Just so you know: I still don't know what my Ascendant is, so I can only really talk about my planets. Sorry about that...

I was looking through some articles about my Mercury T-square and how my communication might be affected by Mars and Neptune and then I just decided to look at a combined natal/transit chart. There's when I saw that Saturn in Libra opposed my Aries Mercury, and completed a transitional Grand Cross! I don't really know what to do with this, since I am not that comfortable when talking to begin with and this will supposedly make it harder?

I already had one recent instance when I could barely focus during a conversation I was having (though that could also have been the fact that I was hungry. )

Can anyone help me out with this? What do I need to do/know?

BTW, yea, I was trying to pull a Monty Python reference. I know it's no good, but I wanted to say it anyway.

You have not an grandcross. Saturn 6 and pluto 19 are to wide orb.
I like your chart. You have both easy and hard aspects. An T-square is the best you can get. That give you the power to force you forward.. and the strenght to be succesful in whatever you want to do..

Oh, I am confused... Does the transit Grand Cross have to be the same as the natal? I figured that Pluto's is the energy that I guess would ease the tension of my T-square (but since it's so wide out that it isn't a true Grand Cross), but I thought this was different since transit!Saturn and natal!Mercury are directly opposed.

Thanks for liking my chart. I wish that everything you said there applied to me. It's nice to think that the potential is there, though.

Saturn can ground you, bring you into reality and deeper maturity. It doesn't have to be bad.

Pluto doesn't play into the grand cross/T-square, but it does play into your lovely Grand Trine in your natal chart. Did you notice that?

Yes, I have. I don't really know how to channel my Pluto energy, which is why I don't really know how my Grand Trine works, but how come it doesn't affect my T-square?

I read somewhere that the closest trine or sextile to one of the squaring planets would be the solution to the tension of the squared planet. Was I wrong to see Pluto that way? My Neptune sextiles Pluto and my Mars trines it....

I admit I am kind of afraid of these Saturn transits. I don't really know what it would mean for my Mercury to be grounded at this point...

I'm not an astrologer, but I like Benjamin Bernstein's approach to astrology: "It's all good!" Everythign has both a positive and negative potential, and it's our choice how we use the energies available to us.
As a Capricorn I'm pretty cozy with Saturn. Nothing to be afraid of. It's like a strict dad who makes you work hard and do your best so you'll be successful when you grow up. Saturn is related to conservatism, maturity, hard work, ambition, and... REWARDS for a job well done! If you're willing to be proactive about learning those lessons, Saturn won't have to "force" them on you via the "scary" situations people talk about. Saturn opposing Mercury... again, I'm not an astrologer, but I think it would be about being practical, careful, methodical in your communication style. However, since Mercury is the "tension point" in your T-square, this Saturn transit might actually have the effect of bringing some relief from that tension and maybe it'll make your communication easier. I've heard that grand crosses are easier than T-squares in the sense that they are more stable.
This is just me rattling off things I've read and heard; like I said, I'm not an expert.
You'll be fine!!! Hugs!

Thanks so much, Joy11.

I don't really know what to do since I would already consider myself to be pretty inhibited when I write/talk (which makes me think that maybe I am supposed to talk more and actually engage with people- which is pretty tough for me) but I really needed the encouragement.

It's kind of confusing, though: how do I learn a lesson when I don't know how to find the lesson in the first place? Maybe I'm reaching too much or being too literal?
