Hi everybody!I've been having this...er, lovely? T-Uranus poke at my ascendant for a while now. Over the past month, it's become more stabby than pokey, and now, it's to the point of trying to strangle my ascendant and make it change. Everything in my life has changed. My outlook, my future career, my plans, my friendships, my interests, my habits, my body even (I had a corrective cosmetic surgery in late April, just goes to show you the extent of this transit), my moods, my...everything. If there's anything able to change about me, it was changed. That's how far-reaching this transit has been, that's how scary it has been for me - everything that I've been comfortable holding onto has completely changed, ripped out of my arms at a time when I was just beginning to become comfortable with myself! A quick overview: * Discovered astrology and began seriously studying it at a 4-degree conjunction * Discovered tarot and began seriously studying it at a 3-degree conjunct * Major life changes (enrolled in college unexpectedly, started going outside more, started trying new things/going new places, meeting new people, rediscovering old friendships, finding new interests, etc.) in every area from 3-degree conjunction and onward. * Part of conjunction (4.5-3.5 orb or so) period coincided with Sun in 1st house transit, notably strongest period of transit Right now, at the time of writing, Uranus is sitting uncomfortably close to my ascendant on a 1.9 degree orb. I only discovered that this transit was happening about a week ago, and finally found an explanation for all the craziness in my life over the past month in particular, but even the two or three months before now. Last night I was feeling a little exploratory, so I went and checked to see when the conjunction would become exact. Maybe I shouldn't have checked... T-Uranus and my ascendant form an exact conjunction on July 4th 2012 2:19AM PST (8 Aries). Oh, how I will celebrate! But then, there's more...Uranus moves retrograde about a week later, passing back over my ascendant to 4 Aries, the point when I discovered Astrology, immediately preceding the strongest period of change through this transit. T-Uranus will conjunct my natal ascendant after moving direct on March 29th, 2013, conjunct T-Sun (remember, T-Sun through first house, as this is AC) on a tight orb. I've had so much change in my life. I don't know if I can take anymore. Furthermore, what do I do with this change? Will it stick around? Will it disappear? I can expect Uranus to be at a separating 4-degree orb in mid-July of 2013. That's a long, long time. What am I supposed to do? LK IP: Logged |

Hey I have it in my natal chart 2 degrees conjunction, luckily for you it is only temporarely :-) I have it in a mutable sign, and the build up and destroy theme is quite strong in my life. I think you could use the time with this constructively. Like rebuild your personality maybe this could help : Uranus will shake and shatter whatever definitions of yourself that you or others have imposed on yourself that no longer serves you. The ascendant is the projection of yourself to the world, and so your image, or your projection of self to others, whether conscious or sub-conscious will go through an overhaul, but expel words such as 'gradual' and 'smooth' and 'balanced' from your vocabulary. It will be anything but ordinary.Every change that Uranus brings about will bring surprises and shocks, the only way for you to learn this lesson well, is to stop drop roll with the punches and ride the wave. Clinging on to old ideals will make it even more difficult not just only for you to learn your lessons, but prevent better things to come to you. The more you cling, the more your life will rupture in other areas, so let go. Since Uranus is also the planet of surprises and reinvention, do not expect the new things that come in place of the old ideals that you are letting go, to be in any way similar to what you are used to. Uranus also rules freedom. After the shackles of self-definition have been broken, you might find yourself inundated with a lot of free will or free time and you are not sure what to do with it. It may seem overwhelming that now you are able to exercise creative energy or will that you have never been able to do before. Uranus encourages experimentation, but no matter what you get yourself into be sane and safe, because Uranus tends to throw you into the deep end and without a working parachute if you ask for it. Free your mind, and the rest will follow. You are not in control, so give it up. Resistance is futile. IP: Logged |

Is it the t.Uranus conj alone (love the thread title btw) that you think is the havoc, or could it be attributed to t.Pluto as well (?) quote: Transiting Pluto Square Ascendant - Tension arises in your relationships now as you yearn for an intensity which may have been lacking in the past. You are changing and you want your relationships to adapt accordingly. There is nothing wrong with this, as long as you do not try to change others overnight. It may be that you are pushing too hard. Slow down and focus on the positives, while acknowledging the changes that have taken place in you.

Jeez, maybe it's time I spend some time looking over my transits for once! I never noticed that. I can definitely see where T-Pluto has been apart of my life. I think T-Sun transiting 1H+T-Uranus conj Ascendant+T-Pluto square Ascendant can explain a lot of my past month. You're a keen observer, thank you for pointing that out!LK IP: Logged |

Yes the biggest transformations in my life was when T. Pluto was conjunct my ASC. and in my 1st house. Now its moved to my 2nd H and I'm just broke all the time. Also T. Uranus is conjunct my IC and opposite my MC. I just graduated college and the job market is terrible. I feel so anxious all the time, I want to move or travel or go somewhere else and with my friends I'm less tolerant of them, I want to just escape everything. IP: Logged |
