Hi guys,I'd like to know if you feel "wide" squares, natally. I know the Sun & Moon can have wider orbs, but what about the other personal planets? Do you have a square that is 7°,8° or more, that you feel still has an effect, or is that too wide to be considered? IP: Logged |

Great question. I don't know the answer. I would think that some squares would have an ambient effect, at least. It may depend on the planets and how much they are aspected in your chart. I bet an unaspected planet(or few aspects) may feel it more. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I stick to tight orbits, maximum 5. Follow progressions to see when the square is within orbit. I can give you the classical view on orbits. Sun is 7.5 Moon is 6 Mercury's 3.5. Venus is 4 Mars is 4 Jupiter's 6 Saturn's 5 Uranus, Neptune & Pluto were not known back then. It's presumed that traditionalists would've accepted an orbit of 3 deg. IP: Logged |

Yes.The closer orbs are more insistent & in your face. The wider ones are operative, but feel a little foreign, projected even as though coming from the outside. IP: Logged |

How come Jupiter & Saturn are allowed wider orbs than Mercury, Venus & Mars? That's definitely not how I see things, but thanks for the input. @ Ami & Nine, I agree with you.

I do. I have a 9 deg sq of Saturn to my Asc that I feel. I have a 10 deg orb opp of Sat to my Mercury that I also feel. Out of sign too. I've always been pro wider orbs. IP: Logged |

I dunno.I think most of the times there are other aspects with a similiar symbolism simultaneiously at play, and that strengthens the experience of a certain aspect. IP: Logged |

I agree. It is sometimes diff to say where the energy is coming from, indeed. IP: Logged |

Thank you all for the input, guys. I think houses play a role in the dynamics, as well. For example: Pluto aspects - 8th house; Mercury - 3rd house, etc.
