Neptune in the 12th House—Can I Live In Fantasy?
By amiann | Published: February 24, 2012 |

12th House planets may be a gift or a curse. They ARE a force with which to reckon. No one will argue, on that score. I have been afraid of them. They seem like a behemoth. They seem like huge mountains, off in the distance, too high, too steep. One wants to give up, just in the looking. However, with all things, one can have a shift in perspective and the monster who looked as if it would eat you can seem to dissipate into smoke. No, it is not this easy. However, I am changing my viewpoint on 12th House planets, a bit. The native with 12th House planets will be forced to forge a spiritual path, as shopping for shoes at Bloomingdales will not do it for her/him. He, simply, will not be able to navigate life without God. The 12th House is the House of addictions and hidden passions. We, all, know how hidden passions, left untended in a dark closet will multiply as something untoward. There is a law in Energetic Healing that one cannot leave energy in a hole in the ground, proverbially speaking, and expect it to stay there. No, it will reproduce, silently, and come up and bite you, as it’s reckoning for your silliness in thinking you could push it in to hiding. Truth be told, we can’t hide anything. Certainly not, deep passion. So, what is the solution for this? A 12th House Person must have stop gap measures. He is a volcano, by the nature of 12th House planets. He may blow, at any time. He may implode, at any time. He must take this seriously and set up measures, such that he cam allow steam to release in small increments. The most important measure is a trusted friend to whom one can unburden everything. One can find one,if one looks and prays. Such a person is a gift from God, rare but not impossible. Then, one must cry as if one’s heart is breaking because if you have 12th House planets, your heart did.

Wow Moon and Uranus. That is a lot. Are either within 10 degrees of the ASC? I have many articles on the 12th House as I seem to be drawn to certain subjects lol

What Do I Do if I Have 12th House Planets?
By amiann | Published: February 25, 2012 | Edit

This seems to be an omnipresent question. It may be said or left, unsaid. The song by Maria Mena, “Just Hold Me”, seems to haunt all of us, but the 12th House Planet natives know it, deeply. Others may feel raw and amorphous, but the 12th House person swims in it, struggling not to go under, to the bottom of the sea, as did Sedna. The 12th House experience is very different than any other. They are the demi aliens living among us. They are the poets and the artists. If they do not write and sing from their pain, they have special gifts with which to use their sensitivity. They can go into a hospice and hold the hand of a dying patient. They know the next dimension. If Mother Teresa was not a 12th House person, her work was.

To define the problem is fine, but that slithers around the answer. What is one to do? The first step seems to truly acknowledge your 12th House Planets:to study them in depth. Know who you are, as you cannot run. They are part of you. Only a Higher Authority knows why some charts are harder than others. That answer is unknowable. However, God has given us our personal maps:the astrological charts. Hence, for the 12th House person, he must understand who he is. He must try not to be ashamed of how he is different. He cannot bear an itchy sweater, while another sign could wear it all day. Hence, the first step is to stop trying to be like others: non 12th House people.

Then, one must find someone to whom one can tell the pain, as there will be valleys of sorrow. I don’t know how the sorrow came. It came differently for different people, but the 12th House person carries it. He may seem as if he does not. He may smile or swagger, but it is there. A sensitive person can pick it up. The 12th House person is holding a wound, just as real as a solider holding a war wound, trying to constrict it so as to stop the bleeding. The 12th House person feels set apart from others. The hardest part of all this is finding a person who can bear the pain with you, and not try to fix. You know all the fix’s. You have tried them all, to no avail. That is part of the omnipresent hopelessness which is part of the existence for a 12th House person.

The 12th House person tends to depression. Much of this is the internal isolation. Finding a person who will help you bear your sorrow will help. The hardest part for the other person is to resist the urge to fix, mitigate or make better in any way.It cannot be made better. It can only be released. That is the best way another person can help. They need to shut their mouths and let you cry. It sounds so easy, but few people can do it. You may be surprised, but it is true. Alice Miller brought the concept of the Enlightened Witness to the fore. Actually, if society was not so isolated, the EW may have been an aunt or a grandparent, in days past, when the family was closer. Now, intimacy is rare. Intimacy is one of the cures for 12th House planets. However, intimacy is a problem on it’s own, as the native has to be vulnerable. How can one be vulnerable when there is so much pain that the touch of another may be like fire? This is the conundrum.

God takes relationships very seriously, as He made Adam so He, Himself, would have a friend. As complete as God was, He wanted someone with whom to share. That is an amazing concept, but highlights the importance of relationships. As flawed as we are, there is nothing as special as someone seeing you. Intimacy is “In-To-Me-See”. How hard it is for us to, even, see ourselves, let alone show oneself to another. The 12th House person has more miles to go in the process of seeing himself, as it is harder for him. He wants to run away. He may get into addictions, as addictions are pain killers. The addictions may take him down. They may take him to the bottom of himself, or the bottom of life, itself, into death. The 12th House person cannot escape himself. Others have tried. I have more to say on this subject, but will take a break, as the last thing I want to do is give platitudes on a subject which has had platitudes thrown at it until it wants to vomit.

What Makes for a Hard Chart?
By amiann | Published: December 24, 2011 |

Many different factors make for a difficult chart. I will address a few. The hardest would be planets in the 12th house, which is the door to the next dimension, death, mysticism, addictions and creativity. Twelfth house placements may make one too raw and sensitive for this world. Another factor would be Saturn, the planet of restriction. It may give one deep, insecurity. When Saturn touches the Sun(basic identity) or one’s Moon(deepest, innermost self), one may doubt even the smallest of decisions or actions. Saturn touching any planet brings some sort of restriction. Saturn touching Venus makes love hard. Saturn touching Mars makes assertion hard. Hard aspects to Mercury may make for a struggle in one’s mental health. Mercury is one’s mind. I cringe when I see Mercury touching Uranus in a hard aspect. This can unbalance the mind. Uranus is an electrical planet. It is the planet of genius, but genius gone too far may lead to insanity. If one wants to address asteroids, one can look at the “dark” asteroids such as Nessus, the abuser’s asteroid, Dejaneria, the victim’s asteroid, Sedna, the betrayed one’s asteroid, Ixion, the outlaw’s asteroid . Also, the Child asteroid shows what happened to one, as a child. If the Child Asteroid is conjnct Dejaneria, you may have been victimized. If it is conjunct Sedna, you may have been betrayed by a father. If it conjuncts Nessus, you may have been abused with no thought for your well being.

I can't find the Moon in the 12th House one. This makes one very, very sensitive. It is almost like a more sensitive Pisces moon. One feels things very, very deeply.

The Twelfth House Planet(s) Will Trump The Chart
By amiann | Published: January 19, 2012 |

The twelfth house planet(s) will pull one back to itself as a wound on the body will draws our attention. One cannot get on with daily life when one is in pain. The pain calls for healing. I think an astrologer must go focus on the 12th house . He must see which planets are there, first of all. Then, he must check asteroids. If a client has a Retrograde 12th house planet, that would intensify the effect of the 12th house. After one analyzes the planet, then one must look at the aspects that planet makes. Anything that 12th house planet touches, will be touched with the pain of the 12th house. In order to set a client free, the 12th house must be looked at, as if under a microscope, in my humble opinion.

The Ruler of Another House Residing in the Twelfth —–Does it Indicate Sorrow in the House from which the House Ruler Came?
By amiann | Published: February 19, 2012 |

I was thinking about this, in terms of my chart. I have Ruler of the 5th in the 12th.I lost a child. The 5th is the House of Children. It’s Ruler travels to the 12th, the House of Sorrow, as was it’s old name. Does anyone have a House Ruler in the 12th House? If so, please tell me from which House it came and what you have experienced. This would apply to people with 12th House planets, only.

A lovely woman in one of my Astrology Study Groups allowed me to use her name and to bring you part of her story, related to the Ruler of the 5th House in the 12th House. Gisele Matthews is her name . Here is what she wrote: You know, the ruler of my 5th is in the 12th which is why I chose to never have children.. I did have two abortions when I was in my early 20′s. I had to have them, as I was on heavy medication at the time that would have caused a deformed fetus. And yes, it was very sad.

no , thank YOU , i am the one that is supposed to be gratefull for all this , as well i will be more than glad to look further on this 12th house , some information that maybe vital to it is ... , as well ive read regarding moon in aquarius and how these people probably have had some (as long as ive read) distance with their mothers and had a fast childbirth , truth is i was actually a premature child for about 1 month , and after that when i was around 1 year old , my parents got divorced. it was since i read those little articles about the moon in aquarius where i got more interested , cause several of them forecasted those kind of incidents. and thats why i am trying to understand it better.
still like i told you i will be really glad to continue with this research

I want to write about Saturn in the 12th as I feel this may be a big factor for you. I sense a kind of sadness in you which seems to be a Saturn in the 12th House. I se eit as a child who wants to join the others children but tells himself, "Why bother, they won't like me. It won't work out etc" Then, he doesn't venture out. Does this express how you feel, Jim?

Hmmm , i've always been closed to other people but if there's any chance to talk with other kids i generally think 'oh look we can chit chat a bit' but never think of them getting close to me , becouse i know we dont have much in common, but when i go ahead and talk with them just for chit chat is very rare. You could say i relate to what you said at some level , but not completely, not always ofcourse

I was thinking of Saturn in the 12th as more of a "Why bother? It always turns out badly" kind of a feeling of it not working out before you start. Does that feel like something that fits?
