So, I have those 3 fixed tsquares involving Uranus with Mercury, Mars and Jupiter, in Aqua close conjunct, opposing Uranus, squared my Taurus Moon (and Scorp asc.)

I wonder IF being so attuned and sensitive to the Uranian energy makes for an increased central nervous system activity.

Broke a tooth the other day, I have always known I am a night tooth grinder since childhood, and my dentist told me all my teeth on that side are ground down.

Dont sleep well, never have.

Was diagnosed, recently with hypertension.

Have had periods of high anxiety till I got on Lexapro for "hormonal" isssues.

Thoughts, experiences?

thanks

t~~~

Yes, Uranus - and its lower octave Mercury - rule the nerves.

So it's not surprising!

You're welcome.

Relax, relax, relax.
Meditation could be a good idea.

Just try to slow down your thinking process and take some time away from any stimuli, give your mind the opportunity to calm down and just be in the present moment without thinking about anything.

I think it definitely does. My whole life I've dealt with over anxiety as a result of excess nervous energy. I have a lot of allergies too, because my nervous system is so delicate. And I attract electrical energy. No joke. I've got Uranus as a dominant planet in my chart, it's also the most aspected planet and it's the ruler of my chart as an Aquarius Rising.

My nervous energy is so bad but it is getting better. And yes I do have trouble sleeping or just chilling out in general. It doesn't help that I live in the Northeastern part of the USA (Boston) which has sporadic and very cold weather patterns which doesn't help soothe my nerves. I've gotten better at trying to relax though. At work I'm like shaking and tapping trying to release the energy. I can't do 9 - 5 work, it feels like I'm suffocating and I'm just aware of too much. I need a lot of freedom to do as I please because my energy patterns are so intense and erratic thanks to Uranus. I practice Yoga and mediate, I've also gotten into aromatherapy which helps a great deal. Sun exposure helps also and fresh air. I use oils such as Sweet Almond and Lavender which have a very calming effect on the body and help to relieve nervous tension.

I'm actually trying to move to an environment that has a consistent whether pattern. Preferably warm all year with low humidity. Because of my nervous energy I need a lot of fresh Air and time with nature to refocus and relax. It's tough being a Uranian. You should try aromatherapy it might help you feel more zen.

I feel for you guys.
I'm not Uranian at all but Gemini ASC is very nervous all by itself, plus Mercury is the dispositor of my Moon. Anxiety sucks.

It's important to take some time to rest and calm down. Going out for a walk, listening to soothing music, taking care of your body, are all good outlets for nervous energy.

Have Uranus conjunct IC - I feel I'm Uranian - always worrying, switching gears, thoughts are all over the place, always feel the need to consider plan changes, never a calm moment, etc., etc. You know, I was thinking of Uranus yesterday - I think it was Linda Goodman Star Signs book that mentions 1 for Sun, 2 for moon, 3 for jupiter, 4 for uranus, 5 for mercury, 6 for venus, 7 for neptune, 8 for saturn, 9 for mars - and since Uranus is conjunct my packed fourth house - I noticed that many people who come into my life that have some sort of profound impact on it - either have a life path number of 4, bithdate of 4......

funny you should mention magnesium though - I'm supposed to be taking magnesium capsules :-)

My Uranus is conjunct Saturn and Neptune, opposite Moon and Jupiter, Square to Sun Mercury and Mars, and Sextile to Venus and Pluto. So I qualify for someone with a lot of Uranian energy and connectivity.

I am pretty laid back outwardly and about life in general I feel. I do think about things a lot and find it hard to switch my mind off a lot of the time. This is probably the reason I have a lot of trouble sleeping. I cannot seem to switch off at night and spend at least 1 if not close to 2 hours just lying in bed trying to drift off to sleep each night.

About comments directed at trying to calm down and keep away from stimuli, there may certainly be some merit in that. Although, if you are blessed with Uranian energy I feel it would be better to spend it on something worthwhile rather than trying to bottle it up or subvert it. Uranian energy can bring about a lot of creativity, change and new things. I agree 100% that findind some time to relax each day is a good idea in general and even more so for Uranian heavy people.

I agree with Popcorn in trying to channel that energy you have into something positive in your life, whether it be, work, hobbies, interests, sport, children, cooking, or whatever it happens to be.

I feel similarly to Native Joan, working a standard 9-5 job makes me very uncomfortable. I find it difficult and feel trapped. I also like and enjoy my freedom and want to be doing something more flexible in terms of work schedule. Its not because I don't like challenges, I love them, but rather the fact that grinding the same 8 hours every day for most of your life. I just can't imagine any greater waste of time, or worse way to spend my life.

Doux Reve, I am trying to discipline myself with meditation, mind wanders...lol! I am a way layed back person anyway, and dont have a hard time doing nothing, this Uranus thing is quite insidious and quite internal.

Mercurian, I have been taking a Bcomplex for a while and a long time fan of magnesium! Mag makes me feel kind of centered.

Natively Joan, I have terrible allergies too! I am a RN and work 12 hour shifts and could never, ever do a 9-5 again, absolutely need my 4 days off to regain sanity! I love to be outside, but in south Texas, those times in the summer are few, mainly in the early morn and late eve. I love lavender and will try sweet almond! Funny you mention climate, I am working toward moving back to the midwest to be with my grandpa and eventually boyfriend....BUT, I will do it travel nursing so I can come back here in the winter months~

aquaguy, my dentist recommended a night guard...I almost laughed, I cant sleep as it is, for more than a few hours at a time at the most...let alone have a foreign object in my mouth!

popcorn, I agree, but am usually so exhausted from the internal stimulation that on my days off, I just tend to household chores, which are my creative aspects anyway, gardening, cooking, etc. I need to start walking again, bought a state park pass, there is a wonderful one 15 minutes from here NEED to get out there!!! But a bit afraid to go alone due to the ferel hogs, javalina and bobcats

Luvinu, I get ya, my mind is all over the place...my Pisces soul has trouble keeping up with my mind.

Swift Freeze, I agree completely with all you say, but like just metioned the internal stimulation just wears me out...but perhaps forcing myself to walk and hike will eventually mainfest as a good thing!

Thank you all!!!

Great ideas and I am so glad to know there are others that this crazy planet affects so much. And I really have learned from this thread to try to channel it into something positive so it is not such a detriment to my health!

Venus and mars opposition uranus; moon trine uranus and saturn square uranus.

These are my placements, anyone care to offer a description? ;.)

I think these placements give me a rugged individualistic grind or mindset, I'm fairly adaptable, enjoy a challenge and I tend to have blaring in my head even without actually listening to anything. Gives me a certain sex appeal dunno and an interesting way of dressing up I suppose so. Restless energy in general.

Uranus Conjunct Sun, combine that by an overtly nervous Virgo nature, jittery.

Alcohol does a number on me.

I don't understand astro technicalities such as 't squares' 'stelliums' I would not know how to plot it or even identify it for myself but my most recent fascination (which was actually a couple of months ago) was a book by an author > Sue Tomkins and I felt that I could relate with her material or elucidations which were on aspects specifically; such as moon mars, mars neptune, venus pluto and so forth; its fairly comprehensive, its nice to read yeah, you'd read you're own aspects and find yerself hogging up all the other outlays. Nice work www.amazon.com . amazon books, search author.

My boyfriend has strong Uranian attunement (according to Walter Pullen it's the most dominant planet in his chart) and serious nervous issues. I always attributed that to his mutable moon, though.

I've taken 2 things to see how dominant Uranus is for me.
On one that I forgot the name of, I got 30 points (and might be higher if I knew how to calculate the quintile, semisquare, or sesquiquadrate) over 25 is considered very high.
And on the Pullen one, it says it is my 3rd most dominant.

I'm also a Gemini Rising.

I use to constantly put too much on my plate. From being in school, dance classes, being in numerous theatrical and local film productions, auditions. (and trying to have a normal life, yeah right! ha) By 16 it was involved with too much. Ballet exam, a student film shooting, finishing up production of Grease (I was Frenchie) and I was involved with another teen production doing Fame, and was Dorris. And was suppose to be off book for that for the rehearsals! All in the same week!!
Yeah there was no way I was off book for "Fame" And the director gave me a really hard time about it. He had no idea! And he did not wanna wear my excuses. That experience changed me for life. It felt horrible doing your best trying to fit all your passions in. And being ridiculed for something I could not psychically mentally do. For the first time ever, I got burned out from something I loved doing, and thought I would do for the rest of my life.

But I had to keep going and cram in all those lines! Rescue remedy, and Vitimin water "platnum B" helped me get though it.
But after that experience, I realized I needed a break. And by that point of the game, my mom was a stage mom...and my dreams where now her hopes and dreams. And she did not care when I said I needed a break! And I was already signed up to go to theater camps that summer.
But the closer I got to adulthood the more I bit my mom's head off for trying to be a stage mom, and the more I withdrawn from showbiz stuff, and would only do things that paid me. (only two gigs since then) And by then I was just ready to take it easy and have a normal life. And explore what else was out there.

But yeah...breaks are important. Breaks can rekindle the passion of your passions. Whether it's obligations, tasks, or people you love.

I admit though...since I've stopped dancing...I do miss it sometimes. And I have been considering taking dance classes at my community college. I went about two years without dancing. Took one at community college last year, and want an excuse to take another.

I know this was kind of a long babbling story, but I thought I'd share what can happen when you don't take a break. (and I know I'm not the only one here who has got burned out from something. lol)

But since then...I try to take it easy. And not constantly seek things to put on my plate. And as soon as I feel burned out, I try to focus on giving my self me time...or seek something stress reveling to do...and get away somewhere. Whether it's travel, a day at the spa...or the gun shooting range, or finally being home alone all by myself curled up in a ball after a rough day. haha

Yeah I get high strung, anxiety, tense, and nerve shot. Gets bad, but no panic attacks or anything like that. But I will have the occasional mental break down, and will need to shout and scream sometimes alone in my car or something. lol

Sometimes my coping skills are good and sometimes they are destructive.

This is horrible, but I smoke ciggs to clam my nerves. The more stress I'm under, the more I smoke. My life isn't too hard now...I only smoke about 5 a day.
Driving somewhere I'm not familiar with can really get my nerves going. When I first started driving...before I even smoked, I would have mental break downs, if I made a wrong turn or if the road I needed to go on was under construction etc. I am way more mature now and know how to handle such things now. I usually gotta have my fix when I don't know where I am driving to and most of the time anyways. Driving makes me nervous most of the time.

Another horrible example last year I had a presentation for a summer class I was taking. (and yes I thought I was going to be a blow off class) I decide to print the part I had to print. Before I took off for class. And it was not printing!!! I was freaking out. Had a mental breakdown, threw things around in my room. Really upset. Finally just said screw it and e-mailed it to my teacher. But I was so upset that I was like "I AM NOT GOING!!" But then a voice in my head was telling me get over it, and get it over with so you can finally relax. But then I was like I can't, I have to but I can't. I was so shakin up, I did not want to give a presentation and was having a hard time calming my nerves after freaking out.
I drank a beer, and went to class. (and yes I had a DD)

now of days, I don't have trouble sleeping. Getting up early all the time, lately it's hard for me to stay up past 11:30. I really only have trouble sleeping if I am feeling disturbed or tormented by something. That doesn't happen too often now of days.
If I get use to having to be up early I eventually become early to bed early to rise person.
If I can't sleep and need to, I will drink a warm glass of milk. I cannot do the advil pm...I either feel like crap the next day, or I sleep though my alarm clock and feel like crap the next day.
Oh and sometimes I will spray a relaxing smell on my pillow like vanilla.
