The pattern in my family is that my Dad is a Gemini with a Cancer Moon. I'm a Cancer. My mother is a Scorpio with a Gemini Moon and my brother has a Scorpio Moon. So the women have the water Sun signs and the men have the water Moon signs (and air Suns - my bro is a Libra)Did that make sense? IP: Logged |

My family has a lot of placements in common. My Mom and my brother are both Leo risings with Leo Virgo dominant charts, my dad is a Taurus sun and I'm a Taurus moon and I'm an aqua sun and ascendant and we think dad is an aqua ascendant. And me,mom,my brother all have Venus in the first.and everyone in my family has moon Pluto aspects.IP: Logged |

Both me and my mom are pisces asc. Only I didnt pass the water asc to my kids. Both my kids are fire asc.
One is Aries
the other is Leo. Both my kids have stelliums in air/earth, which I have an earth void and only generational planets in air.. IP: Logged |

Mutable Ascendants and Moons run in my family. My parents have opposite ascendants respectively in Virgo and Pisces and both have mutable Moons - Gemini and Virgo. I also have a mutable Ascendant - Sagittarius and my Moon is in Pisces. Its weird because I think I'm just half & half of both. IP: Logged |

Hmmmmmm I am not sure if Rising signs run in my family.With my two daughters and myself it goes like this. Me - Aries Sun, Cancer Moon and Gemini Rising
D1 - Gemini Sun, Cancer moon and Leo rising
D2 - Leo Sun, Pisces Moon and Aquarius Rising
All three of us have Water Moons and Venus'.
It appears to me both girls have the astrological signature of Gemini. Both charts have a strong air emphasis. Though D1 is close in water as well. (Air/Water mix). D2 is weak in Fire. My mom is a Leo Sun conj my D1's rising degree. My mother also has an Aries moon in her 4th house. My Dad is a Gemini, Pisces moon. I am Gem rising. Both my girls Rising signs = their father's Sun signs.

sister taurus/gemini cusp, leo moon, leo asc me cappy which is my also my grandmas sign
me libra moon
me aries asc so i took my gmas sun my moms moon and my dads sun as my asc

I don't have birth times for family members but my mother was a Leo sun and I'm Leo rising.Generally speaking, and this is a bit of a tangent, I do think astrology reflects family. There are too many overlapping birthdays in my family to ignore...also birthdays coinciding with death dates. Here's one, my mother was born August 17, her first child was a boy born November 11. Her first grandchild was also a boy born on November 11...to a woman born August 17.

My dad's ASC opposes mine exactly (Im 27 Gem, he's 27 Sag). My mom's ascendant is in Pisces, but I don't know her exact birth time so I don't know the degree.IP: Logged |

I was extempjunk there  Sorry this is a little off topic, but no one in my immediate family shares my ascendant, but bizarrely enough, EVERYONE I've ever attracted (where there was mutual interest) has shared my Ascendant in Scorpio.
