I am trying to pinpoint the astrological reason that my boyfriend and I fight so much.According to Walter Pullen's delineation, we are both fixed dominant, so perhaps mutual stubbornness causes intense battles of will? Then again, his Mars sign is my sun sign, and my Mars sign is his sun sign, so maybe that's why we seem to fight more than is normal? But then I've also done quite a bit of reading on basic sun sign compatibility between Aqua females and Sagittarian males and I've read from more than one source that the relationship can be punctuated by frequent fights that are quickly forgotten (true in our case). Or perhaps it's problems within our individual natal charts that cause conflict? I have a Venus/Mars square, and he has a Mars/Saturn and a Mars/Pluto square. Why do you think we fight a lot? I figure if I can isolate the cause maybe I can work on minimizing the quantity.

For those who may be wondering why we don't just call it quits, the answer is about as simple as it gets: there's too much love there (we have both sun AND moon conjunct Venus in our composite).IP: Logged |

Maybe it's in the synastry that is setting something off in each of the natals. Like, I have Pisces Sun sq Uranus in Sadge and I like when someone's Moon is on my Sun, but when they want to get too close for too long I feel like I need to make a run for it (sadge). I just need some space then I will return. And this is not happy for most Pisces Moons cos they like constant intimacy & feel slighted (sensitive placement). Or I have Leo rising opp Aqua Merc. I don't take kindly to anyone's Saturn on my ASC cos it feels like they're stifling my self expression cos they can't emote like I can (Leo) (as if I care that they're resentful) & I want to rebel (Aqua) against that. So take into account natal aspects (look at the hard ones first, esp sq & opp) + signs + what it's getting in the synastry. That could help IP: Logged |

I have a Pisces moon that is square (by sign but not aspect) my Uranus in Sadge, Leo rising opposite Aqua Mercury. In addition, my boyfriend's Saturn in Scorpio is on my rising sign (again, by sign but not aspect). Truly, this advice/interpretation could NOT have been more helpful. My mouth is hanging open.

If you have Leo rising & he has Saturn in Scorpio then they wouldn't be in the same sign.IP: Logged |

Aqua Mercury and Mars Sagittarius, I can be very argumentative at times too, I will take responsibility for my part. Plus, I'm an Aqua so I'm stubborn and I won't back down until I feel heard. However, with this aspect of his, he gets violent and breaks things around the house. We currently have a hole in our bedroom door. Oh well. Guess I will just have to deal with it until he grows into his square.

^ This might be part of why you argue so much.Without your Pisces moon, you might be more inclined to give him an ultamatim: stop the violence or it's over. IP: Logged |

Off topic: Weird how so much of this applies to me (I'm a Pisces moon with Saturn in Leo), yet you and I have so much in common (Leo rising opposite Mercury in Aquarius; Pisces squaring Sadge outer planets; I'm a Cap sun, you're a Cap moon.) Your Cap moon also might be what's saying "back off." IP: Logged |

I suppose it could be my Pisces moon. I actually attributed it more to my various Aqua placements; he can break things but I just don't like him making all kinds of noise when I am trying to read something. Geesh. I can be sooo engaged in the argument and then I just get bored when I start to feel like we're just rehashing the same points and detach. More than once he's continued going and I've tried to tune him out so I could focus on the article I was reading. It annoyed me that he was making me lose my train of thought. Keep in mind I am 44% fixed. I'm currently struggling internally with leaving my current job for one that comes with an $11,000 raise. It should be a no-brainer but I'm so comfortable where I am and I really like the stability it offers me. If he ever hit me that would certainly be the end of that, but he never has and I don't think he ever will. Sagittarius men are also notorious for their fiery temper, Linda Goodman spoke of it in her "Sun signs" it was eerie how accurate it was. My Mars/Venus square has a high tolerance for drama, I suppose. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure how to post a synastry chart, I only know about the composite one on astro.com. Do they have a synastry one, too?

I actually feel like I react with Mars first (instead of my Pisces moon). I don't really feel it in the moment. I might think back later on the harsh words that were exchanged and my sensitivities will start to rise within me and then I'll start crying (and of course then he'll feel awful and come in and comfort me and hold me and apologize profusely) and then we'll go back to whatever it was we were doing before the argument and all is mostly forgotten. But in the heat of the moment I'm all Sagittarian tongue-lashings. Not quite sure why the delayed moon. Maybe it's because Mars is at a tighter orb than my moon sign.He provokes 99.9% of all of our fights, though. We BOTH know it. IP: Logged |

Yes, they have synastry charts. It's actually the selection right after the natal chart, right above the composite lol (if you go to the extended chart selection).Quick look: You got Pluto square Mars and Pluto conjunct Saturn as well as Mars conjunct Uranus. Those are explosive combinations if not channeled correctly. IP: Logged |

Oh, OK. I always went to the "Free Horoscope" section and selected AstroClick Partner or Partner Horoscope. That gave me the composite. Here is our synastry:

I just did some reading on that Mars conjunct Uranus aspect - that's very true what it says. It's sometimes volatile but it is NEVER boring. He is the least boring boyfriend I have ever had.Well, we are both Plutonian types (we both have Hades moons and I additionally have moon in the 8th house) so I suppose it's no small wonder that we are somewhat more willing to deal with a Plutonian relationship where others might have run away. We've been dealing with these energies personally all our lives. IP: Logged |
