Hi guys. So I was wondering: what placements in someone's chart can make him prone to love triangles? All my life I have been in such lame situations and it's not a very nice feeling. Thank you.

Venus is at 29 degree in Leo. I guess is squaring all my other planets. Doomed forever, I think.

I've read some things that associated love triangles with Venus/Pluto aspects. I don't have a link to share but if you search for venus pluto love triangle they will likely pop up.

Yes, I do. Venus in Leo square Pluto in Scorpio. Karmic relationships. I knew that with the amount of Rx planets I must have been a totally b**** in my past life but I didnt imagine it would affect me like that for the rest of my life. Pity.

^ This will probably leave you unphased but Lana Del Rey, the singer, has the same aspect with the same signs. Maybe some of her stuff will appeal? I have Venus sq Saturn & notice that some of the singers I like have that aspect as well & listening to their music helps me somehow. It's the weirdest thing.

At least if I will not have love I will have other things worth fighting for. Something that won't bring me over and over again in tears and sorrow.

Rosalind, I know how hopeless it feels when things never seem to work out and there are obstacles blocking you from happiness. It's such a torture! I also have Venus square Pluto and I have Saturn Rx in house 5 so it's been (and still is!) a struggle. I won't lose my hope though because nothing is written in stone. It's all about attitude and believe in yourself. Things will change if you believe it. I know it's hard to be positive sometimes and I often just want to give up - but don't! You have such power within you to fulfill your dreams. See the obstacles as temporary tests... I know you don't want to hear it, but you just have to pick yourself up once again. You can do it, you're much stronger than you think. *hugs* to you

That would be the problem. I already gave up. I am not willing to put any effort anymore in something I know perfectly will not work. Its not a single case. Its been like that since my teens. My patience has also a limit. I cannot waste my life waiting for something that will not come. For a person like me with a very bad aspected chart and many karmic debts these are not temporary tests. Its like a wheel that come and go over and over again. Now I life for my career. Its not good there either but at least doesnt hurt me that much. With every step I make I feel more confident and stronger. Nobody loves me? That's cool. Its not a problem. I got used to loneliness. But they have to leave alone in order to do what I have to do. That means no more games from the Destiny. I'm not a child anymore. I have the right to choose whats the best for me. Thanks a lot, guys!

I want to put out there the idea of 'secondary gains.' I do this cos I have Sun 8th trine Pluto so I'm all about analysis, just in case you're thinking I'm trying to portray you in a bad light. Not at all, I know love triangles are v.common.
In that, if you can be brutally honest w.yourself, what do you gain from being involved in these situations..or more to the point, what do they allow you to avoid. Not looking for a response just throwing the idea out there.
This is just what I do for myself, I ask myself the hard questions, because I'm always looking for underlying motivations. Man Against Himself is one of my favorite books & the author also wrote Love Against Hate which I haven't read yet but it's on my list.
Nyah already said the sweet stuff so this is my contribution

Hate does not exist in my dictionary. Neither revenge or any of these childish stuff. I do believe that God takes care of everything. There is no fight here. Life is too short to waste it with impossible things. Waiting the impossible is not something worthy. I am a wise person and I know one thing: we, people cannot have it all. Everything begins with a choice, no matter what are the consequences. Simple as the daylight.

I have to comment that if there is no fight, your post sounded like it was coming from someone who'd been defeated.

I'm not defeated. Giving up doesnt mean I'm defeated. I simply give up to what is unnecesary to make space to other more important things. Not everyone was born to have luck in love and Venus/Pluto is the best example.

Rosalind, I am sorry you've been through hard times.
But think about it, so many people have "difficult" charts, and so many people have Venus/Pluto (hard) aspects, do you really think they're all "doomed"? I don't think so. Call me an optimist but I truly think that anything is possible. Yes, you haven't had the best of luck in love, but so what? Does it mean it will *always* be that way? I understand that right now it seems like it's never gonna work, but maybe you just need a break. Doesn't mean you should give up completely. Just means that maybe now is not the best time. And I agree with Lonake, have you thought about the possible "why" of the love triangles? Often the reason is inside us. It's painful to see but some inner work may help.

Best wishes.

Venus Square Pluto: Third Parties

Every astrology student who’s plagued with a natal square between Venus and Pluto has read about how it indicates obsession, compulsive love, and power games. Those words don’t help at all if you want to effectively handle a Venus-Pluto square. Believe me, I know. I have one natally and have always found those descriptions disheartening—there’s no solution or path indicating a way out. So are we doomed?
Squares are manageable, even if the presence of Pluto complicates matters. In order to learn how, let’s discuss another side of this aspect: love triangles.
In my experience, there is always a third party when Venus Pluto is involved. The third party does not have to be a romantic interest, by the way. It could be a best friend (either yours or your lover’s), a parent, even a job or passionate pursuit. Regardless, the Venus-Pluto native’s lover nearly always chooses the other man, the best friend, or the job over the native.
With enough maturity, you realize that you set yourself up to lose in these situations, albeit subconsciously. Remember, the square represents a conflict. It will play out as you butting heads with someone else, but it always stems from an internal clash, an incorrect belief.
Venus represents what you love and Pluto, your personal power. Venus-Pluto natives secretly believe that you can’t have both love and power; or the best friend and the girl, and so on. You have to choose. Because of the presence of Pluto, you feel that in order to get love, you must cede your intensity and power.
As former tango enthusiast, I’ll use an example from the dance floor. Let’s take a man who’s an accomplished tango lead, but who complains that he never gets the good follows to dance with him. Now, the custom in tango is that the man asks a woman to dance by first scoping her out from across the dance floor and making eye-contact. If she’s interested, she’ll nod subtly and only then will he actually approach and ask for a dance. A Venus-Pluto guy would worry that his eye contact is too intense; he wouldn’t hold the gaze long enough for the woman to realize he’s interested. Worried that he’s overwhelming her, he’d actually give her the idea that he doesn’t deem her a good enough dancer! On some level, he’s aware of his own power and immediately plays it down. Unfortunately, this gives lesser leads—his rivals—the upper hand!
So, you give away your power to the rival. This is done in two ways: by not acknowledging your real talents; and by choosing someone who won’t value you from the start. The solution for Venus-Pluto is to stop slumming. You can’t be responsible for everyone’s feelings. Don’t make yourself smaller so that the little guys feel big. Ironically, as soon as you accept your intensity, you lessen its sting. Then you will discover that the right people for you are unfazed by your power. As you become at ease with your potential, you will attract a partner who’s not afraid of his own power and so can handle yours. http://sasstrology.com/2011/06/venus-square-pluto-third-parties.html

I've also read that Venus in Scorpio could lead to love triangles (probably less so than Venus/Pluto contacts, though).

Hei guys. Sorry for being so quiet. I've been in hospital for a day. I was suspected to have a heart problem but now I'm OK. Wish to thank you very much for all your replies.

Yes, I am. My heart is fine. The doctors put me the wrong diagnosis. In fact I have only a stomach infection.
