Which midpoint should I use? Near or Far? I suppose near, is it right?

No problem

yes, Near is your Mid-point. for example If your Sun is at 8 Gemini and Moon is at 9 Cancer, it will say Mid-point Near 24 Gemini, Far 24 Sagittarius. 24 Gemini is your Mid-point.

I cant be sure but I think 'Far' is the other(opposite) end of your Mid-point axis so it is important as well...
