I've had so many NN conjunctions in my relationships and experienced them all a bit differently. Some due to obvious things like the planet involved and/or the house positions. But also within the context of the rest of the chart.

I've read some differing thoughts on NN/planet conjunctions in synastry and I wondered how people have experienced being either the NN energy or the planetary energy.

Many astrologers indicate that the NN person is drawn forward by the planet person, and learns things from the planet person. I've also read the opposite.

My theory is that it works both ways, and my source for this great theory is my own personal experience Indeed, I have learned a lot from people with their planets in Scorpio (in both a fun way and a frustrating way) but even if their NN did not conjunct a planet or point in my chart, I still felt it was a reciprocal exchange.

What are your ideas and/or experiences with NN conjunctions in synastry?

I think's both as well.

For example I have moon conjunct saturn in the 6th house in cancer conjunct nnode in cancer in the 9th house.

My interpretation is that I will teach emotional restraint relating to 9th house issues to north noder and I will get north node growth in my 6th house issues as a result.

Thefish, Thanks for your reply What experiences have you noticed with your relationships with others/synastry? If you are the NN person, does it feel like you are pulling the other forward, being pulled or do you experience reciprocity?

I think as the north node person we tend to feel that the other person is teaching us a lessons whether it is good or bad and that they pull us towards the matters we are trying to resolve in this life. In turn while we are learning we help that person gain understanding in teaching. Meaning that they be much more well versed, learned, stronger etc. but in teaching someone they begin to reasses their position in life.

So in my case in teaching about 9th house matters philosphy, spirtuality etc. I'm able to learn about my sixth house matters as they apply to my synastric (?) partner 9th house matters.

So hence the deep karmic tie. We normally teach to advise others with some reflection and some learning but in Nnode planetary conjunctions the growth gained is so great that we realize that our "student" has taught us in ways we couldn't even learn from a normal teacher. I would equate it to an evolution/awakening or a transformation of sorts.

Thefish, I realized that you kind of already answered my question the first time but I was so tired that I didn't notice. Lol. But I'm glad you expanded on your answer! That is more or less the way I think about NN contacts although I plan to go through all my charts soon to reevaluate my thoughts on this particular aspect and see, given that, if I still feel the same way.

Another question. In your experience as the NN person, can you think of a person whose planet conjuncting your NN taught you about what *not* to do? I ask because I have NN conjunct someone's Mars in Scorpio and I'm not sure I'm really down with the lesson (ie - this is not how I would choose to act). Generally speaking, I really enjoy NN contacts in synastry with anyone, but in this case I feel like I'm being taught from a 1950's school curriculum which is very clearly outdated. And I don't trust the lesson plan

I don't see why not although I would think in your case you having your natal saturn conjunct your nnode would seem to suggest the concept of learning what not to do.

What houses are affected by the mars in scorpio nnode conjunction? Mars is action and in scorpio it tends to emphasize some darker traits not all of them are construed as negative.

There are some areas of our life where we aren't as possesive, strong, self-efficient, self reliant and self-disiplined as we need to be.

Even in the 8th house it could relate a number of topics not specifically sex realted.

Thefish, I actually don't have my natal Saturn conjunct my NN. But in this case, my NN is my 6th house conjunct this person's Mars which also conjuncts his Uranus. In fact he has a stellium including Moon and Venus as well, but Mars is the most exact aspect. My NN falls into his 10th house.
