am, I never fired back until cornered, and then I went for her throat aggressively, for which I was admonished.

I do think there are 5-10% of men who are dogs. In these few cases, they do actually harass woman. In the rest of the perceived threats, the woman are Man haters and they see dogs behind every corner. If they are not Man haters, they have had trauma from a man and have a psychological issue based on their LIMITED experience. One cannot draw broad conclusions about men from one person's trauma.

Man Hating personally offends me.I think it is as insensitive as racial or ethnic slur. *I* am offended and I am not a man. Good point that you bring up Ian. You have every right to be offended. You are the true picture of a gentlemen as is Randall and Jwhop. Now, I feel I need to add the rest of my LL buddies such as Aquaguy, Mblake and the many other men I love.Forgive me, the list will be too long. This is MY 2 cents, anyway. Love you Ian x o x o x

PS For the woman who have actually been raped, had actual sexual harassment such that her job was threatened if she did not sleep with someone, or have been sexually abused as children or adults, my heart goes out to you.I do not classify you as a Man Hater. I was molested by my mother so understand legitimate sexual abuse very well.
