Well, I reconsider a lot before I show affection or express love, which is supposed to be a Venus Rx trait. I court and dance and attract who I want but when things get serious, I split. It's terrible and I shouldn't but I'm a terrified little arachnid, ahahah...when they mean something, I act like they don't. I have another question though... if that's ok..
Are you sure that the reason you are afraid is the.. "Is that it?" feeling - at the end of the yellow brick road, so to speak?
With my ex who had Venus retro in Aries... my intuition was that he wanted to experience a past-life love scenario in this life - He wanted a level of intensity that he couldn't reach no matter how hard he tried. Almost like he wanted me to be his past-life lover.... but I couldn't be that person.
Does that make sense?
Maybe it's too strange.
Also - it was like on the one hand - there was the social *him*... the social face he showed to the world - where he would pretend we were all -ok-.. and our relationship was happy... and then there was the true him who didn't want to be there. The true him felt empty - as though he missed someone so much that it left a huge emptiness in his heart and he was on a constant quest for this *certain* someone - whom he missed (maybe a person from a past life... maybe not?)

I can understand what he wanted and all that...and it would be really cool! But, I feel like that's really unrealistic and it would be very unfair to the other person. Something I read about Retro Venus is that they can be in love with ideas and ideals, rather than the actual person. Maybe that was the case with him?
