i don't have any of these. but my daughter has saturn in scorp and pluto in libra...funnily they are in mutual reception (and conjunct 4* orb) as well as "singletons". i see them playing out quite definitely in her life, but i wouldn't call them malefic, in fact considering the planets involved and the signs i think she has done quite well!!
which is not to say that she has not had to struggle with them, they are in her third house and partnership/ discipline problems have been part of her "issue menu"...of course the conjunction makes her very strong-minded. a force to be reckoned with...does it also cancel out the "singleton" requirements do y'think?

I have mars singleton in Libra in the 9th house. Completely attract Mars men, borderline on the violent types (not good). Found an article: http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/mars/mars.htm

which says

quote:
Women with it may tend to attract angry, sexual men, although many times these days women do find positive personal outlets for a Mars singleton.

I think having Mars singleton in Libra means that I am always trying to balance with these types of men - not such an easy task.

Mars is my only air sign, but I am constantly accused of being "aloof". I try to rationalize almost everything and am very comfortable in learning atmospheres (ninth house).

What else would this singleton suggest? Any ideas?

Node~ I used to be on Lindaland day and night about 5 years ago (same Zoso name too - my favorite Zeppelin album)so I'm glad to be back!

Right now I'm also a returning college student and work at the college too, so yes educational atmospheres are where I usually end up! I'm a Sag too, so that goes along with the 9th house singleton in regards to higher education.

And yes, as you guessed, recently someone told me I was "very aloof" which surprised me because I don't feel aloof at all! I think I seem more reserved (Cappy ASC) than others. And yes, I do put others' needs ahead of me to my own detriment, but only in love situations. Right now I struggle with this with my SO trying to communicate my needs, but paired with an Aries bf, what I say doesn't always seem to get across.

Now that I think of it, my Libra Mars is squared with Cappy Mercury. That doesn't fare too well with communicating effectively, does it?

What confuses me about singletons is that which planets and luminaries we are taking into account. For example what about chiron?

~Jupiter singletons are likely to have a God Complex

I thought it was too good to be true that I would be the next messiah...

The way I percieve Jupiter as a singleton in my chart, is moreso that I tend to excess (I love to shower people with gifts, especially when they really don't need it) and that I have an incessant thirst for knowledge. Well, higher knowledge, as it suits Jupiter more. Not just that but Jupiter is also the ruler of my rising. Makes it even worse.

So excess and unquenchable thirst for knowledge as it is associated with higher education. Like Astrology, it's a higher knowledge.

And a God complex.

I always considered singletons as somewhat loose cannons. They just run around uncontrollably and are unstoppable once they get going.

Then again, that's how I experience my Jupiter. As a huge loose cannon.

I have mars singleton in gemini in 5th house and am still having trouble seeing how this functions. I also have Neptune Scorpio conj 10th cus (Equal -so not MC)as singleton (only water)

Mars is well aspected and direct, sextile moon and square jupiter in 8th and sextile pluto in 7th -- so it's apex for minor grand trine (or talent triangle)1' Aqu Asc
I do think I attract men that 'could have a temper' but seem rather controlled with it. My 2nd husband was a policeman and quite able to handle himself(mars quincunx pluto). My new chap is quite capable of defending himself if provoked (mars squ uranus)
Gemini rules 5th cusp and I have 2sons, 1gemini 1 Aqu The gemini son has mars squ uranus & was real handful in puberty...

I don't see this mars as debilitated cos it's well aspected even though mars squ jup suggests confidence.

I there any way to upload charts here, as I'm rather visual? do people normally paste a link from imageshack or photobucket?

Any more ideas on how this mars could play out?

Here are some of my research links for anyone interested -
Singleton planets
“If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.” http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/13.0Singletons.htm http://www.astrologyclub.org http://en.mimi.hu/astrology/singleton.html http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-2334.html
(There is a book out by Shirley Lyons Meier, "Elemental Voids, More than Meets the Eye", which gives a good discussion of missing elements.) The Inferior Function can be a source of great motivation and creative expression. http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/intro/singleton_intro.htm
