Topic: Lessons from your ancestors, where is it in the chart?

I know it can be a south node thing but who exactly is signified by the SN? Also, what about parental lessons, those of your grandparents, great grandparents, if u can look back that far even. I think I can vaguely because they have been written about in minor local publications and I do know bits of important life events like how they died, occupation, etc.. Does anyone have access to similar info? What have been the parallels to your life? Does it show in your natal? IP: Logged |

You cannot see in your chart others lessons. Only yours. Every individual has an individual chart with an individual karma. The natal chart shows YOUR karma related to others, not others karma related to yours. SN is YOU in your PAST LIFE. IP: Logged |

IC.. But it's not the south node I should be looking at if I wanna see MY KARMA RELATED TO OTHERS? So what is it? The whole chart? Also I think my SN is unaspected. IP: Logged |

IC represents your roots, your family life and the very end of your life. To see what karma do you have, yes, you have to check the WHOLE chart. NN is your CURRENT KARMA that you have to burn. SN represents your PREVIOUS KARMA, the karma you have burned and should not repeat in this current life. You have to do the opposite thing of what you did in your past life. IP: Logged |

My NN is in Scorpio, 4H. My great grandfather was a Scorpio and a very prominent, influential businessman. He was actually quite famous in the area where I was born; he had at least one U.S. President as a guest in his home. I have home video he took of Charles Lindberg, converted from old tapes onto DVD. All this being said, his legacy is a sad one. When he sent my grandmother to boarding school, she never forgave him. She grew up extremely wealthy and sad. Then she raised her children the same way. My father was screwed up from this upbringing. There is a tendency still in the family to want the marble halls and extreme wealth, and to care more for money than feelings. Basically I am still living in my great-grandfather's world, when I go to family events. Interestingly, if I can embody the Scorpio energy of composure and poise, I can survive these ordeals very well. I don't know of any other Scorpios in my ancestry, that's why I'm talking about this part of my life.

Grandparents are seen in the 1st house. I Saturn in 1st house. My BOTH grandads were very SATURNIAN. My parents childhoods were not easy at all.

My node is the 8th I guess that is similar but lesser than a Scorpio NN. My grandmother is a Scorpio. Her dad was a general and mayor of our province. He was shot when she was young. I can look it up to see his sign i guess. I dunno what her mom's sign was but i reached her last years. She was an irish businesswoman/ landowner. I do still live on her land. I am not sure if any of her offspring are actually happy as well. I believe some went away to get away from control. I guess that's a taste of my own energy when i think about it. Hmm.. (and yeah Rosalind my h1 is Scorpio) My dad and grandad are both sags. That's my south node. Grandmother on mother's side was a Gemini. She didn't do much from what I recall lol! My grandfather was in the shipping/ boat business, libra with scorp rising. The oldest 1 I could trace is my great grandad a Taurus married to an aqua. He was a filmmaker. What I get from their is more rocky. Studios and houses burned down because film was combustible then, whole ships sank lol, etc.. Uranus is near my south node. At least they're in the same house.
