Planets Conjunct the MC and One’s Inability to Quell Them?

It seems as if the MC forces the native to live out the planet which conjuncts it, and the native must do this in full view of others. I have Moon conjunct the MC. People tell me not to wear my heart on my sleeve. I can’t help it. My moon( my deepest heart) is simply out there for all to see. I don’t know how to live any other way. The planet on the MC is an integral part of one, as is one’s arm or leg. However, this part will show to others, whether one likes it or wants it. Find people’s charts and make a study of just the MC. You will see the person and his planet on the MC as inextricably connected. I will go so far as to say that you will connect the person with his planet on the MC more than on his planet on the Ascendent, even. One can never seem to hide the MC planet as it sticks out like the nose on one’s face.

Interesting...I've got Venus 2d Orb my MC (Capricorn)...I literally have a heart tattooed on my sleeve. Ha! And my Moon is in 4d Orb my IC (Cancer)... What do you think this says about me? IP: Logged |

You show beauty/what you love to the world. The Moon would be your heart. Venus is your love nature, so there is a difference imo. Do you agree? How do you feel about the difference of Moon and Venus conj the MC? The IC may mean that your heart was left in it's childhood home, to some degree? Does that fit? Actually, I would love to discuss this IC placement with you. I could use some help on it. What do you think it means, Darling? ------------------

I can see a Venus conj the MC as bringing beauty to the world either in art such as being an artist or in being beautiful oneself. One may be a model, for example. Or one may be a hair stylist or a clothes designer etc.The moon is one's deepest heart, raw emotions expressed to the world. This may be a writer, a therapist, perhaps. It is the heart expressed to the world rather than beauty, per se, as I see it ------------------

I do think to some degree - my heart has been stuck in my childhood home. I definitely have some issues which you and I have discussed on a thread months ago regarding a fear of abandonment (my father left when I was an infant, my mother had a job that kept her traveling) - somehow, I feel this is interwoven to the way I love now - with Venus. I have intimacy issues - and I won't get too far off-topic here, but think that the opposition here creates that kind of tension between what I emotionally need and how I can emotionally express it.

I get this a lot, about Venus conjunct the MC: the arts. And, it's true - I am an artist. Only recently have I reembraced this side of myself - for many years I doubted my abilities because I am attracted to those who are successful professionally as artists. If you've ever heard of or read "The Artist's Way" - this is basically the hurdle I've had to get over. But, I've studied all forms of arts: 9th/10th cusp: Photography, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Modeling, Garden Design, Architecture - just never finished any. It's hard for me to COMMIT - as I'm interested in SO many forms of the aesthetic. I even LOVE to sing and make music (that's 3rd House stuff, I believe - maybe it's an opposition to my Neptune in 9th - dunno). As far as the IC: I am a writer, I am a healer - intuitive, spiritual, naturopath, herbalist; and I am the friend all of my friends trust with their confidences. I studied Psychology and Philosophy in my University years - thinking there would be a profession for me there... My latest aspiration is to combine my love of art, the healing that I find it does for me (it is very therapeutic for myself) - and bring it to marginalized demographics for the same purposes - therapy and story-telling. I'm starting a small project locally first, with Senior Citizens in Assisted Living facilities due to Degenerative Cognitive Functioning and/or Memory Loss/Dimentia. Each piece they make will represent one memory as they recount it to me one-on-one; while I record the session. Eventually, a show will be curated of an anthology of a generation. In this way, not only is the individual being healed - but also the community coming to bear witness to their life's experiences. I've got Saturn/NN in 6th House Virgo - and this just feels like the right way to integrate the MC/IC. As for relationships - I'm still at a loss  IP: Logged |

Well, WP, I will say this. One MUST live out one's MC. That was my point of this article. Of course, my articles are about me, the charts I do or friends.I have a word for you. Go forward with your dreams. It is very,very scary to succeed. Your inner voices will tell you that you don't deserve it. You will want to make yourself fail, to sabotage yourself, as it is SO scary to succeed. You will go through the halls of Hell as you try to come out of old programming but you will come out, little by little. Then, you will be living your dream. On a practical front, find a friend who will let you cry and unburden these old pains and old patterns. You must, in order to go forward. ------------------

I've got Saturn and Pluto conjunct my Libra MC. Saturn is within a 3-4* orb 9th house side, and Pluto's within a 3* orb 10th house side. What do ya make of that?
I ask because I haven't been able to relate to this part of my chart very well for myself.IP: Logged |

Thank you Ami as always for your sincerity and kindness! I have fallen (minor setback) off track - but this is a really new ambition - the kind that came to me like a lightbulb one day - and immediately made contacts and have positive response. But - those inner doubts which you mentioned manifested in health issues. I'm pretty sure if I continue forth despite the health stuff, I'll get better! Gratefully,

It is so hard to overcome old programming. The hardest thing is to see yourself as worthy and deserving of loving yourself and others loving you. My journey has had so many tears! I could not have done it without God. I would sob and hold my hand out to Him to hold it. At night, I would cry to Him. My faith was that He was THERE. ------------------

I have Venus and BML in Aries conjunct my MC and square my Cappy moon. Venus is at an orb of 1 degree and BML at 4 degrees. I have Mars in Scorpio in the 4th. I think I'm afraid to ask what that means. Lol (FTR, I'm a pro photographer and do other artistic things like tile mosaics and faux painting, so the artsy thing does ring true) IP: Logged |

I have both Uranus and Mercury conjunct MC in Scorpio, on 9H side, 1-2 degree orb respectively. I'm inclined to speak my mind, mean what I say [even if I change my mind later], and I really hate being told what to do. Sun is close-by in 10H, but too far for conjunction [13 degree orb]. My chart is also ruled by Uranus.My IC lies in Taurus. ------------------

My second son's sun is right near the MC, less than 3* orb, in the 10H.Can I just be frank here? Sorry to brag but he is super cute! Everyone just loves him. I can bring him to a party and soon people will want to get to know me because I am his mother. But he really doesn't like the attention! I mean you can almost see the steam blowing from his ears when yet another person stops him to rave about how marvelous he is. He likes performing JUST to make other people laugh and smile. But he doesn't want the compliments. He thinks the whole point is just to cheer everyone up. He already struggles with that sun on the MC, I think. It brings attention and he thinks it's a nuisance. I like how you described the MC Amii !!
Cause I have always thought of the MC as the shadow of oneself; it's casted because of an outer influence and they have no control over it and have noway to hide it whatsoever ... It's just there, and it's always the shadow that appears in people's mind when they think about you, or when your name comes up in their gossips. I've never seen how my MC plays out in my career, never seen them related in any way ... I think my career is affected by my mercury the most. Now the planet on my MC seems to absorb all the positive energy I have or I 'm willing to give, and it's frustrating. I have an aries sun, with moon mars conj in the 5H and sun is the 2nd strongest planet in my chart, but the way people view me , it's noway near shiny or positive ... I think it's because of the MC... And since it's a singleton in my chart, it has a stronger effect ?
