Can progressions point to attraction even though the synastry is weak?

And if so, what happens when the progressed planets stop aspecting each other? Does the attraction fade out?

A lot of times there are conjunctions that take place between someone's progressed chart and natal chart as far as synastry, this definitely heightens any synastry and may even explain why the attraction is stronger than the synastry appears to be.

Oh absolutely! There are whole threads on this subject and if you google Paul Westran (sp?) he did a whole study. There's definitely something valid there, because I see it all the time too.

What happens when the planets stop aspecting each other though? If there are no aspects in synastry to point to long-lasting attraction, will it just disappear?

I'm noticing a pattern, too.
But I just wonder if progressions are only good at starting things and not really sustaining them.

Yeah it will just fade. That explains why some people just break up after being with each other for awhile.

You want to see applying aspects. You see people breaking up when progressed planets change, or Venus aspecting Saturn especially exact(opp/square). Notice the ruler of the 7th and it's aspects too.

If the synastry/composite is weak, I dont think any amount of progressions will make a difference...It's not meant to last.

Thanks, guys!

One more thing, who feels the aspects more, the natal planet person or the progressed planet person? Or does it go both ways?

The progressed planet person feels it more, is that what you're saying? I'd think so, anyway

Oh by the way, Solar Arcs seem to be of value, too. Will have to take a look at those!
