According to falconastrology.com, here is what the Draconic chart can mean. I found this site a valuable resource when I first learned about Draconic charts.

"Like the North Node, the Draconic chart says something about where we are headed, if we chose to reach out, and also like the South Node, it says something about where we have been, what's comforting, familiar and secure.

There are two main ways to consider the Draconic Natal Chart. It can be read as a stand alone, considering the difference between the orientation of the signs in the original natal chart, and it can be read in aspect to the tropical natal chart. The fist technique is most instructional if you compare the two Zodiacs planet by planet, cusp by cusp. For example if the Natal chart has the sun at 2 degrees of Gemini in the 10th house, we might say there is a need to communicate widely and knowledgeable in ones chosen profession--to feel distinct, this person needs to shine before the public in a sharp, dynamic, witty way. If the Draconic sun is there (it will always have the same house position and aspects) in the sign of Capricorn, there may be an underlying need for that public recognition to reap tangible results--something Gemini alone is not too concerned with. Going through all the planets and angles in this way brings quick insights."

So the Draconic chart seems to be a valuable resource to determine our underlying soul patterns. It's good to compare your Draconic Sun, Moon and ASC to your natal S, M and ASC.

When I look at my Draconic chart for example, I see that I have the Sun in Aquarius this time. For me, this is quite obvious as to what it means in my life. I am a very Uranian person according to my natal chart. My 10H Libra Sun in my natal chart wants to achieve a good public standing and widely known professional presence through something airy, artistic and very original, considering my Sun is unaspected and my singleton planet. But in my Draconic chart, my Sun is in Aquarius, adding serious intellectual depth and uniqueness to my Sun. And this is true: in life, I don't want my artistic creations to be seen as at ALL conventional or 'safe' - I want to push people's limits, and I can certainly be polarizing at times, since I have a very eccentric way of making my living compared to some people I know.

So you can start off with comparing your Sun to your Draconic Sun. That's a good place to start! What did you find? When you made your chart, we can talk more about the differences and what they could mean if you want.

Hmm interesting. I was wondering what's a draconic chart for? I already have a natal so what does a draco show. I'll check that sight when I'm done here. I already went to astro.com and made the draco chart b4 posting this thread but haven't really studied it seeing how I didn't know how to read one. Here's my natal:
Acs: aries 5.09
Sun: virgo 19. 37 H6
Moon: gemini 16.38 H3
Mercury: virgo 19.25 H6
Venus: virgo 24.39 H6
Mars: cancer 22.46 H4
Jupiter: leo 26.39 H5
Saturn: virgo 17.33 H6
Uranus: scorpio 17.54 H8
Neptune: sag 17.46 H9
Pluto: libra 17.58 H7

Now here's the DRACONIC:
Asc: libra 26.44
Sun: aries 11.12 H7
Moon: cap 8.13 H4
Mercury: aries 11.0 H7
Venus: aries 16.14 H7
Mars: aqua 14.21 H5
Jupiter: pisces 18.14 H6
Saturn: aries 9.8 H7
Uranus: gemini 9.29 H9
Neptune: cancer 9.21 H10
Pluto: taurus 9.33 H8

Ok 1st off I c all this aries. Yes in my natal I have that aries asc and I admit I lack patience, blurt things out, like my own way (who doesn't ), get ticked off easy and over it just as fast, but I'm not agressive like an aries. Would the draco moon in cappy subdue that? Anyways that's all I can come up with for now lol any thoughts as to how I need to look at this? If u don't mind me saying, ur like an 'old wise soul' and I hope I don't offend u with that statement lol I mean it in a good respectable way

I c some similarities. I have sun conjunct mercury, venus, and saturn in both charts. Is it supposed to come out that way due to calculations?? That and I c I have aries influence in both the charts. Y doesn't that surprise me lol well I have been called fiesty on occasion. But I still say I'm not overly aggressive lol I let out my *rawr* and then do the mars cancer thing and go hide lol

Hi ShyVirgo1979,

There are very few on LL who are into draconic, and more than that, are well-versed in the draconic charts. One who I can think of is iQ, and another is possibly Ceri. So I regret that you may not receive many responses to it in this forum, but possibly if the topic is started in Astro 2.0 as this is a more advanced subject. Or possibly a mod could transfer this to Astro 2.0 if you like?

Thank u very much its appreciated. B4 anyone looks at the above said placements, I've just realized I used placidus instead of equal housing. Which gives me intercepted houses which I don't do bc I don't know how to interpret it. So it should read:
Sun is in H6
Moon in H4
Merc in H6
Venus in H6
Mars in H4
Jupiter in H5
Saturn in H6
Uranus in H8
Nept in H9
Pluto in H7
