I've noticed a lot of women that have a Sun-Mars aspects are "tomboyish" or refer themselves as feminist. Of course, Sun-Mars gives masculine qualities so it only makes sense. I myself have Sun conjunct Mars in Scorpio, 2d and I'm the same.
Here are a few celebrities:

Milla Jovovich(Sun Sagittarius opposite Mars Gemini - 2d)

Jennifer Aniston (Sun Aquarius square Mars Scorpio - 0d)

Cameron Diaz (Sun conjunct Mars in Virgo - 2d)

Janet Jackson (Sun conjunct Mars in Taurus - 4d)

Demi Moore (Sun Scorpio square Mars Leo - 5d)

if you know any other female celebrities w/ sun-mars feel free to post.

I have a Sun square Mars within a 10 degree orb lol..
Maybe it's too wide to count.

I am a strong person.. I'm a humanist, not a feminist.
I can be either tomboyish or feminine. That's more my Venus trine Mars maybe.
I could easily ACT like a tomboy... but at the same time I can play an extra feminine role as well (Mars/Neptune).

first there’s a difference between being tomboyish and being a feminist i don’t get why they are grouped as synonyms like one can be the other.. you realize a woman can be perceived as "feminine" and still be a feminist, just like a man can be "masculine" but still be a "feminist" -yes men can be feminists too

i dont think i was ever tomboyish although as a little girl i didn care much bout cloths and make up but liked to play and read books, guess i've always been a nerd.. but yea my mars conjunct sun (at less than 1 degree) gives me that edge probably..

I have Sun in Aries sextile Mars in Gemini (in the 12th, no less.) I think this combined with my Mars conj. ASC and Mars opp. Pluto or quincunx Pluto makes me EXTRA aggressive and dramatic - but to me it seems perfectly normal. I definitely could fight like a guy, I can be a tomboy and I've been told I give off a "bi" vibe (uh, thanks?) probably because people can sense both the masculine and feminine in my personality at the same time.

I have sun in aquarius trine mars in libra.

As a child I was very uncomfortable with my "girlness", but that may have been more to do with my upbringing which confused my sense of identity.

As an adult I have definitely embraced being female more, although I don't adorn myself in typically feminine ways. I wear very little make-up, don't get my hair or nails done, abhor heels (I usually wear my dresses with docs), yet, I am constantly responded to by males as very female., Example: someone in my work once said they were "spellbound" by my "awesome femininity" - I was wearing a black loose vest, black baggy trousers, my hair tied back in a plait, a little foundation (to cover my scars), and trainers.

I guess femininity is more about how you move and express yourself.

But yes, I do think I have a tomboyishness to me, yet others don't seem to see/acknowledge it.

I have sun quincunx Mars exact, and I have always switched back and forth between being somewhat aggressive (and tomboyish, when I was little) and being very peaceful.

I have Sun (Aqua) sextile Mars (Sag).I'm a feminist and calling yourself a humanist is ******** , and I mean that in the nicest way possible Betty lol. For one, humanism is a completely unrelated concept to gender equality and another, it's not as if feminists are pushing for male domination.

You're a feminist if you're pro gender equality. Simple.

Idk if I'm that tomboyish. I certainly come off as feminine even though I wear semi androgynous clothing. I have long hair and wear make up (sometimes).

All of those celebrities with the exception of Cameron Diaz are masculine/independent or fixed signs so of course they're going to be strong-minded.

I have sun trine mars. All my close friends have a nice balance of girly and tomboy. I can be a tomboy and I also can be really girly. Like hair, makeup, etc but not afraid to get my hands dirty.
Leo sun trine Aries Mars. 4d

My best friend is more of a tomboy like the girls in the pictures. She has sun square mars. Capricorn sun sqaure Aries mars. 8d

I have Sun (Aqua) sextile Mars (Sag) to copy amowls**

I consider myself a feminist and I'm definitely a bit of a tomboy. I went from realllllly really girly when i was younger, to avoiding pink (almost to this day) and for about a year playing almost exclusively with guys. I used to play a lot of sports, I love biking, hiking, and climbing trees. I avoid heels 98% of the time because I hate feeling like I can't run if necessary (commitment phobe much? hehehe), even lipstick is often too much maintenance for me, and I hardly ever sit like a lady.

I feel really comfortable and embrace what I see as the natural balance of masculine and feminine energy inside myself.

Also I came across this the other day and thought it was brilliant: "Seriously, though, I’d like every man who doesn’t call himself a feminist to explain to the women in his life why he doesn’t believe in equality for women." -Louise Brealey

I am all for equal rights for everyone, having said that i think most men feel the same way,but most of us dont want the label of feminist because alot of feminists hate men, i know that not all do, but still alot do.

I have Sun in Libra opposite Mars in Aries. I'm a bad$$s. Lol. I wouldn't consider myself a tomboy. I'm just a tough women. I've been through a lot. Maybe having Sun-Mars aspects just make you more connected to your inner warrior. Connected to your inner fire. And you like sharp things like knives.

Is it just me or do Mars dominant people have a deep fondness for knives. I love swords and machetes. I don't like guns though. But I'm a lover first. Make love people, make love. Say not to war.

I completely agree with everything you said. Also knives or daggers are suuuuper sexy or an old school spy pistol. I love female - and male - warriors, most of my role models tend to fall in that category.

@Aquaguy91 - Actually I'd say that most feminists don't hate men, they hate misogynistic men who believe that all feminists hate men, because it means that they aren't listening to the message and see any discussion about feminism as an assault on their gender. You can now understand the vicious cycle that goes on here...

edit: Aquaguy91 - whoops sorry i just re-read your message...but I'm going to leave this in here, but it's no longer is a direct response to you

Sun-Mars aspects for women seem to give them masculine features as well, from the pictures you have showed us.

I have sun in Cap trine Mars in Taurus. I was a tomboy growing up, I never played with dolls or barbies which was strange to most people including my family. I've been called a feminist lol.

I enjoy getting dressed up and doing hair and makeup and everything like that, but I guess I'm still most comfortable with a more relaxed or casual look. I have very feminine features though (but maybe this is my Cancer ascendant). Most people would probably put me more on the "girly" end of the spectrum from first impressions, until they get to know my opinionated views on gender roles and stereotypes that is haha...

i have sun conjunct mars, both in libra. i am very girly/feminine and believe in equality more than feminism. the sun-mars conjunction (i feel) has made me extremely ambitious and career-oriented and able to take initiative and kinda run over people a lot, including men. so, a lot of masculine traits for sure when it comes to personality and career, and i always seem to be much 'stronger' emotionally and just directionally when it comes to men i've dated - they always feel 'weak' to me

Wanting to tear down the patriarchy doesn't mean that feminists hate men. The patriarchy hurts men too. Saying that feminists hate men just undermines the entire LEGITIMATE movement.
