Whoah you raced in Francorchamps, sweet!  Nice that you have been to Belgium, I really like the Ardennes too, I’m from the North and I enjoy every minute I can spend there in nature. It’s really nice there in Autumn. Eddy Merckx is certainly the man in cycling. Francorchamps is a pretty steep track indeed, I believe the total height difference is 100m. Eau Rouge (we actually call it Raidillon over here) sure is a tricky corner. Here is a short video of how Jacques Villeneuve and Zonta crashed into that corner. Both men are Aries Sun and challenged each other to race through the corner flat out. The team owner's face haha. Men … *sigh* Jacques’ father : Gilles Villeneuve is ... yup : Capricorn Sun, Moon & Ascendant.
He’s a great driver [click] and a honorable man. His life was tragic. 1979 was the year that Ferrari got a good car, but he let his teammate Scheckter win because Schekter was going to retire next season. However the Ferraris that followed in 1980 and 1981 weren’t good enough to win. In 1982 he did have a good car but was betrayed (if you see it black/white) by his teammate Pironi (Aries), despite for Pironi knowing what Gilles did for his teammate 3 years ago ... The race that followed, Villeneuve died in an accident in Zolder, Belgium. He started practicing racing at the age of 19 with a snowmobile, imagine how good he would’ve been if he started earlier like most drivers! They named the Montréal racetrack after him. RIP. Talking about Cevert, Jérôme d'Ambrosio (another Cap) kinda looks like him. Of course not exactly but I see some similar features.

Pandacake,,Woah!! I drove at Francorchamps!. I didn't said I raced at Francorchamps. To do that, you must either be paid a lot, or don't like your life so much. LOL. . It's hyper dangerous and I don't have enough skill to race at Francorchamps. . It's like one of the most prestigious tracks in the world and I wouldn't be able to make a respectable lap without taking colossal risks. Some of the bends are taken at over 180 kmh in passenger cars!! Never mind Formula One. Now. I know you are Belgian, but how did a girl become so passionate about Formula One. Hehehe. IP: Logged |

Lol I really wouldn’t call myself that passionate about it.*blush* My dad and uncle loved cars & racing. When I was like 3-4 or so, they’d let me hear engine sound of all kinds of cars and I had to guess which one. Well ... I never knew so I just chose names that were most fun to pronounce, ha-ha. I don’t think I’d allow anyone in my family to drive any of those perilous tracks. And on a motorcycle? Not even a snowball’s chance in hell ahahah.

The truth is that I could have easily cut off a minute. It wasn't my car and the owner was sitting beside me. The car was new, as in under 2,000 km and was very capable. I simply rolled and braked politley through the corners . I think I could have managed a 9:05, but I wasn't going to push it when the car wasn't mine. Tyres are also very expensive on a new M3. Plus, I think the car wasn't insured for the track The German insurance companies are sharp enough that they have policy exclusions if you bring your sports cars to Nurburgring IP: Logged |
