Does this mean you will likely not reach/fulfill the purpose of this incarnation?

I hope not.

But I guess the path is going to be even more difficult..

Because your personal energies are not in sync with what you should be heading toward.

The only planet I have compatible with my north node sign is the moon.

My sun, ascendant, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Pluto are all square or opposition to NN by sign, and my Mars, Uranus and Saturn are all quincunx NN.

Oh wow. Where is your NN? Do you think you can still develop that area in your life and bring the sign/house qualities of that position to light?

Perhaps. It would be a challenge. Me for instance, I have my chart ruler(s) in the rational 3rd House, but my Virgo NN is in the nebulous 12th. I take that to mean I'm supposed to try to find order within the unexplainable that transcends worldly bounds. Or if I want to take the easy way out, become a nurse or prison warden or psychiatrist/researcher in an institutional setting.

The path just isn't as clear-cut.

But having your Sun conjunct NN isn't necessarily easy either. Just more straightforward. For instance, my dad has this combination and he still had to work his butt off. And after he achieved the surface meaning of NN in the 2nd House, he still isn't fulfilled and has to now realize what the true meaning of it is.

My NN is conjunct my MC. It's Taurus. I really don't know, I don't value much of what Taurus values at all. Perhaps I will get a Taurean job, but that's it.

See, it's hard to get to the NN.

In your case, you need to be more "out there" in the world, and less centered on domestic/family matters. Your SN is in Scorpio and in the 4th which suggests a naturally sensitive, protective and maybe even defensive attitude towards your deepest self.
You may be too preocuppied with family matters, in some way.

With the NN on the MC, you need to find a calling that will make you ambitious and have a good social standing.

Taurus differs from Scorpio in that it isn't that concerned with the hidden meaning in things, it is more down to earth and doesn't get too obsessed or intense about things. So you may need to see things in a more practical, physical and less emotional way.

Just some thoughts, not sure it applies to you!

My north node is unaspected so I guess it isn't in sync with the rest of my chart..

I wonder if it's better to have an unaspected NN or an afflicted one. I think unaspected is better because there is no friction of energies, nothing stands in the way, so to speak.

My NN squares Moon and Chiron and is near my DSC, which as I see it, means that my emotions and insecurities always get in the way and prevent me from forming meaningful relationships. Mars also widely conjuncts the NN but it's out of sign, so not sure how that plays out.
Technically my NN is in the 6th though, and I am definitely not practical in daily life. I need to work on that.
