So a massive fire started in my neighborhood yesterday and it spread to various homes and they all burned down. A very tragic and unfortunate event. Thankfully my home wasn't near the fire however I could see the houses burning from where I stand outside of my house, they were just down the street. There were many fire trucks and firefighters at the scene trying to control the fire for hours. Our whole neighborhood smelled like burning fuels it was horrible. The cause of the fire is under investigation and thankfully no one was hurt but many families are now homeless and they've basically lost everything because most of their homes burned straight to the ground. The whole event has really shaken me. I couldn't sleep last night and this occurrence is the second 'a little too close to home' event that's happened to me within the last 2 weeks. I'm trying to make sense of it all. This morning there were news crews all around the scene and it looks like a meteor hit that site today. The grass is black filled with ashes, I mean it's so disturbing. For a moment when the fire was blazing out of nowhere last night it felt like the end of the world. I thought I'd try to apply what I know of astrology to these occurrences. I'm wondering if it could be the Martian energies in the air. Especially Uranus in Aries. The suddenness of events happening under Uranus and the cardinal fire energy of Aries. It also looks as though Mars is square Uranus. These fires in my neighborhood spread to various homes in minutes. The quickest fire I have ever scene. And it took hours for firefighters to get control of it because new fires kept sparking after they'd hosed the fire down. What exactly are the causes of house fires astrologically or any random fire for that matter including forest fires? What would have to be in the mix for such an event to occur? Any insights would be helpful even if the answer is that astrology might not be able to explain this. Thank you. IP: Logged |

That sounds horrible, I'm sorry!tMars doesn't square Uranus though, but they are quincunx.
It widely opposes Neptune and squares Venus.

Rapper 50 Cent House Fire - this one looks at an event chart.This one was the reasoning for not choosing one option in an astro guessing game:

I agree with her about Mars Jupiter, that one is often implicated in accidents. But then again in your neighborhood it could have been arson perhaps. Wouldn't be surprised if that one AND t.Uranus in Aries sq Pluto in Cap was kicking off something in the home owners charts. H4 is your home. I was in a house fire, when I was little...
It wasnt my house I was at the babysitters house..
I dont have dates. I just know it was after Christmas but before New Years.
The Christmas tree caught on fire, and the entire wall was on fire in a second.. Im not even sure how old I was. But maybe around 8-10 years old. Under 11 for sure. At that time Uranus would have been in Scorpio and sq my Mars or my leo stellium. What house rules fire? Maybe we can compare transits for those few years of mine, and she whats common. IP: Logged |

Could also be a H2 issue, the personal resource association.
I just looked at Ricki Lake's progressions for when her rented beach house burned.
She has natal Mars in 11th Leo sq Neptune in 2nd Scorpio. SA ASC was partile conj n.Neptune. And then that square was triggered by t.Neptune conj Chiron in Aquarius (falling in her 6th). So a Mars/Neptune/Neptune t square.
She also had t.Saturn (H4 ruler) going through her 12th conj n.SN. SA Mars was conj n.ASC & n.SN, both were sq the t.NN. Her n.H4 ruler is in Aries.
p.Mars was in the 12th conj n.Sun/Pluto, sextile SA ASC/n.Neptune, both inconjunct n.Saturn.
She was sued for negligence for allegedly starting the fire. That sure makes sense for the Mars/Neptune & then her H4 ruler is Saturn in the 7th.
She was in the house at the time with her sons & escaped..if it threatened her life then that makes sense re:Mars/Sun/Pluto. quote:

Thanks for all the responses. This one slipped under my radar for a couple of days. I've been doing further research and I really appreciated all these incredible astrological insights. @Lioness, let's definitely compare transits. I'm going to do a transit analysis of the day the fire happened in my neighborhood. It was actually unfortunately on Easter Sunday. I'm going to post more of what I discover. If anyone else has ideas or stories related to house fire and astrological patterns please share! Oh and evidently after the crime scene investigation was completed, the cause of the fire was confirmed to be from a cigarette. Many people lost their homes because a fire spread like madness, to different people's houses because someone accidentally discarded a lit cigarette. Madness. Really. IP: Logged |

NativelyJoan.. Im sorry I totally forget about this, I just saw your post.
Ok here is what I remember.. I think I was 8 or 9 but not 100% sure... My mom was at work and I was at the babysitters house.. Me and the babysitters daughter were playing with candles (ok ashamed  ) She had lite a candle then went to go tell her mom something.. She walked past the christmas tree with the candle. The tree went up SO fast.. With in a second the tree was totally engulfed in flames which spread to the curtains and so on...
I stood there looking at it all with just the biggest eyes.. Thinking O boy we are in some TROU-bbbbBLE!
It was after xmas but before new years (for sure) I used a date in the middle for the transits.. I picked Dec 28th. Keep in mind some of the faster moving planets my be some what off..
Here is my chart when I was 8 and then another at 9..
I dont think my IC would be transits since it wasnt my house...
BTW.. Im still scared to death of Christmas Trees.. I cant have a christmas tree.. Maybe Chiron??? Im not sure what to look for..
What rules fire? What rules babysitter or someone else's house? Here is my chart at age 8

Im not sure what rulers to look for house wise.

wow,hi natively!i see you posted this message the same day,we had a small housefire in here,the place i live together with my bf...
on the 9th of april 2012 around 8pm GMT an unfortunate pan with oil was forgotten on the electric heat...due to my bf having visitors and being away for some days on our houseboat where the gascooker had to be turned off exactly the other way than it has to be turned off here in the flat,he confused both and switched it off the wrong way here...so the oil in the pan caught a fire and we got in a major shock altogether.he managed to tear down the burning pan from the cooking plate and i kicked the burning pan out the door,doing the soccer!we are over it by now,fire men,police,neighbours,insurance...you name it...all came by after...and some neighbours kicthen were terribly smelly due to our little fire as was our flat too.i of course checked immediately what constellation was active in that particluar moment in time!now i found that the moon was conjunct NN which is inclined with the mutable grand cross,mars opp neptune squaring the nodes,phuu!!!so i really put it off as the moon influence that amplified the grand cross influence.my bf right hand is burned 2nd degree and after all we were pretty lucky,my dog is ohke i have no damage whatsoever,but me too was curious how come such a tragedy must happen...i feel with you and i think all of this is caused by the grand cross activation and the moon simply amplified that in the moments when moon was entering sag,and mars was stationary to go direct.i also noticed that few days ago when moon run over neptune (another point of the grand cross) the energies around me were extremely tense...so be aware of this grand cross! o yes also i forgot...my bfs hand does pretty well cause he managed to cool his hand very fastly...before the ambulance arrived...his wound is healing rapidly and he will be fine very soon the doctores say!so we were very lucky after allIP: Logged |

Hi Lucie  , that's an interesting parallel. Thank you for sharing. I send my best to you and your bf. In my neighborhood no one was hurt physically, but it was still pretty traumatic. These things always are so unfortunate. We're all trying to help each through healing and giving resources where we can. I want to dissect all this incredibly insightful information and it would be great to get into an depth discussion going about what we discover in relation to sudden fires and astrology. @Lioness, thanks for posting the charts, I'm excited to pick them apart, and look for parallels. I dont think my IC would be to involved since it wasnt my home.. But it did scare me, so Im thinking Chiron is a part of it. When was squaring my leo set up and chiron was in my H2 of values. IP: Logged |
