I'm wondering if this fascination with smell is a common thing with this placement? Who has a Taurus Moon and have you had experiences with smell that you would like to relate? Or do you have a different Moon placement and have a story that has to do with smell that you'd like to share?

Personally, I had a strong experience with smell a few years ago. I was attracted to this guy, off and on, but at the time we were just friends. He was not attractive (recently he hit his Saturn return and it pulled him through some life changes that made him omg HOT)... I couldn't figure out why I was attracted to him (still can't really).

He'd come over my house on game nights and he would stink. I mean just wreak. I couldn't place the smell, it was sort of a musty odor that just rolled off him and made me want to gag. To the point that I had to leave the room on multiple occasions just to breathe. The thing is, I pointed it out a various times (obviously not in front of him) and not a single other person ever noticed a smell. After a few years either I just got use to it or it went away.

I mark those events as being some of the strangest in my life. I could smell something so incredibly vile (radiating from someone I was attracted to) and no one else was able to smell a thing.

For some reason I've noticed that Taurus Moons (and Suns too) seems to also use the sense of touch a lot. Every Taurus Moon that I've known feels the need to TOUCH things, whether that be people or things they want to buy. They are very intrigued with texture.

As for smell... I am not as sure, but that could be true. Taurus in general seems to like to indulge the senses and seem to have a heightened senses.

This could possibly be a Venus thing. We might need more Taurus and Libra dominant people to verify.

I have no Taurus in my chart however I'm a Libra (dominant Venus) who's very sensitive to smells, harmony, color, shape, balance and aesthetics. Ive got an obsession with aromatherapy and can honestly fall weak to the knees around someone who smells really good.

i recently moved rooms in my apartment to one with a smaller bathroom while something gets fixed in the bigger one. someone cleans it everyday but it developed that same ball sweat and testosterone aroma!! see this is y i'd never go gay! dudes stink! women perpetually smell like strawberries! i not listening to those who say otherwise lalalalala!!

i am taurus sun and venus in the libra house.

My house is full of essential oils and incense, smelly candles etc. I'm obsessed with smells.

As a Bull moon myself, I like soft things to snuggle with, dim lights and candlelite, soft soothing sounds, especially of nature, dont like atrificial sounds, nice things to look at and smell....I dont have near the acute sense of smell I used to in my younger years, but a man or woman for that matter pass me by with too much smell on, colonge, etc, I cant stand it, have to get out of their space. I loathe cigarettes, cant even stand when my daughter leaves her packs lying around the house. I HAVE to smell good myself, clean, rarely use anything artificial, sometimes some essential oils from India, but that is it.

Ever walk into a Taurus Moon's house?

Everything is about pleasing of the senses.

I read once where Taurus moon, in a past live, lived in the lap of luxury, I can sure see this with me, not that I have to have expensive stuff, but it has to be sensorialy pleasing and quality.

Airy people and Watery people are the most affected by smells.. and unable to put up with slightly bad smells.
Air in particular likes to see themselves as a person who is somewhere beyond animality so anything that reminds them of their own animality is a put off and psychologically upsetting for them.

Water, on the other hand - is just too dreamy... they want to live in a wonderland where everything is perfect. The exception here is Scorpio. For whatever reason Scorpio seems more like the earth signs in this regard.

So, I disagree that Taurus Moon fits here... unless we are talking about very NATURAL things.

Sand mentioned strawberries... That is natural!
But not so much a cheap deodorant that has a slight strawberry scent, but makes you sneeze as soon as you get within a one meter radius of the person wearing it.

My astro-conclusion is - that the ones who ARE .. have either Venus or Mars in an air sign. If both are in air - then they are really extra-sensitive.

What stands out is I have been diagnosed a few years ago with olfactory hallucinations. The cause of this is unknown. All I know is brain tumors, migranes, and epilepsy have been ruled out.

Interesting what you said about earth people liking natural smells. The rest of your post (actually both posts) are insightful.

But take my case-I have Asc., moon, Venus, 5 midpts, and a bunch (14) asteroids all in Taurus. And I'm VERY sensitive to smells, natural or synthetic. Also sounds-cannot stand to hear harsh sounds. I actually switch TV channels if a news anchor has a harsh sounding voice (pitch and tone) and won't watch a show if an actor has an unpleasant sound to his/her voice. Touch is also very imp.-but no one's disputing that as being imp. to a Taurus.

So I don't know where all this sensitivity is coming from-my chart is full of earth. I have only one planet in water and Sun and Merc are in Gemini.

So what do you think?
