From my blog...The Venus transit across the disc of the Sun will be visible on June 5 or 6, depending where you are in relation to the international date line. Here on the west coast of the USA (Portland, OR) it occurs from about 3:05 pm PDT to 9:44 pm after the Sun sets here in Portland at about 8:55. Here is an animated preview from Wikipedia commons:  *DO NOT view this event directly as it will produce partial or complete blindness. DO NOT view this event through anything but proper viewing equipment or shaded eclipse glasses.* Basic Dynamics Astrologically it is the re-calibration of humanity’s social values structure (Venus) to be consistent within oneself, to be fair, balanced (Gemini) and to align with the current paradigm of energy and consciousness (Sun) on the planet. Venus Retrograde (Rx) This time Venus is in its apparent backward motion across the Sun and this means internal dynamics, going back, reaching back to reconnect with something left behind or to tie up loose ends. This can mean the re-entry of a previous loved one into your life – IF there was anything left unresolved. There is always decision – free will. The appearance of such a person does not mean fate choosing for you. Venus retrograde can also mean reconnecting with the values of personal past life experiences that need to resurface for a fuller self-expression to take place. It can also mean completing karma with someone from your past. You may appear to be meeting them for the first time, but a moment of instant connection can reveal that you have known them in a previous existence. Resolve these things to a place of child-like free giving Love. Gemini: basic balance and primary relational awareness The sign of the twins is the sign of first awareness of equality, of the I-thou dynamic. Developmentally it is the beginning of mobility – being able to stand up and maintain one’s balance, as well as the beginning of communication in a commonly understood language. Fair play is learned now or one becomes a bully. In adult life this means that our relational interactions have a basic balance, an active outward involvement. Communication must be fully active in our primary relationships in order for things to go smoothly. Listening is balanced with talking. The Venus Transit is falling on my birthday, directly conjunct my natal Sun at 15º Gemini. Also conjunct the transiting Venus/Sun are my Mercury/Chiron/ASC. Plus all of the above is in opposition to my natal Uranus, which just happens to be in conjunction with the Lunar Eclipse at 14º Sagittarius.. I'm not quite sure what to make of all this.. Not too mention the additional natal aspects that I have involved with this transit of Venus, Any ideas??IP: Logged |

This Venus transit exactly opposed my sun (well, by less than a degree) at 16'16 Sagittarius. I viewed the transit at my local planetarium/observatory with my best friend, her daughter, and the guy I've been dating since the beginning of April.Immediately following the transit the guy I've been dating started the dreaded "relationship talk" with me. It was awkward and I still feel a little confused at the moment but he confessed basically a lot of strong feelings for me. I also had an ex text me and say he wanted to talk. Vewy Intewesting. In March, I met a man who I became convinced was my soulmate due to our connection and the incredible astrological placements we shared. However, in April, I had to break up with him due to circumstances beyond my control. I thought it was over and that I would never hear from him. HE SENT ME A TEXT YESTERDAY RIGHT DURING THE TIME OF THE VENUS ECLIPSE to say that he wishes we were still together. I was so busy, I didn't even see the text until I checked my phone in the middle of the night. In the meantime, the circumstances that lead to our breakup are shifting... IP: Logged |

Venus retro tend to be a good time to go over unfinished businesses or relationships. Yes, you can be reunited with a loved one during this transit, and you two can rehash issues and see how to work things out, but don't rush into making commitments until Venus turns direct.

Venus Rx falls exactly on my Sun/Moon midpoint in my SR chart this year (gem 7) and is conjunct Jupiter and transiting SN *and* conjuncts my natal ASC. God only knows what's in store for me this year. IP: Logged |
