My understanding is, it mainly has to do with strong 8th, 9th, and 12th house placements. And Pisces.

I think a strong Neptune-Mercury connection would have to help.

Psychic ability is the same as musical ability in that we all have it. However, it comes easier to some people than others.

I am learning to sing. My teacher says that anyone can sing.I was surprised at this but I am learning to so I think it is true. However, not everyone can be a wonderful singer. That is native ability.I think psychic ability may be the same. That is my 2 cents.

1. Moon-Neptune (especially the conjunction)

2. Moon-Uranus

3. Sun-Neptune

4. Venus-Neptune (maybe...)

5. Pisces Moon coupled with aspects to Neptune and/or Uranus. Seems like personal Pisces planets that aspect Neptune, Uranus and/or Pluto could increase the chances of psychic power too.

6. 9th house Moon coupled with aspects to Neptune and/or Uranus. Sagittarius is known for having pretty good intuition since Jupiter is 'visionary' hence why 9th house Moon well-aspected could increase intuition.

7. Jupiter-Neptune (maybe to 'expand' intuitively and be open to different mystic groups and teachings!)

8. Jupiter-Uranus

9. 12th house planets especially Pluto. Pluto in the 12th can be like a psychic garbage can and can understand intuitively the suffering of others who are very afflicted.

Also, I agree on the Mercury contacting Neptune and/or the Sun to be increasing psychic prowess.

I can only go off of my own chart, because I'm the only one who can verify whether I'm psychic or not. But I've got:
Mercury - Uranus
Mars - Neptune
8th House energy
NN in Pisces
Aquarius Rising
Moon - Uranus
Venus - Uranus
Mars - Uranus

A whole lot of Uranian energy. Would I define myself as psychic? I don't know. Connected? That's seems about right. A Channeler of energy? Possibly. Psychic, I don't know, and knowing seems to be the point of being psychic, right? I don't necessarily predict things, I just connect to energies and make evaluations. I don't like to speculate though, but theorizing is fun. I would not call someone like myself a psychic, but I will say I am able to connect to things.

I have some of the aspects you mentioned; my 8th house Pisces moon is widely trine my 3rd house Uranus, sextile my Cap sun.

I also have Jupiter in the 9th, and Mercury sextile Neptune...and some other stuff...but with my moon squaring Neptune, my feelings can get muddled.

I was told by a psychic when I was younger, that I have psychic dreams, and this has proven itself out undeniably. I have had some eerily prescient dreams; my mother contacted me when I was sleeping to let me know she was about to die; my friend's mother did the same, even though her death was totally unexpected.

Maybe the dreams are affected by transits or something.

Also I can react to something in a psychic way, not realizing it until afterward. Once, I had lunch with an old friend of ours and afterward broke down crying for apparently no reason. I learned later that my father, who was old like this friend, had been admitted to the hospital around the time I started crying. This hospital visit began his journey toward death.

Anyway, I have lots of stories along these lines. But I feel that my moon-Neptune square might be what's preventing me from getting a solid grasp on what I am feeling.

Pisces Moon in the 8th aspecting the Sun AND Uranus is sure to increase the psychic abilities and intuition. The Moon in the 8th alone allows us to open up to things not easily felt by other people; combine that with an extra dose of Pisces energy... it definitely shows some vivid and magical experiences from time to time. But Pisces Moon in the 8th is so heavy... I can see how these psychic/intuitive experiences come out in intense emotional bursts like how you described yourself crying for no reason, only to connect it to solid events later.

Actually since your Moon is in the 8th house, it REALLY makes sense that you will have psychic experiences to do with death and illness leading to death. Since this is the house of death and regeneration, having the Moon here even without psychic indicators such as yours leads the soul to become more aware of death, preoccupied with it and/or afraid of a loved one dying. So it seems your 8H Pisces Moon is your spiritual channel that could make you a medium type who could communicate with the dead. Maybe that's a long-shot, but you have the potential for it according to your chart.

Mercury sextile Neptune only increases the psychic powers you're probably feeling. But yes, the Moon square Neptune is probably a struggle for you. I have the trine between my Moon and Neptune as well as Uranus, and even with a harmonious aspect I find the Moon-Neptune energies difficult in terms of having a clear view on your feelings and just getting a handle on them sometimes...

I sense many many things in the world around me, and I am always communicating with it in some capacity.

For me, my psychic abilities are attributed to my 8th house stellium in gemini + taurus sun. Then for having moon conjunct pluto in scorpio. Because of all of this, my psychic senses are highly connected to the mental world as well. To me logic is connected to it all. Although, there are many times where I will sense something, or know how to do something and will not be able to explain how I knew it, or why, but I just trusted it would work or it was right.

Thank you for your insights!

This kind of stuff gives me chills because I HAVE felt a strong connection with death for a long time (lots of relatives dying when I was young, I was the one to find bodies or take phone calls, I could sense disease and doom, that kind of thing.) And I have had some minor paranormal activity around me which I have tried and tried to dismiss as coincidental.

But it's true and real.

I STILL don't want to talk about it much because even talking about it actually seems to bring it on more.

Edit: Also, I forgot to mention my Pisces moon rules my 12th house. Saturn in the 12th rules my 6th house where my sun is.

I've had this as well but I have to be in a certain mood or altered state to do it.

Once in college I was a bit intoxicated and clumsily typing out a term paper. I didn't know how to really type at that point, plus I was a little drunk. I thought, I wish I could type as fast as my (dead) mother could. So I closed my eyes and said, "Mom...take over my hands, okay?" and was just being goofy and drunk but half-willing to give it a whirl.

I'm serious, it was immediately like my hands BECAME my mother's hands, and I started typing lighting-fast. I just watched the words correctly fly up on the screen, and my jaw dropped and my heart started pounding out of my chest until I had to stop. I think I just walked out of the room and tried to watch TV and forget about it.

I never tried that again. Too creepy.

I have done some exercises in books and online to test psychic ability, and have done surprisingly well. One woman tells you to draw what she is thinking about. I drew a bunch of lines, it turned out looking like the head of a long-haired woman, hovering over a bowl. She had been thinking of Botticelli's Venus paining (woman in a shell.)

Also in Laura Day's book Practical Intuition, she asks you to envision her home in Rome, Italy. I got a LOT of that right, including weird stuff like a black countertop on the dresser in her bedroom.

I suppose these exercises can be rigged by using the power of suggestion; one video was outright rigged like that. The other stuff, I don't know about.

Can you do past life regressions with people? If so, will you tell us more?

I've never heard of this theory but have intuitively (?) thought the same thing for a while. The paranormal activity I alluded to above, much of it had to do with electricity.

After my mother died, I would walk into the living room, sit down where she died, and my light would start switching on and off. That happened for years. Just one example.

That is pretty awesome. I'd have to admit that would creep me out to experience that, but I would let it happen. I am drawn to that sort of eerie out of control stuff.

I know that feeling you are describing though. It feels like someone or something is pushing you forward and you are coasting along a wave with ease. It's a rare feeling, but a very interesting one.
