What is Pluto doing in your life these days?

Cafeastrology link to Pluto transits: http://www.cafeastrology.com/plutotransits.html

Pluto is at Cap 9 now, creeping up on my 6H sun. I do feel pressure building to become something more, to throw off whatever "masks" I used in the past. I am also cleaning up my diet more than ever.

Pluto is transiting sextile my moon and Uranus.

It is about to square my natal Jupiter:

quote:
If you have been working along lines that are in conflict with your religious and philosophical views, this could be a time of tension. A change either in the direction of your life or in your values will thus be necessary to deal with your growing sense of frustration. This can lead to a religious rebirth, a time when a particular church or cult seems to express what you feel you really need from life.

Bring it on!

And it is about to square my natal Pluto. http://www.spiritualminds.com/articles.asp?articleid=1928

I think I am up for the challenge, but will have to report back later.

Sounds like it's gonna be intense for you!

Um Pluto is almost out of my 8th house, it's been there for some years but honestly I don't know if it affected me all that much. It doesn't make any aspects to my planets or axes, so maybe that's why.

It will make a sextile to Mercury sometime in the near future but otherwise nada! Not that I'm complaining..

I have Saturn to deal with!

Pluto just happens to be sitting exactly on top of my 9* cap moon in the 8th, which is triggering my moon, venus, asc/chiron grand trine also. So he is conj my moon like 0*07 applying and applying in trine to venus 2* and asc 2*.
I had Major family drama that I posted a thread about around 3 months ago, that drama is still continuing, I think my grandmother is dying also, which means I will get a substantial inheritance(8th h). The family problems motsly concerned the Women in my life, namely my sister and mother. Now my grandmother. Oh also a horribly destructive female friend I had. I had to eliminate that friend and disown my own sister.
My emotions have been very intense and Unstable. I have met a man 3 months ago also and have fallen in love. He is natally plutonian just like me and our synastry is quite plutonian. The relationship has been almost absorbinng on both sides, but he seems to be a little more obsessed than even I am.

I have transit pluto jupiter conjunction in 1st house and since pluto has been around I began to believe in other things than my self and the authority beliefsystem, I stopped medication, and started to get healthy naturally with food, body, mind and soul stuff, I learned about astrology and I am beginning to think that there actually is some meaning in all this. I still have problems with going back to where I started, bcause I have problems with going overboard with my beliefs and thn I will get a depression and dont believe in anything. But pluto is just trying to get me to believe in what works for me and when I go overboard I am as miserable as when I am a nonbeliever. It is conjunct 0.5 degree now and I can really feel that the optimal beliefsystem for me is close..

Good to know you came out of Pluto transiting the 8H unscathed!

I have Pluto trine Mercury natally, maybe this is why I have a big mouth. Grand trine in air with Gemini Mars, too.

WOW. That's all so interesting, but I am sorry to hear about your grandmother.

I hope your new relationship is a good one and compensates for your troubles.

I lost contact with my sister also. I don't know what this correlates to, astrologically- Saturn is in my third now, perhaps that's it.

This sounds intense! I have Jupiter in the 9H and have struggled with belief systems all my life. Other people can just ignore religion, astrology, the higher meaning of everything, but I seem to get swallowed up in this stuff.

Best wishes to you.

Oh no, I actually experienced one of the most painful lessons in my life, and that is to let go of someone you truly care about. I haven't completely mastered it, yet.

Also (how could I forget to mention this..) I had quite a few psychological issues during that time, was put on meds for a while for depression/self-harm/suicidal thoughts, brief eating disorders and an overall consuming negativity. So, actually thinking back, it HAS been a horrible transit! Oh my, I've never really made the connection.. But I suppose it makes sense.

Uhm, so yeah, I suppose Pluto in the 8th can be scary. But I'm pretty sure it's not the only factor for all the things I went through, other things have probably played a role, too.

On a happier note, I think that having Mercury, Mars and Pluto in a grand trine is really nice, you can fight for your opinion and assert yourself.

I have Pluto transiting my first house. It's not making any aspects right now (whew), but it was a very interesting time when it passed over my ascendant. I look at pictures of myself from before that time, and sometimes I don't even recognize me (about 6-7 yrs ago).
My boyfriend's Venus is at 5*45' Cap, and he went through some jealousy and control issues big time. He was a real tyrant.
It'll trine my Moon at 13 Taurus starting around 2014, and I keep reading that it will be a "period of profound experience".
Dare I say I'm looking forward to a Pluto transit? Better not.

OH NO!

Well at least you won't have to go through it again unless you live a reeeeeaallly long time.

I haven't mastered how to let go of anyone either. Can I text hug you? ((((hug)))) Because it sucks, doesn't it?

LOL! Right. But I do have Saturn opposing Mercury which makes me sound idiotic sometimes. And Pluto in the 3H natally so it's really obvious when I screw up.

Oh well- life is an adventure, and cheers to that!

So interesting. I don't think Pluto will ever make it over my ascendant so I won't be able to witness that transformation.

You have a really friendly-looking face (saw it on the picture thread). Can I ask what the difference was, back when Pluto was transiting?

One thing I am cringing about is Pluto transiting my 7H when it enters Aquarius. It's transiting my husband's 7H in Cap now, so we'll get a double whammy of Pluto. Fun, fun, fun.

Don't be so hard on yourself, hun.
We all make mistakes sometimes, it's all right. And Saturn probably gives you a sharp analytical mind! Don't doubt your abilities.

Pluto is also transiting my 8th house and quite frankly, it is only halfway through (and currently retrograding -ugh) and I have experienced two actual deaths as well as the end of a relationship with the man I was going to marry (Or that's what we planned, anyhow).

I ended up having to move out of my house, left our dog with my ex, am in the midst of a career change, struggling with money issues, etc. etc. Pluto had been opposite my Sun/Venus when it was at 2 degrees Cap. As it moved away from that opposition, I did start to feel better and then the retrograde happened and BAM - everything fell apart.

It is now squaring my natal Pluto/Karma exactly. Since Pluto is Stationary Direct in my chart, I consider it to be a very strong influence for me. As much as I respect Pluto, sometimes I want to give P a giant kick in the pants (and beg for a breather).

MessyLilLeo, I also have Moon at 13 Taurus - Pluto is currently training our Moon, as a 3 degree separating aspect. I hope whatever profound experience occurs, Pluto takes into consideration the hard work I've done

Doux Reve, Pluto transiting through my 8th has definitely been of a similar tone to what you described. Having to keep learning how to let go of people is one of my life themes. Le sigh. It's no walk in the park, that's for sure.

tr. pluto gave lots of ill feeling although i will admit it has subsided. i feel i don't have enough pleasant things going on in my natal chart or even in my history that will ever help me attract anything pleasant. it's been a challenging last three years for me especially at work.
i grew very suspicious even paranoid of men and some women and for good reason. i've never crossed paths with so many ugly people and ugly personalities ever. pluto really knows how to expose repulsive people and ugliness in general. but it's getting further from my venus and is now approaching my 10H saturn and jupiter. cynicism is beginning to take over . and i am steadily going from "Why me?" to "WHATEVERR" i guess i got stronger. i've been taken advantage of and have experienced so much disrespect its not funny and it all started when pluto got between my moon and venus (squaring both). i had to learn to stick up for myself which i wasnt doing, well before pluto hit my venus. as i said i've crossed paths with many disrespectful abusive men. my father was very abusive towards my mother so i'm not surprised i get confronted with the same thing. i don't trust men and don't see why i should right now. but i will one day. someone will come along and demonstrate what it is to be a good, kind, respectful and honest MAN. good luck to him

Ah! Pluto... My dear friend

Actually, Pluto seems to really be an energy buzz for me. Now that I think back, the major events in my life seem to have a Pluto connection of some kind.

t.Pluto had been conjunct with my SN in the 9th House. Over, and over again. It kept going Rx, directly on my SN. It also created a Grand Trine with my n.Uranus and ASC at the same time, too. The biggest thing is that it seemed to pull up a lot of memories from the past. Plus, it put me in a frame of mind to deal a bit more with my NN path, which I had always ignored. It's as if Pluto was pulling down the NN stuff, if that makes sense. Not in a bad way, though. It brought back one very strong memory in particular, about someone who I had "lost". Now that person has been "found", and it all happened with the Pluto/SN time.

Soon, t.Pluto will give me another Grand Trine with n.Mercury, and n.Pluto. Wow, a Pluto/Pluto trine. I wonder what that'll be like?

When Pluto went through my 8th House, it was fabulous. t.Pluto went opposite my n.Venus, and wow! Did the guys ever come out of the woodwork. It was a real buffet there for awhile. Some of it not so good or nice, but some of the rest of it, well, not half bad! Yeah, I had a good time when it was in the 8th house, but I didn't really lose anyone. Only one person, which did devastate me, but in the end, it was the best thing for me.

Doux, thanks for you reassurance.

After reading this thread I am not looking forward to Pluto transiting my 8H...but that's like 30 years from now.

Cosmic Karma, so interesting about Pluto hitting your SN.

Pluto transited conjunct my Scorpio NN when I was in high school. Those were very intense years for me, lost my mother, had some major family issues, became best friends with a guy I thought was my soul mate when Pluto was exactly conjunct my NN.

Years later it moved to my fifth house so I got married and had kids. My first child was born with Pluto transiting my Venus-Neptune midpoint in Sag. The sun was also in Sag that day, so he has a wide sun-Pluto conjunction.

Mmmm (thinking), I thought about posting an old picture, but I kind of really hate old pics of me! I was a lil bit chubbier...
I can't really put my finger on it, but my attitude toward the role your appearance plays in how you affect the world (and how it affects you!) changed. I used to not give two toots how I looked, and honestly thought that made me more attractive (big surprise, it didn't). Some people can get away with that attitude, they are just ridiculously, stunningly, improbably gorgeous all of the time. I really had to face facts that I wasn't one of those people; I really should brush my hair regularly, wear clothes that fit, etc.
And, during that Pluto/Asc transit, I got a REALLY physically demanding job and lost a lot of weight and gained muscle. And weight loss can really change a person's features. Also, I had had bad luck in male/female interactions before then, young guys that didn't really want a girlfriend, just a "special" friend (I'm sure you know what I mean), and it kind of crumpled up my Venus in Cancer in the 7th that really craves an emotionally fulfilling relationship. That was when I met my boyfriend, and maybe I'm not so happy with the choice I made now, but feeling (romantically) loved Certainly changes how one looks!
So, I guess most of the major changes that took place weren't so much in the way I look, but in the underlying factors for why I looked the way I did.
Good luck with you and your husband's Pluto in the 7th transits, that's one that I'm not going to see in this lifetime.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear about your losses.
I just wanted to ask if "training" was a type-o of "transitting", because I've never heard anyone use that term, but I REALLY like it. I'm still learning lots about astro (and will always), and I've noticed lots of folks don't consider something a true transit until it's within 1 or 2 degrees, esp if it's an outer planet transitting; so that's why I was hesitant to officially say it was happening.
But yes, my Moon is currently being "trained" by Pluto; I'm preparing to have my mind blown!
What really blows my mind about all of this is that, not only does the natal chart, synastry, etc. speak volumes about the hows and whys and give so much insight, but to top it all off, all of these planets keep working with that snapshot of what they were doing at the moment of birth and so much timing and synchronicity, and my words are failing me, and it's TOTALLY AMAZING!!!
I'm sure this all sounds totally naive (because I'm pretty sure it is), and I'm not trying to downplay Pluto at all. I know that there are a lot folks posting on this thread that are going through some truly difficult times, and I just want to express that I genuinely respect that, and pray that your burdens are (en)lightened.

MessyLilLeo,

I love your replies, they make perfect sense. That is so neat how Pluto on your ASC transformed you.

I went through a phase when I was deliberately neglecting my appearance, too. 'Laughed at your comment on that!

Pluto coming into my sun in the sixth is *training* me to be healthier I've always been a health nut by other people's standards but this is something new and exciting. The flip side of the coin is, I might come up against something bad that will force me to call on everything I know, and all the discipline I can muster, to beat it.

Good luck on your moon-Pluto transit.
