always in their head? how do you get their attention? person with mercury in taurus 12th house? are they always lost somewhere dreaming or they just don't like talking or they just don't like people? in all the mercury sign, is this the quietest and secretive one especially with the 12th house? what was your experience? i know a mercury scorpio also who is quiet as well just like this.

I have this in Aquarius. I remember when I was younger my family thought I was mental because I would say things in my head and think I'd said them out loud. Well according to them anyway. I just thought they hadn't heard me and would be like "well?" and they'd burst out laughing and say "you didn't say anything". Still to this day don't know if they just weren't hearing me or if I was actually mental and talking in my head.

Doesn't seem to happen any more though. I am still very quiet and locked inside myself. Being shy in the first place and then problems with communication as well really puts one off talking.

Strangely, I have that placement. I'm a Taurus with Mercury in Taurus in the 12th. I have three other 12th house placements.. I am not always in my head. In fact, I am very practical. However, I can't stand ******** , hipocrisy, and superficiality which means I don't engage in needless conversations. I make small talk when I need to, but most of the time I feel talking is unnecessary. I do have moments when I talk a lot but usually I prefer to talk when I have something important to say.
I am deeply interested in subjects that have depth and those are subjects I feel are worthwhile talking about.

It's true for me that Mercury in the 12th makes me releatively shy and thoughts are kept to myself. That's probably a big reason too.
