Mars in Cancer is in it’s Fall. The Fall is as it ‘s name suggests. The planet does not like this placement. The holder of it does not like the activity of the planet as it it comes with so much difficulty. Mars is the planet of drive, all drives. The holder of the Mars in Cancer may be frozen, in fear and uncertainty, when action needs to be taken. Cancer is the sign of the mother, the nurturer. The Moon loves to be in Cancer. The moon bathes those she loves with waves of warmth and comfort. The Moon in Cancer nestles them as a mother bird with wings of succor and comfort. However, Mars in Cancer may look like a deer in the headlights if strong action is demanded. She would rather hide her anger in her crab shell than express it and risk rejection. Cancer Mars is scared to death of rejection. She dances around anger as the crab goes in and out of the crab shell . Another person’s anger can send the Cancer Mars in to her own shell. The Cancer Mars puts emotions in to her stomach. Cancer rules the stomach and this Mars may overeat or not eat, at all, when stress hits her. Her stomach will be an issue for her, either way. In Chinese Medicine, the stomach is the seat of nurturing, so it is no surprise that all thing stomach related are issues for this Mars.

Mars in Cancer looks for true love. She is not a flighty one, jumping from bed to bed. She needs one true love and mates for life. The partner will be nurtured, as no other. However, he must be sensitive to her moods. He must be gentle. Kindness gets her out of her shell, so do not be harsh with her, if you can help it. This is a cardinal Mars, so she can be a leader. However, it is usually in the affairs of the home and with her loved ones. She will forget all her inhibitions if someone hurts a loved one. Then, she will race out of her crab shell, claws flying. Remember this, those who would toy with the Mars which rules the sign of the mother.

Perhaps, the single hardest quality for the female Mars in cancer is not being able to access her own power. She may be an old fashioned woman, in this sense. She may faint, as the ladies of old, when trouble comes upon her. She does not take action, as a natural route for her emotions and passions, as does a Mars in Aries or Scorpio. She may become helpless as a Damsel in distress and wait for a handsome prince to help her pick up the pieces. One caveat for this Mars would be to take her power, as it does not belie her femininity. That is an old wive’s tale, of which she is so fond.

Btw- i have cancer moon too but my Mars in scorpio , you 're right about this mars will not hesitate to whatever she want. Somehow I feel he 's the same intellectual like me though.

I am a female Mars in Cancer. The hardest thing is to get behind the eyes of other signs OR this one, in a man, as I am one person with certain placements. That is the single biggest challenge. That is why I welcome discussion from people with any placement, personally, or their experience with other people.

I learn from you all, my other astrology groups and doing charts. Other than that, I can't personally experience being another sign or another gender in this sign, in this case.

That has to be more lol
I hear a Scorpio Moon or a hard aspect between Pluto and Venus or Pluto and something else, I will go out on a limb and say no way is that Cancer Mars, as Cancer Mars is passive. She may have had Cancer Mars, but that ACTION is not reflective of that one placement, in my opinion.

She may have had Uranus square Mercury, as that can tend to make the mind erratic, shall we say.

It sounds like Moon/Uranus, something in Aqua or something like that. Does he have anything like that.

One client's b/f has an Aqua Moon oppose to Uranus. He is scared to death of commitment. I am feeling something like this, more than the Cancer Mars.

You are being way too critical of your friend. Dude, the guy she loves is out banging another chick. She is bound to be hurt and on emergency mode. Also about the grandpa thing, yeah that is going out of hte way, but with her situation who knows maybe it needed to be done.

I think the guy is a major douche. Your friend is extremely hurt and lashing out ......as is NORMAL!

But when I do get mad, the Mercury square makes me say some of the vilest things you will ever hear. I don't just hurl random insults or curses: I'm cold, calculative, and fiery beneath the collar all at once from the Mercury-Pluto mix. I've slapped and even punched people when I finally EXPLODED from this placement, and it shocks the hell out of people I know to hear about it!!

Agree with that Mercury- pluto aspect , I hacve mercury in scorpio conj. pluto . So when I'm angry , I' ll no doubt ... but with the contact of pluto here give me a profound analytical thougt too
