Interesting! Thank you! That chart on the second link looks very helpful. I'll have to compare it to my experiences. Transiting NN is coming up on my Venus so that'll be a good time to investigate.
I used to have a book called Charting the Times of Your Life by Gary Goldschneider. He breaks the zodiac down into 48 "personology periods," and claims that as the sun passes over each period, everyone is experiencing that same energy at once, regardless of natal charts. I studied this for about four years until I was convinced there was truth to the idea. For instance, the Pisces-Aries Cusp tends to be tumultuous and difficult every year...there is a restless, stubborn energy to it, and people just tend to ague more. Ditto for the Aries-Taurus Cusp...which is actually one of the craziest, most violent cusps of the year.
At the end of the book, he provides readings in a similar vein for the transiting nodes: the theory is, everyone feels each nodal axis and a general "push" to go in a certain direction, depending on the transiting nodes.
Unfortunately he only provided readings for about five years after the publication of the book. So I have used his other book The Secret Language of Destiny, which is all about the nodes, to piece together my own interpretations, just for my own sake, usually. But what the heck, I'll share my theory with you:
Right now I would say that with the NN in the first decan of Sag, which is associated with a serious, loyal, honest energy, people will feel more inclined to take greater responsibility for others, get to the bottom line...moving away from "talk for talk's sake" and taking on difficult tasks.
I am also more keenly aware lately of how we all have to pitch in together to make better communities. This is the Sag spirit: international, philosophical, humanitarian. The Sabian symbol also seems to fit.
