Topic: Neptune synastry overlays

Some time ago I posted about someone having a Neptune synastry overlay very near my MC in Sagittarius. According to some material I read, some sources are suggesting I tend to idealize/admire the person, other sources suggest the person idealizes me. I couldn't quite figure it out. Then one person on this site typed out portions of a synastry report they bought, and it happened to include a Neptune sextile & conjunct MC synastry aspect, saying that, for instance, if Person A had Neptune on Person B's MC, that Person A would "idealize" Person B (since their Neptune was on the other's MC), and that Person B (the MC person) would "admire" Person A. I thought it would be the other way around, but other sites I later found seemed to confirm what this person got in their report. Interesting.Then I tried something else I'd overlooked. Besides having Neptune near the MC in my natal chart (10 degrees away, so a wide orb, but still nearing the MC), I considered those I knew born in my generation. I found I didn't really idealize them, but rather, I felt at home in their company and the situation itself felt "ideal," but I admired them as individuals rather than idealized them. LOL, so confusing, yet I have to admit, at the same time, so clear. The funny thing is, years and years ago when I went to one of my high school reunions, I discovered people whom I didn't think really knew me that well had talked about me over the years in a really positive way. I'm not trying to feign humility here (all the while suggesting that everyone from high school was idealizing me), but... I guess I'm trying to figure out how synastry overlays can work, particularly involving Neptune with the whole "idealize" versus "admire" dynamic. Granted, people could say, "Argh! They're just words!" but the sentiment behind those words can make a lot of difference to someone. Anyways, I'll stop here now. IP: Logged |

Sometimes the aspects can go either way, or both ways..
I believe it depends on the persons natal. It depends how aspects to their natal neptune shows how they are "affected" by Neptune. Also depends on what else neptune is doing in synastry and composite.
But Im not 100% sure if I worded that correctly. I have this with fishy, his neptune sits dead on top my MC...
I idolize and admire him..
I think he does to. He tells me your one of the strongest females I have ever met..
He also comes to me for advice, saying your one of the smartest females Ive met...
Maybe thats Neptune?? I think its both of us Feeling Neptune because its very active in synastry and in the composite.

Hi, Lioness. Thanks for the feedback. I'm curious though, what sign is the Neptune in? Also, does your Neptune aspect any of his planets? And, even though his Neptune conjuncts your MC, does it aspect any of your planets, too? Thanks. IP: Logged |

Neptune in sag.. His neptune trines my leo stellium sun, moon, merc.My neptune conjunct his moon, and square his sun.. It's also alot of neptune in the composite.
It's in h7, trine venus sextile moon..

Okay thanks. Sorry to talk "in code" and get this information piecemeal, it's just that someone I know has their Neptune in my 10th, about 6 degrees away from my MC, but doesn't aspect any of my planets. My Neptune sextiles their Venus and squares their Merc. The feelings I'm having about the person feel more like envy than idolization, but since their Neptune doesn't aspect anything of mine, I'm trying to figure out where the envy is coming from. Although their Neptune is near my MC, I've read in a book about Neptune that when that happens, the Neptune person will feel something toward the MC person, but the MC person (me) would not feel any response. What's neptune doing in your chart. Maybe ur not comfortable with neptune...
I gave neptune sq mars so I like it.. HeheAlso is neptune afflicted in the composite, maybe that can explain it.. But then again envy sounds more like pluto.. IP: Logged |

BTW Lioness I just found out I am same Sun/Venus combo as your Fishy  Spooky or wat lolAnd for Neptune, I've never had the conj in synastry, tho I think it would be significant for the MC person, and it depends greatly on the sign. In Sagittarius Neptune wants to roam and explore, incorporate religions and define spirituality on their own terms, picking and choosing as they please. They need the big picture and to see the big patterns. I wonder if their Neptune on your MC might influence you to a wanderlust of sorts? Perhaps your classmates saw you as quite tolerant and broadminded. Here's an interp from Planets in Synastry by Neville, p.156. I have to admit it's odd but maybe it will click.

I just researched the synastry on that. Their Pluto also doesn't aspect anything of mine, lol. My Pluto only trines their Venus. Looked that up, and apparently they are likely to view me a their soul mate. I'll have intense positive feeling toward them as well, but apparently they will view me possibly as their soul mate.
